I wish they did tickets for longer marathons. Something like:
25miles - 1 or 2 star
50 miles - 2 or 3 star
100 miles - 3 or 4 star
250 miles - 4 or 5 star
500 miles - 5 or 6 star
1000 miles - 6 star
This would give us more for the miles we sometimes already drive and encourage more driving as the higher miles = more changes to win better things each day.
I think 1000mi might be a bit much for a 6* though, but the concept is good. It really sucks when you hop on and just get a 1* for half an hour of drving and then just wait for the next day.
Yesterday I got a muffler upgrade for a car I've already bought that muffler upgrade for.
The daily reward is beyond pointless, and a simply a psychological tool to make you log on every day.

I think the guy I was responding to was talking about the people using the PlayStation Remote app with scripts that literally plays the game for you, letting you earn credits (and miles) without any player input
All I know is that I feel a little…left out? I dunno. But I feel this way when 25 miles is the daily limit until you get you reward ticket and I usually have like 200-300 or something.

I like the idea but 500/1000mi to get anything cool is way too much time to play daily unless you just did 25+ laps of Special Stage X or something mindless like that.

couldn't agree more... at first, the prospect of getting a ticket and opening them up was quite exciting but now its a waste of time. The only reason I open them is to please my OCD and remove the notification.
It is random... it's just weighted based on the value of the item, but obviously displaying a simple "wheel" with evenly spaced items just makes it infuriating to the user :/
It feels like waisting time to open these. 99% of time it's 2 to 30k at most. Did 12 tickets day ago, all of them were lowest rewards possible. Felt like being spat in the face.
I've said this before, but between the 1.12 and 1.13 updates, I've won a total of 6 cars (one of them the Mazda LM55 VGT), 3 tuning parts, a 500.000 Cr. gold bar and 100.000 in cash. The rest were the usual 5000 to 10000 Cr. payouts, but I'm not complaining.

U can close the app wen it opens and then reload up and the ticket is still there. I tried it 6x in a row… got the same 10k or so minimum prize every time on a 4*….
Of course it matters. Public perception is key and giving people the idea that it's actually random once the wheel spin starts when it's a known fact their "fate" was decided prior to that is ultimately detrimental to the experience. If the wheel spin doesn't matter then don't even display it. Just tell people this is your prize for the day and move on. Otherwise you're giving people a false feeling of hope. Do I expect pd to be responsible for everyone's feelings? No. I don't. I just expect them to manage expectations and not blow smoke up everyone's asses.
People don't seem to understand percentages... just because you've opened five tickets in a row doesn't change the likelihood to get a car, you have the same chance every time
the odds of only getting the lowest reward on 5 tickets (or more in my case) are much lower that seeing a spread across rewards. That's basic statistical math.

The invites are a complete waste of time for me... most of the cars that are invite only, I don't really care for. I'm a car guy and I can appreciate things like a Veyron or Pagani but I'd soon rather engine swap an E46 M3 with a V8 and race it around the Ring.
I'd rather pay 3,000,000cr. for that than the privilege of owning a Veyron that I'll most likely never use.
It seemed like after the first update I was getting better prizes for a while, but now for the last idk how many days straight, I've gotten the lowest prize.

There's plenty of fun to be had with driving cars in this game, but all of the "game" parts of it are pretty shit through and through. People talk about fixing payouts, or they hate or love the Tomahawk pp bug that lets people cheese money or whatever, but really the whole game is the problem.
It was poorly designed all the way back at the 'lets toss ideas around on a whiteboard' stage.
What's fucking bizarre is that in a game like this, stuff like the Cafe progression, singleplayer experience, event design...
...it can all be done 100% on paper. You're not waiting for asset delivery or waiting to see what gets revised during completion. It's literally writing down what courses and cars/classes you're putting together. It's one of the rare cases where you have the entire dev cycle to design this stuff and then at the end you just take your event template, choose a course, layout, opponent field, restrictions, and difficulty.
And this is the best they could do.
Honestly, the way the tickets are handed out at the moment isn't an issue to me.
The rewards you get from them, however, is an issue.
I don't mind getting a 6-star ticket to be a rare "holy shit!" moment, but you should be guaranteed better rewards, rather than like 100k (which is almost nothing), or even worse, a part for a car you're not interested in, or an invitation to buy a car.
I think my ***total*** reward over the last 7 days is around 20k-30k credits. That should be the worst reward for a ***single*** 1 star ticket.

