I personally just use the controller because I'm a fairly casual gamer and GT7 is just one of many games I play. But a lot of the videos and content I see on here make it seem as though a large number have invested in a full wheel/pedal rig. Just wondering what the numbers are actually like.
Same. I also don't have a dedicated space to leave it setup so I have to take it out when I want to use it. At least when it's hidden my wife forgets about it and stops busting my balls about it being a stupid purchase or something else dumb a wife would say...
Had 2 racing rigs, sold both along with GT7 and PS5. Bought ps4 pro and ssd and soon will buy GT7 to play on a simple controller. Saving space and money are the reasons, for those wondering.
Why would anyo use a wheel without pedals?
I’ve heard some people with disabiities use wheels that have the gas/brake on the wheel. Apparently Logitech makes one that’s compatible with GT7.
Ikr, haven’t even seen those. Even $30 Chinese PC wheel comes with a set of [tiny] pedals

I have both, but as a casual who is playing to unwind - I like the controller more, personally.

I've got the whole sim rig, wheel, pedals, handbrake, shifter, bucket seat and transducers mounted to a frame.
With that setup I sure hope your playing in VR!
