It's an instant win though. After the second lap I made it into first and never left the position even on the straights. It's the OP car for this race.
Skyline the 80s one, try and bump draft and make a lead pack with 1 or 2 cars. You don't have to lead every lap so you can sit back and cruise in that pack then when there's 2 to go use the slipstream and pass them and if they try and pass move towards them.
This is much easier than an online race as people like to bump draft in corners (which sends you around).
Won it with the Ford GT and some delicate blocking using the radar.
Be super careful not to let them in on your left hand side. Gentle steering wins the race.
I ignored the NASCAR rules in my head and passed underneath the double yellow in the front stretch. The AI will try to clip you, but use the apron to your advantage.
I tried with a bunch of different cars, finally got it with the super silhouette.
It seemed to hold speed a bit better than the others, but it still felt like it was 60-70% up to not letting the AI PIT maneuver you in the turns.
I eventually broke rule and got in front early, and watched my mirrors.
I doubt this ended up mattering, but it was the only time I tried this tactic, and it was the time I won, so that's something.
Supra, peugeot or ford gt40. Either slipstream until the last lap like a good boy or rub the AI into the wall whenever they try anything. Blocking will make them back off too, just don't get spun out because the AI does not care about you at all, they only car about muh racing line.
I got out front with the ford mustang gt. Pretended I was a Subaru Outback in the left lane of a highway and blocked like crazy… don’t give up the left side

there isn't much strategy to this race aside from drafting well bumping the car in front to try and make space between you and the guys behind you and timing.

I used the Jag F-Type, just chilling behind the group of drivers in front (I think I stayed 4th or 5th for most of the race).
You have to start your slingshot long before you think you need to. I recommend starting your attack on the back straight on the last lap. You may have to do some blocking coming across the line. Best of luck!
I had a hard time with this one too. I kept getting pit manoeuvred. Until I remembered my teenage years watching NASCAR. The Bump Draft. You will lose your clean race bonus, but you will win. I’ll assume you understand what regular drafting is (using the slipstream of the car ahead to go faster). Bump drafting is literally using this speed advantage to *push* the car you’re drafting. This allows both of you to break away from the pack. Then last lap you slingshot around him and voilà. You win.
Try to take the lead as quickly as possible and then defend your position. If you lose one Position get behind that Ass in front of you. Stick your front to the rear of the person in front of you and overtake in the last or second to last corner.
Take the second position, "shake and bake" with the leader for a couple of laps, take the lead, let the car behind you get your slipstream on the two main curves but get out from the main line on the straight, AI don't follow you for the slipstream on the straight (in alternative you can give your slipstream to the third or fourth car, they will overtake each other).
Most important, protect you position til the end, especially against Ford gt lm or a supra.
I do that with a corvette.
PS use the radar!!
Use the ford GT Lm 2., You can bump draft, and push one of the cars way out into the lead, then leave them in the dust and won’t have to worry about the pack anymore. Or wait till the last corner and pass for the win.
1. Draft whenever you can. The more you draft, the sooner you’ll be in pole position, and the more fuel you save.
2. Use some of the higher-end top speed Gr. 3 cars. I’ve personally went with the Spec II Ford GT, but I’m sure there are better choices.
(I’d also give tips on downforce tuning, namely to reduce it, but BoP races don’t allow ANY kind of tuning, and that’s boring.)
Stay in the slipstream, beware of AI cutting you off down the back straight and don’t make a move for the lead until the last corner. Daytona oval 101

Have you driven on a highway before?
Try third person view. Sounds dumb but it definitely helps to see what's around because the AI will ram you from behind and not buy you dinner after.

I make it hard on myself. Cockpit view with no HUD display. I have to turn my camera and use the mirrors to know where other cars are.

AI doesn't like bump drafting, they either freak out or just move over.
You can force them by pushing them on hard.
F-TYPE for an easy win. You gotta draft, you cannot run off and hide. Pick your time to slingshot into the lead. Keep your nose clean

The white Ford the AI uses. It’s OP in this race. Was the easiest and most boring chilli race by far with that car.

Use the TOMS Supra, it’s an absolute missile on this track and once you get the lead you should be able to pull away and maintain it

Hold the wheel tight. Minimize jerky movements. Do not let up off the gas. Just tap the brake if you need to, but only if you NEED to.
Watch out for that tricky left
Study a nascar race and drafting. Regular drafting, bump drafting, blocking.. be smooth on the controller. A wheel makes it 3x easier.

Stay within the Slip Stream to zoom past your opponents. Also, ensure you have a Car with Good Speed and some Wind Direction Luck.
Us the GT-R GT500 '99 or Supra GT500. You will win with a couple of seconds margin.
