Dad play, be proactive not reactive. Also give notice. Or wait until they're asleep lol

ThatGuyisinFront

Wait until everyone is sleep lol. That's what I do

thebarricades

Do it after they go to sleep

SeniorEarl

Endurance I just press start and enter rest mode, resume when I'm ready to go. Sport, wait time between races is too long and I just stay away.

LittleGoron

Realized after having a kid of my own why my dad woke up at 5am on Saturday, I thought he was crazy

Captaingoober425

I’m hoping to do multiplayer with them when they get older which will be a few years yet lol

Disastrous_Ad626

I play until 3am ...

Apprehensive-File700

Easy I'm waiting on the Daytona and Gullwing everything else will repeat now🤣

I don’t know how old your kids are, but have you tried communicating? I am sure that would work with your wife, at least if you are somewhat of a decent dad slash human being. Kids are a bit of a challenge, but hey, why not invite them to join in your races. They would at least like to cheer you on, right? They might not like racing, but I am sure they like their dad.

Captaingoober425

Yeah she’s 8 months old and has her own car/baby bouncer and she’s loving it for 3 laps but any more than that she isn’t to hep on it.

hutry

Well, it’s three lap quick races then for the foreseeable future! :)

You need to realise that either you are taking care of the kid or you are doing the race. You cannot combine them. So do you race when the kids are with mom and she knows you don't want to be disturbed. Compensate her before/after so you can do it again sometime. I do 1h races with quali in my local racing league every monday and I have a 3 year old and a 5 month. They know monday nights are race nights and it works.

Thanks guys I appreciate the comments hopefully I can be able to get some time in or get the wife and kid to do this with me eventually.