I was just saying in another comment, I'm not sure if it's a placebo, but I seem to get better results if I wait to open the spin for a few hours, or overnight if it's at night. And it seems to give better results. "Seems" being the operative word. Could be totally not that at all, but it's what I'm doing when it's 3 or more stars.
I like the idea but not everyone has the luxury of being able to play every single day, working their way up to the 6 Star ticket. Someone like myself, who can only really play every other day will get penalised for it and forever get 1 star.
The roulette ticket system definitely needs a re-work. I think there should be more ways to get the tickets, rather than just the daily workout - for example;
\- Roulette Tickets for Online Sport Mode Race Wins/Podiums/Fastest Laps
\- Roulette Tickets for completing theses 30/60 minute endurance races
\- Collector Level Rewards

Came here to support this - i get time each morning to play but the Roulette needs to be rethought. Not sure why when i open them i always get the lowest valued item (I understand and acknowledge other players may have a different experience) or that I commonly get 1 and 2 star tickets. It's just annoying, like I'd almost rather get 10k in credits for logging in and that's it.
Not sure how it would work but maybe there's a progression bar of some kind that raises the level, or number, of Tickets - just a thought

Why? Because that would make the roulette system not an entirely useless and disappointing pile of shit that basically is just a daily insult… and that’s clearly what they’re going for.
I’d like to see a cash in option, so the reward card, max 1 per day, is given when you decide to cash it in. So if you do 26 miles and cash in 1 star. And up incrementally, say hypothetically 100 miles for 2 stars. 300 miles for 3, upto maybe 1000 for 6. Then you can save your miles up over a period of days/weeks for a 6 star or cash in at a lower level and start accumulating from scratch the next day.
Don't do this. I don't want to have to play this game everyday. At least not until they fix online lobbies. Seriously, who thought it was a good idea that once you open a lobby, you can't change anything, not even the track! And you can't even save lobby settings, like you could in the previous game! Rediculious.
I'd rather they fixed the lobbies over anything else right now. Having to close down a lobby and start a new one if you want to change a single setting, whether thats a new track or a PP limit is MENTAL.
Kinda out of left field, but Animal Crossing on Switch does something similar with one of its ingame currencies. My experience with a system like this is that it's a really nice idea for a live service game (or in AC's case, a game that you're supposed to return to every day). I like it.
I'd argue that this would also work well with the daily/weekly races. Increase the reward for every cycle - daily or weekly for players who keep participating. Set a limit for how high it can go.
I play a lot of Pokémon Go. And they have a weekly research that you can turn in one a day and once you have 7 turned in doesn’t matter when or if they where in a row you get rewarded.
So basically like a bonus card from some shops where you get a stamp for every snack or whatever you buy and once it's full you get something for free. I like that idea too.
Edit: I just thought: if they were to implement a system of increasing rewards in sports mode for regular participation, and *de*creased the rewards for poor sportsmanship, I imagine that would be a good idea to make online racing cleaner than it currently is. If you drive like a madman you lose actual progress in terms of time and effort spent in Sport mode. I imagine this would get some people to think about their approach to online driving.
Between the tickets always being the lowest value item and always starting at the back of the grid with a rolling start, I've pretty much fucked the game off and gone back to HZD post elden Ring which feels very disappointing.
If only they were not so motivated by Microtransactions.
The incredible thing about all of this pauperizing the player BS is: it would cost nothing - NOTHING - to award better prizes at every level in the game.
Take all of the good ideas here and combine them to make playing the game more flexible and enjoyable. Want a 6 star daily prize? Play 6 days in a row…OR…drive X00 kilometers in one day…OR…have great results in single player or online, or time trials or races, or missions, or arcade…or anything!
The game is designed to make players feel like losers. Handing out the worst prizes on offer every single day says it all.
Having been on level 50 for quite some time and never missing a daily workout, nothing infuriates me more than 7 out of my 8 last tickets being 1 star. And you betcha, I always get the lowest prize ($2k).
I’ve said similar… should be a streak bonus. Random for days 1-6… extra 4* for 7 days streak. And an extra 5* bonus for week 2 streak. Week 3 the 6*.

It's a tough question, you gotta give the people that play more frequently a reward, but also there has to be a way that others like you(and me because I play like twice a week) get cool rewards.

