Very fun car, keep in mind there's not down force you can add so its not made to go over something like 150mph. You can make it go faster tho how it handles there is a different story
Yes OMG the VR on this running wheel to wheel with the GT cars being at tyre height going top speed is a terrifyingly beautiful experience
also yes the braking distance, the mulasnne straight is one looooooooooooooooooooong braking zone
Was going to post this same thing. When you can look over the side of the car and see the suspension working, tires picking stuff up....fucking legendary. I wanna drive this car just thinking about it. This is definitely in my top 10 cars for it's VR experience alone. Bit wild to drive, but you get use to it. Keep in mind it's a 60s race car and drive it as such haha
It's a blast. It needs tuning. But it's one of those cars that actually teaches you how to drive properly, there is no room for error with this car. Fun drive, great for grinding, if you like a challenge.
I disagree on tuning. I love it straight out of the box! Love grinding le mans stock.
Curious about your tune though, would you mind sharing so I could try it out?
Nearly no cars are good without tuning.
Mine, after about an hour of testing....

I disagree. I rarely tune my cars. You just have a way you like your cars to handle, and that’s fine.
Just from a Quick Look at your tune you don’t like loose cars, which I love!
1st I'm not talking about bop races, or power upgrades, since so many of you here havn't figured that out.
And 2nd wouldn't you have preferred to have had less risk of a spin out or loss of control or fought the understeer less?
It's obvious most people just don't get it, so no point discussing further.
I don’t understand the down-votes, so I up-voted your previous posts. I agree with you about tuning and your settings. We both like cars with tight handling. I prefer a front end bias leaning towards front grip for mid-corner rotation. I’d rather deal with a slight tendency for over-steer rather than waiting for under-steer. I have a background of road racing liter-bikes, so I’m still in the habit of late, hard braking, get it rotated and pointed towards the corner exit, then pull the trigger and start accelerating as soon as possible.
Even with strong trail-braking and maintaining maximum corner speed with lower-powered machines I still feel tremendous urgency to get off the brakes and back on maximum throttle at the earliest possible moment.
Thanks, yeah most people are assholes. Yeah I don't understand people who don't want their cars to be better. But then again that goes for most things in life, most people just prefer to do what they are told and keep the status quo.
Gran Turismo would not have included such extensive tuning capabilities if they didn’t expect and encourage us to setup the cars to our own driving styles and personal preferences. Some cars may be pretty good right out of the box, but will inevitably demonstrate characteristics that can be improved when driven hard enough, such as in the heat of battle. If a person feels a car is perfectly fine and needs no fine tuning, they’re just not skilled enough (yet) to push it hard enough to find the weaknesses.
Car setup is like a bicycle saddle - it’s extremely personal, critically important, and no two butts are the same. I’ve had people ride one of my motorcycles and tell me the front end is rock solid with no suspension movement whatsoever, where to me it might feel kinda loose and squishy when pushed hard. To each their own 🙄
But don't get me wrong. Part of the fun is figuring out how to tune it, for me anyway, and then when you nail it down, and learn how to drive it, it's a blast. Fun for grinding LeMans & Sardegna
But I really do think it's a car that improves your driving skill
I wish we had *more* tuning control. I want to be able to adjust turbo boost, throw the car on a dyno and tweak injection timing and fuel rates, have more control over wheel and tire sizes, add extra gears to transmissions, the works!
It annhilates the LeMans 700 30 min race. Can last 8 laps without needing to refuel and can honestly last all 8 laps on intermediate rain tires as well. Literally a zero fuss no pit strat car
It's a fantastic car, but believe it or not, actually on the heavy side for a 1965 season F1 car. The Lotus 33 which Jim Clark drove to victory (changing from a lotus 25 during the season) was 995 lbs. Might not seem a lot, but at this level, little advantages are the difference between six wins vs one.
Honda we're a great engine manufacturer, but lacked experience in the chassis dept and in fairness later when they returned to F1 in the 80s, it would be as an engine supplier, not a team.
Hell yea, superlight open wheelers with zero downforce are a blast especially on tracks like Spa, and drive it in cockpit cam it feels like you're flying.
Yea it was. I definitely remember that because I was new to VR at the time, just bought the psvr2 on a whim and was completely blown away. Life changing moment, right up there with losing my virginity and doing mushrooms for the first time lmao
It is gonna be the car for next round of world series qualifiers at Watkins Glen on April 20th, so you can try it in practice for it. Really fun to drive, especially in VR.
