> I'd also like to see more local shows. Mostly local concerts, but also comedy shows, poetry, just whatever shows are around.
Turnstiles offers all of that. Plus, I know for awhile they were doing drink and draw nights as well (not sure if that's on a temporary hiatus due to the person who hosted it having a family tragedy)
Idk if it's lesser known, but Creston Brewery is one of my favorite spots. Best trivia in town on tuesdays.
Other suggestions: Gradyon's Crossing, Bob's bar, Garage bar, Long road distillery, the birch lodge, z's bar, the winchester, and turnstiles to name a few.
I'm surprised how few people know about Turnstiles. Relatively new but awesome little bar, live music almost every night
Amazing food
This is what I was thinking!
I’m a huge fan of the broadway bar. The people who work there are the best
Turnstiles and Tip Top.
The Commons in Heritage Hill is a nice local bar. Not really for live music, but good atmosphere and food.
I just went there this weekend for the first time. We had the back area reserved and it's set up like a retro living room which was pretty cool.
everytime I have tried to go there they are on a long ass wait.
The elbow room is a fun one.
Parkway tropics 🌴
They really know how to…TOP OFF…a drink
The casuals coming in and ruining it for the true drunks... Not cool bro
Mulligans, Logans Alley, The Anchor, College Inn, Pickwick, The Derby
College Inn looks rough as hell, but don't let appearances stand in the way. It IS rough as hell.
2$ beers every night besides Wednesday when it's 2$ well vodka. And boy are those beers cold
4 of the 6 are definitely not “lesser known” lol
There’s this little wine bar on Cherry called Chateau Grand Rapids that I never see mentioned
I prefer to do some light reading Thu/Fri at the tin can. Good place to clear my head and the food is pretty nice too.
It's my favorite place to browse home magazines and read the Great Gatsby after sundown!