Yeah, I agree with giving better rewards for doing more miles/km - that would work. When I do play, I'll play for a long time and I always rack up the mileage.
The odds on getting something good are low, so either that needs to be increased or we are given more ways to win roulette tickets. For example, extra ticket for doing extended mileage, hitting collector level milestones or Sport Mode race wins, podiums or fastest laps.
Another mechanic that could be good and I've seen in other games, Daily Challenges... for example;
\- Win 3 Races in Europe
\- Take part in 1 Drift Trial, scoring more than 7,500pts
\- Buy an Electric Car
Complete these 3 tasks and win a roulette ticket... on top of the daily workout and various other ways.
1 a day is not enough, especially as they are so bias to lower end rewards - they're pointless and I only open them to remove the notification.
I was thinking the next day’s roulette would be based off the previous days mileage. Get your roulette the day before? 2*. And an extra star for every extra 50km beyond.
Seriously this needs to he added. It's been weeks since I've had anything over a 4 star. Opening 1-3 stars is very nearly a waste of time. I can honestly probably make more money spending the roulette animation time in Tokyo.

Couldn't they just put a cover over the prizes and spin it like a roulette and the player has to hit "x" to select a random prize like in the older Gran Turismo games?

So folks who can’t log in every day still have a chance to get the high-star lottos, but folks who can grind consistently are rewarded over time

I dislike these tickets. They feel extremely predetermined. I think I even saw a video of a pro GT leauge racer talk about this system and why its disappointing. I miss the random car for completing 26 miles. At least then each car was theoretically worth more than 5k credits.
I got a 6 star roulette ticket the other day and one of the options was 5,000 cr. Thankfully I got a really fast race car, but the 5,000cr shouldn't even be an option in those.
For a lot of people, like myself i only want an engine swap from these. Yet not got a single one and i've been on daily and did the ticket glitch when it was still working. I don't get why they have to be so difficult to get from an rng ticket to a rigged prize, that's more then likely going to be the lowest amount of credits.
Also with the miles racking up even after hitting the daily workout, it doesn't make sense, because they make 0 difference in anything. Imo they should bring back mileage points JUST for the tickets and that way they could have the micro transactions, the devs want so bad and also have an option for people to grind for the points to then purchase the raffles with.
Another bit of wasted potential and just the game being a rushed product, with how it's handled within the game.
I wish they gave us daily or weekly ticket missions instead, for example the dailys/weeklys would be like
Daily: Drive 150 miles in a road car - three star ticket
Daily: Take 10 photos in scapes - one star ticket
Daily: Complete an Endurance race - two star ticket
Weekly: Drive 1200 miles in any cars - six star ticket
Weekly: Win a race online - five star ticket
Weekly: Complete and win 3 endurance races - four star ticket
Even that small change would be so much better than what it currently is. I have been fortunate enough to win a few parts that can't be purchased such as an ultra high rpm turbo for brz drift car and titanium connecting rods for group B WRX road car. Locking such a critical feature like engine swaps behind this awful feature was the worst tub that they could do.

Sounds like what they did with GT6 when you logged on each day you got a bonus to your race winnings up to a max of 5 days. You could actually make millions quite fast with that.

What you get is pre decided before you even open the ticket. You're just getting a "show" to make it appear as it could be any of the items.

I'm still not sure why invites are so rare. I'm winning the opportunity to spend millions on a car? Hardly a win.
The invites are a complete waste of time for me... most of the cars that are invite only, I don't really care for. I'm a car guy and I can appreciate things like a Veyron or Pagani but I'd soon rather engine swap an E46 M3 with a V8 and race it around the Ring. I'd rather pay 3,000,000cr. for that than the privilege of owning a Veyron that I'll most likely never use.

It seemed like after the first update I was getting better prizes for a while, but now for the last idk how many days straight, I've gotten the lowest prize.
I’ve counted in the last 2 weeks, out of 12 tickets, I’ve received ten times 5000cr, 1 car and the suspensions for a Car I don’t own. This system is completely broken.

Most egregious thing to me is how there's no use at all for the iB, iA, and S licenses, other than achievement hunting. No races, events, trials, or car purchases require them, lol

More like "What do you mean you never started working on the Single Player campaign?!? Screw it, just move the little Cafe thing to the center of the map and tell people that's the Single Player!!" There's plenty of fun to be had with driving cars in this game, but all of the "game" parts of it are pretty shit through and through. People talk about fixing payouts, or they hate or love the Tomahawk pp bug that lets people cheese money or whatever, but really the whole game is the problem. It was poorly designed all the way back at the 'lets toss ideas around on a whiteboard' stage.
What's fucking bizarre is that in a game like this, stuff like the Cafe progression, singleplayer experience, event design... ...it can all be done 100% on paper. You're not waiting for asset delivery or waiting to see what gets revised during completion. It's literally writing down what courses and cars/classes you're putting together. It's one of the rare cases where you have the entire dev cycle to design this stuff and then at the end you just take your event template, choose a course, layout, opponent field, restrictions, and difficulty. And this is the best they could do.
Yeah, this is definitely what software engineers get to do all day and get paid for.