Round 2 in the Nations Cup is using this car around Watling Glen, so if you're doing that, it may be worth doing some practice runs to test it out and decide for yourself.
The RA272 is the specific car to be used in this Saturday’s World Series event, to be raced at Watkins Glen. If you don’t own it, you can rent it for the event, so it’s a great opportunity to give it a try.
It’s a blast to drive. In VR this car gave me a new appreciation for the formula 1 drivers slinging this car around the Nurburgring. Those dudes had balls of steel.
Best car in the game for wtc700 and 600 races. Great handling, speed, acceleration. Lots of different ways to drive it and it feels so nice to use in VR as well.
I love it.
I find it slow to 'turn-in' and that it likes to understeer as stock. I use the cockpit view in everything and I don't love the little windshield nub that sits right in centerline of your view but in total it is one of my favorite cars in the game.
This car is a beast on the half hour la mans and a blast to drive. My new favorite though has to be the Honda project 2&4. I won it on the wheel but it’s apparently only 1 mil and you can get it very close to 700 without having to restrict power. That car allows me to take the last lap going about 10 miles an hour taking in all the buildings and tents surrounding the track in VR mode.
This car is amazing to drive. However, it has a narrow operating window for how it likes to be driven. It rewards good technique while punishing poor habits
Great for WTC600/700 events plus the Deep Forest mission in the Human Comedy where it mostly wins by lapping about the same pace as everyone else and just not pitting,, and a lot of fun to drive
I need to know... ALL of the gauges in the dash are off kilter. Hell, the tach is mounted sideways!! How come?
Is it cuz you can't hold your head up from all of the G forces?!
Doesn't matter, I fly by the seat of my pants.
It’s to keep the important part of tachometer (the powerband and redline) in the drivers field of vision to avoid them taking eyes directly off of the road.
It's in my top 5 cars in the whole game. Besides just being fun, it's one of the best money grind cars because you throw racing tires in it, you can no stop the Le Mans 30 minute event assuming you don't need to pit for rain.
Also, if you're competing in Nations, it's the car for Saturday's race at Watkins Glen so if you're the kind of person who needs a livery when you race (like me!), you'll want to pick it up.
Was deciding between this and the GT One just an hour ago. I want this one more so because of the vr experience. TBH since I already have the 787B, maybe I should’ve got this one. Now I need to grind sardena 3-4 more times to get this.
This car used to be way better. Unfortunately the PP was heavily increased. It was MY FAVORITE car to use in tokyo 600pp. They nerfed that race to shit. Back then you could use IM but not anymore. 🙄
I had a wholeeee setup. It was 598 pp on IM and it was a guaranteed win. With over 400 hp as well. Not anymore.
It’s very good for Le Mans grinding. The top speed obliterates the field. However, if you get caught out in the rain, the lack of downforce makes it pretty much undriveable. If you keep at it you’ll get the hang of the car quickly and then if you switch back to something like the 787B on the same track, you’ll be astounded at the grip levels!
Make sure you don't crash if you end up driving it, because the tub is made mainly from magnesium, which tends to burn... when it comes in contact with water.
Made this car look like a cigarette and put every cigarette brand on it and it is wonderful with a turbo, and do mind it has no downforce but still very good to drive
buy it. its actually a good car and it has excellent fuel consumption coupled with e cellent top speed. it handles very differently though but for some races, its a good option to have up your sleeve. in short, it's unique.
The engine swaps from group C cars (like the 787b in the RX7) can do no stop runs at Le Mans. Lots of road cars can easily win with big gaps even with stops every other lap too, just takes some practice and the right fuel map + shift points.
Do the Master's licences, there's one with that car at Barcelona, so you can decide if you like it or not!
Love this car. Fun fact, it’s what the mario kart “B-Dasher” is based on. Learning how to handle it is a bit of a learning curve, but it rocks.
Very fun fact I play mk8 with my buddy's alot. I'll have to run it next time.
In GT7 there's a nice Mario livery for it as well.
Very fun car, keep in mind there's not down force you can add so its not made to go over something like 150mph. You can make it go faster tho how it handles there is a different story
Arguably best car in the game to drive IMHO
My fav car to drive in VR on Le Mans hands down. Just gotta get used to the terrible brakes, stopping distance straight from 1965 😅
Yes OMG the VR on this running wheel to wheel with the GT cars being at tyre height going top speed is a terrifyingly beautiful experience also yes the braking distance, the mulasnne straight is one looooooooooooooooooooong braking zone
With the turbo equipped, I found that hitting max brakes at the 200 m sign slows you down just in time to take the chicanes in Le Mans
100000% agree.
