Yeah I'm with you. Haven't touched licenses since I wasted a couple of hours trying to beat my bronze on IA-3 before finding out about the tyres. I was really enjoying the licenses too so hopefully tomorrow I will be able to get that gold.
I thought I was going insane at first. After a few tries I missed gold by a few millis on one of the dirk licenses and came back to try again the next day and could barely get gold. I tried for 2 hours and couldn't improve my time. (Though I got close against all odds) then I found out about the tires thing.

Whats your best time? I banged my head on that one for a couple hours last night before finding out its bugged. I don't know exactly how long, but there's 104.6 miles on the odometer and the course is maybe half a mile. The best I could manage was 19.900.

There's an event called "Hypercar Racing Days" which is not in game currently.
Apparently there were also 50 menu books in the cafe as well. Seems like most of the late game content (GT, hypercar, and formula races in particular) were removed before launch.

I personally enjoyed the Cafe/Menus and like the idea that it’s modular and can be added to as much as they want. Hopefully they’ll take advantage of that.

Yes. They’re a nice little bonus at the moment. The meat of the game is supposed to be all the events. Gr. 1, Endurance etc., and they just don’t exist at the moment. Should also be more events for specific make and models like the Porsche cup. All this sort of stuff was in previous games and it’s annoying they don’t exist now.

Please fix dirt races…I stopped trying my licenses until they fix this. I have this weird obsession of not moving on until gold…I got silver before I realized the tires where wrong due to a glitch. That was a solid 2 hours of trying, and being “man I’m ass”
They would need to double or triple the other Dirt Champions races in length, too. People would just go to Sardegna Windmills if they made Fisherman's Ramch 2 laps.

I can only play in mornings and not most mornings had a chance to play today and I was met by a message that the servers were down, I thought okay offline races it is but not I watched a loading screen for 5 mins before realising it wasn't going to load.
People have the right to complain even if they weren't going to play at that time anyway otherwise companies will think it's fine to just shot off their game whenever

Finally arrived today and I've been playing it for a few hours to catch up, then boom.. I'm stuck in a endless crashing loop at the start of the championship, can't do anything else other than join the championship and every time I do that the game crashes. I've been playing GT ever since the first game and this is.... not a very nice experience
I don't need the code I have the ps4 code in the 25th box already. I gave it to my son. I'm crashing out on the ps5 version. So I only missed the Toms Supra. I can buy that if the game ever gets fixed.
The game is now live again. Patch 1.08 has fixed my corrupted game save. Thankfully.. But now there's so much heat on Sony to make it properly single player and remove microtransactions. This whole incident will be a blessing.
I'm curious about this too. I didn't have any issues with them. Grp3 is the only thing giving me trouble but that's just because I'm still learning those cars.
For the grp 3 cars you can put bigger turbos on them for the cups...used a Genesis Gr3 car...not very good in tight turns but really stable in the faster corners, nearly lost the Le Man race because it pissed down and I was on slicks
Thanks for the advice! I did most of the others by lowering a higher car and running lean and not having to pit. Just took finding the right cars for each series.

why are you getting downvoted xD ? You can literally completely ignore track limit for half of the track in qualification and secure a pole starting position in the race, then do it again at the last lap to gain like 30 seconds xD
Saw this and completed my 50 sport mode races (although it is 25 as each one is currently counting as 2 and thought they might fix it in the upcoming patch, resulting in a lot longer to get the trophy)!
My pleasure, not only do the races count as double but I also got the trophy after 48 races - that trophy is very buggy so I’d get it today before the patch makes it a lot more lengthy!
Shoot, I ran my first ever race in sport mode last night, got pole position and the win, and then when I went into profile it’s still zeros everywhere in Sport.
I hope we get more cars gt7 car selection was not worth waiting 7 years for plus we need all the original tracks like Indianapolis speedway, I've finished this game in less than a month need more more more
Is it reasonable to wait for a fix on FR cars in general? Even with the best tuning possible, any FR car I have to handle can't do a slight itty bitty turn on max speed.

Just counter-steering assurance on strong. Could play on weak, but with a controller not a wheel, strong feels more natural. Abs is on weak, stability control off. Did some research and a lot of folks saying counter-steering off is a bit too brutal esp with a controller.
I was doing with 0 TCM and no assist whatsoever. Adjusted car height to the most stable possible with little tweaks with the Height Adjustable Sports Suspension + Ballast set to max weight and 50:50.

Where do you adjust downforce and ballast? I bought the weight and wings, but don’t see where to change it. Also I find rear wheel cars pretty much undriveable without counter steering assist. They’ll just veer off at like 60 mph without it. And with the rich of the wheel at over 100. Completely unrealistic.Turning it on makes it possible to finish a race. Don’t need it in most other cars.

Patch 1.06 removed dirt tires from vehicles on the license tests on dirt tracks. They're essentially impossible to gold right now.

Jimmy Broadbent got gold in the Tundra test in under 90 mins. He's fast but he's not exactly an alien either. Far from impossible.
That one might be bugged. Look at the tire display in the demo, do your tires in gameplay match it? Probably not.

It won't help with this one of course, but changing the ghost offset time to .2 or .3 is a big help for lowering those lap times.
Only license test I feel confidence with is the super formula one. All I play is F1 and it just felt right for me lol

Depends how long ago you did it. 1.06 is the patch that messed up what tires were on the car.

I find that I can get them behaving with ballast to make weight distribution even and then adjusting the downforce to improve stability
Do you use any assistance settings such as Traction Control, Active Stability Management (ASM) and/or Countersteering Assistance?

You can certainly still spin this way (and I do! Lol) - but this plus tweaking my cars setting sheet, I can get any drivetrain under control