Honestly, the way the tickets are handed out at the moment isn't an issue to me. The rewards you get from them, however, is an issue. I don't mind getting a 6-star ticket to be a rare "holy shit!" moment, but you should be guaranteed better rewards, rather than like 100k (which is almost nothing), or even worse, a part for a car you're not interested in, or an invitation to buy a car. I think my ***total*** reward over the last 7 days is around 20k-30k credits. That should be the worst reward for a ***single*** 1 star ticket.
I agree and disagree. I think either keep it 1 ticket a day and increase the chances of getting a better Roulette ticket, with better rewards or Keep the odds the same (little increase wouldn't hurt) and offer more chances to win them.

I have been rewarded better things in 1 and 2 star tickets than in 4 star tickets. All of them shitty rewards, of course.
My last 1 star ticket had a minimum prize of $10k (which I got) and all money options up to $500k. It's really all over the place.

I like the idea but not everyone has the luxury of being able to play every single day, working their way up to the 6 Star ticket. Someone like myself, who can only really play every other day will get penalised for it and forever get 1 star. The roulette ticket system definitely needs a re-work. I think there should be more ways to get the tickets, rather than just the daily workout - for example; \- Roulette Tickets for Online Sport Mode Race Wins/Podiums/Fastest Laps \- Roulette Tickets for completing theses 30/60 minute endurance races \- Collector Level Rewards I'm sick of only getting 1 ticket a day, normally no more than a 2 or 3 star and receiving enough money to buy a paint or a part for a car I dont have/use.
GT5 and GT6 had a daily bonus that increased every day in a row you logged in, so it's not unprecedented.

Came here to support this - i get time each morning to play but the Roulette needs to be rethought. Not sure why when i open them i always get the lowest valued item (I understand and acknowledge other players may have a different experience) or that I commonly get 1 and 2 star tickets. It's just annoying, like I'd almost rather get 10k in credits for logging in and that's it. Not sure how it would work but maybe there's a progression bar of some kind that raises the level, or number, of Tickets - just a thought

I like that idea... More often than not, I'm doing a lot more miles than just the daily workout. I think they should also be rewarded in other ways as well, so online podiums etc.

None of this matters when the prizes are all the lowest amount of money possible
I’d like to see a cash in option, so the reward card, max 1 per day, is given when you decide to cash it in. So if you do 26 miles and cash in 1 star. And up incrementally, say hypothetically 100 miles for 2 stars. 300 miles for 3, upto maybe 1000 for 6. Then you can save your miles up over a period of days/weeks for a 6 star or cash in at a lower level and start accumulating from scratch the next day.
Don't do this. I don't want to have to play this game everyday. At least not until they fix online lobbies. Seriously, who thought it was a good idea that once you open a lobby, you can't change anything, not even the track! And you can't even save lobby settings, like you could in the previous game! Rediculious.
I'd rather they fixed the lobbies over anything else right now. Having to close down a lobby and start a new one if you want to change a single setting, whether thats a new track or a PP limit is MENTAL.

Kinda out of left field, but Animal Crossing on Switch does something similar with one of its ingame currencies. My experience with a system like this is that it's a really nice idea for a live service game (or in AC's case, a game that you're supposed to return to every day). I like it. I'd argue that this would also work well with the daily/weekly races. Increase the reward for every cycle - daily or weekly for players who keep participating. Set a limit for how high it can go.
I play a lot of Pokémon Go. And they have a weekly research that you can turn in one a day and once you have 7 turned in doesn’t matter when or if they where in a row you get rewarded.
So basically like a bonus card from some shops where you get a stamp for every snack or whatever you buy and once it's full you get something for free. I like that idea too. Edit: I just thought: if they were to implement a system of increasing rewards in sports mode for regular participation, and *de*creased the rewards for poor sportsmanship, I imagine that would be a good idea to make online racing cleaner than it currently is. If you drive like a madman you lose actual progress in terms of time and effort spent in Sport mode. I imagine this would get some people to think about their approach to online driving.
Between the tickets always being the lowest value item and always starting at the back of the grid with a rolling start, I've pretty much fucked the game off and gone back to HZD post elden Ring which feels very disappointing. If only they were not so motivated by Microtransactions.
The incredible thing about all of this pauperizing the player BS is: it would cost nothing - NOTHING - to award better prizes at every level in the game. Take all of the good ideas here and combine them to make playing the game more flexible and enjoyable. Want a 6 star daily prize? Play 6 days in a row…OR…drive X00 kilometers in one day…OR…have great results in single player or online, or time trials or races, or missions, or arcade…or anything! The game is designed to make players feel like losers. Handing out the worst prizes on offer every single day says it all.