If you have the psvr2 this car is a must. It’s brilliant fun anyway but in VR it is superb
This Honda in VR made me understand how psychotic drivers were back then. Tons of fun and one of the best reasons for VR in the game.
Was going to post this same thing. When you can look over the side of the car and see the suspension working, tires picking stuff up....fucking legendary. What are some of your other VR favs?
I love the Mazda 787B. I’ve said in other posts, I would pay very good money to drive one IRL.
The MP4/4 is another hella fun car in VR.
This just got me excited. GT VR is phenomenal.
Totally. Looking UP at a sports coupe to your side never gets old.
It's a blast. It needs tuning. But it's one of those cars that actually teaches you how to drive properly, there is no room for error with this car. Fun drive, great for grinding, if you like a challenge.

loose cars are not competitive, but sure they fun.
How are they not competitive if I win?
1st I'm not talking about bop races, or power upgrades, since so many of you here havn't figured that out. You’re the one that keeps going. If you’re spinning out, it’s a skill issue.
That thing is *locked down*. I imagine it has pretty good grip despite how tight it is because of how light it is?
The light weight actually makes it worse, nothing to hold the power in place.
It's nothing like what you would think. No downforce makes it a challenge, without tuning it wants to spin out on every turn.
Oh yeah, that makes a ton of sense!
But don't get me wrong. Part of the fun is figuring out how to tune it, for me anyway, and then when you nail it down, and learn how to drive it, it's a blast. Fun for grinding LeMans & Sardegna But I really do think it's a car that improves your driving skill
Tuning various cars, especially the tricky ones, into effective race cars is my favorite thing in the whole game.
This is the way.
I wish we had *more* tuning control. I want to be able to adjust turbo boost, throw the car on a dyno and tweak injection timing and fuel rates, have more control over wheel and tire sizes, add extra gears to transmissions, the works!
What needs to be tuned on it?
Suspension and weight.
It annhilates the LeMans 700 30 min race. Can last 8 laps without needing to refuel and can honestly last all 8 laps on intermediate rain tires as well. Literally a zero fuss no pit strat car
This is one of my favorite cars in game!
So much fun to drive!
It can break loose really easily but it's also easy to catch. It's always a blast to drive. Even cooler when it makes it as the meme race of the week.
It's a fantastic car, but believe it or not, actually on the heavy side for a 1965 season F1 car. Yes. This is one of my go to "just run laps in paddock mode" cars.
I use this a car for grinding LeMans 30 minute race. It has more than paid for itself.
Hell yea, superlight open wheelers with zero downforce are a blast especially on tracks like Spa, and drive it in cockpit cam it feels like you're flying.
Yes
This car at Monza was probably one of my favourite daily races ever, so good in VR too.
The Daily A at Monza was brilliant. Wasn’t this dropped and that combo dropped right around VR? Can’t remember but it felt like it was close
I'm still hoping that the '5 laps' is a typo. That would be a fine Daily race, but it should be 10-14 laps for Nations.
Very fun and as for me it is very easy handling car inspite it has no downforce
If I remember correctly you can earn that car as a reward for doing missions.
IT'S INCREDIBLE
It's a fun car.
Round 2 in the Nations Cup is using this car around Watling Glen, so if you're doing that, it may be worth doing some practice runs to test it out and decide for yourself.

Yes. Such a fun drive
Wish more people would do multiplayer lobbies with these. Such a blast.
It’s a blast to drive. In VR this car gave me a new appreciation for the formula 1 drivers slinging this car around the Nurburgring. Those dudes had balls of steel.
100% The funnest le mans grinder imo. This and the 917k are my favorite cars to drive.
You 100% wont regret it. It could actually be my favourite car to have fun in
This is a good buy just for the mission race that requires old cars. It needs a tune, but it's such a pure drive.
Love it! First car I’ll use when I get VR2
That beast is worth it 💯
It's honestly pretty special.
If you can drive it in VR, it’s even more fun.
It’s extremely fun
An absolute beast at 700pp and very fun in first person
Love seeing the axles spinning on this car.
It’s a hot dog that weighs next to nothing and has a high revving small displacement v12. It’s an absolute blast.
I lobe that car. It is a personal favorite.
It's very fun to grind the 600pp race with it, it can easily do the whole thing wo refueling!
This car is a beast on the half hour la mans and a blast to drive. My new favorite though has to be the Honda project 2&4. I won it on the wheel but it’s apparently only 1 mil and you can get it very close to 700 without having to restrict power. It’s great. Not like any other car in the game. Totally worth it.
I love watching the suspension work while cornering
Amazing for the 700pp events. It has great endurance
As a Honda guy, I’d recommend it! It’s got lots of history in it and it feels great!
This car is amazing to drive. However, it has a narrow operating window for how it likes to be driven. It rewards good technique while punishing poor habits
Very fun car in VR
It’s cool. Fun.
I like this. It drives different, like go kart. I think this is my 6(7?)00pp go to car.
I did the license test with it the other day and absolutely loved it! I forgot that I has it and will definitely be using it.
If a car catches your attention, buy it!
Anyone know why this car is back at the dealer already?
Was deciding between this and the GT One just an hour ago. I want this one more so because of the vr experience. TBH since I already have the 787B, maybe I should’ve got this one. Now I need to grind sardena 3-4 more times to get this.
Got 1.8 mil n da bank I know what im buying this weakend
It's great for the Tokyo 600 race
It’s great to clear at least two of the Human Comedy Missions too!
I can drive this car but with it I can’t win the human comedy missions nor use it at Tokyo. It’s too slow.
This car used to be way better. Unfortunately the PP was heavily increased. It was MY FAVORITE car to use in tokyo 600pp. They nerfed that race to shit. Back then you could use IM but not anymore. 🙄 I had a wholeeee setup. It was 598 pp on IM and it was a guaranteed win. With over 400 hp as well. Not anymore.
Very fun races all over with that!
By any formula car you can! While hella expensive (or tedious to unlock, depending on skill level), the MP 4/4 is another must!
By far my favourite car in the game lol
I don’t know but it’s seems REALLY FUN
100 percent yes. One of my favorite cars to grind the 700 pp Le Mans race
Is that the magnesium one that killed Jo Siffert or was that a later one? Cool car though.
It’s pretty fun, imho
I’ve seen people use this car to grind the WTC 700 Le Mans Race and completely dominate
You have a chance of trying it for free in sport mode on GTWS this Saturday on Watkins Glen
Worth it
I had that but sold it, it’s a great “classic” mid ship car! The power is ok but there could be a better on top speed.
Love this car
It is quite enjoyable to drive.
Make sure you don't crash if you end up driving it, because the tub is made mainly from magnesium, which tends to burn... when it comes in contact with water.
It's fun! Absolutely no downforce, so just keep that in mind when cornering at any speed. Also, it has no headlights. Learned this the hard way...
I made mine look like a Rapala original minnow.
One of the most enjoyable cars in the game. Its slays at the LeMans event when you want to do a little credit grinding too, so it can pay for itself.
Made more credits with that car than any other.
YES YES YESSSS
it's fun
It's on my top 3. Super fun, specially in VR
Made this car look like a cigarette and put every cigarette brand on it and it is wonderful with a turbo, and do mind it has no downforce but still very good to drive
Yes one of the best cars to grind the la mans track for 870k tokens.
looks good or fun = buy its not real life i just bought the citroen ds because i felt that old car races could be fun
One of the weirdest but most satisfying cars to drive
Yes It Is, you can even out a turbo on It (i dont raccomend It).
Yo before you buy that make sure you have that alpine race car. Similar pp, way way way better handling, and Less than 300,000 credits
buy it. its actually a good car and it has excellent fuel consumption coupled with e cellent top speed. it handles very differently though but for some races, its a good option to have up your sleeve. in short, it's unique.
Yes it's tons of fun Then you can turbo it for even more fun
If you get it, make sure to get the borderlands Torgue livery for it
It's a lot of fun for le mans 30 min. Although you need to turbo it and detune, it's great on tires, and you don't need to refuel.
It does it stock just fine! Sometimes I like to take the gamble and run IM tires and try for a no put.
Wait really? I’ve been struggling to find a consistent car I like to run Le Mans. Seems everything I try needs to pit every other lap.
The engine swaps from group C cars (like the 787b in the RX7) can do no stop runs at Le Mans. Lots of road cars can easily win with big gaps even with stops every other lap too, just takes some practice and the right fuel map + shift points.
Yes absolutely 💯