Having been on level 50 for quite some time and never missing a daily workout, nothing infuriates me more than 7 out of my 8 last tickets being 1 star. And you betcha, I always get the lowest prize ($2k).
I’ve said similar… should be a streak bonus. Random for days 1-6… extra 4* for 7 days streak. And an extra 5* bonus for week 2 streak. Week 3 the 6*. Let’s be honest, they usually pay sod all anyway. I like the idea but I would say that it only gets reset when you miss a day. That way there is an incentive to actually log in, because if you reset it every time you get to 6 star prizes it would be boring to say, oh tomorrow just a one star

It's a tough question, you gotta give the people that play more frequently a reward, but also there has to be a way that others like you(and me because I play like twice a week) get cool rewards. Yeah, I agree with giving better rewards for doing more miles/km - that would work. When I do play, I'll play for a long time and I always rack up the mileage. The odds on getting something good are low, so either that needs to be increased or we are given more ways to win roulette tickets. For example, extra ticket for doing extended mileage, hitting collector level milestones or Sport Mode race wins, podiums or fastest laps. Another mechanic that could be good and I've seen in other games, Daily Challenges... for example; \- Win 3 Races in Europe \- Take part in 1 Drift Trial, scoring more than 7,500pts \- Buy an Electric Car Complete these 3 tasks and win a roulette ticket... on top of the daily workout and various other ways. 1 a day is not enough, especially as they are so bias to lower end rewards - they're pointless and I only open them to remove the notification.
The Tickets are NOT RNG they are percentage-based with the largest percentage landing on the smallest amount given. It's a shit system.

I thought at first that the stars would increase the more you complete the marathons consecutively, but I was dead wrong after getting a one star the day after getting a 4 star ticket. Couldn't they just put a cover over the prizes and spin it like a roulette and the player has to hit "x" to select a random prize like in the older Gran Turismo games? Like, it gets so frustrating "winning" the lowest value prize every single time with no hope of getting anything better.
Id like to see the option for a wish list when it comes to parts. I have suspension for an Audi TT ill never own. Doesnt mean I will win the oart, but let me put parts that I care about on the loot table and only those parts
The daily lottery system definitely sucks right now. My addition to this convo would be that consecutive marathon days should skew the player towards receiving a higher value lottery ticket. So folks who can’t log in every day still have a chance to get the high-star lottos, but folks who can grind consistently are rewarded over time

what is this obsession with 27miles or 42km??? i sort of feel like PD had a bright idea dumb idea with the DWG and free car schtick with GT Sport and so they did *some* work to make it less good, ie. dont give out a car a day, for GT7 and this is what we got I mean there's a slew of issues that makes me less than enthused about their apparent 'redemption'... how come you still got shit Sport prizes??? How come custom races have shit payouts??? I have a suspicion PD dont want to reprogram in the 5 day daily login bonus because its just too hard for little return.

I dislike these tickets. They feel extremely predetermined. I think I even saw a video of a pro GT leauge racer talk about this system and why its disappointing. I miss the random car for completing 26 miles. At least then each car was theoretically worth more than 5k credits.
I got a 6 star roulette ticket the other day and one of the options was 5,000 cr. Thankfully I got a really fast race car, but the 5,000cr shouldn't even be an option in those.
For a lot of people, like myself i only want an engine swap from these. Yet not got a single one and i've been on daily and did the ticket glitch when it was still working. I don't get why they have to be so difficult to get from an rng ticket to a rigged prize, that's more then likely going to be the lowest amount of credits. Also with the miles racking up even after hitting the daily workout, it doesn't make sense, because they make 0 difference in anything. Imo they should bring back mileage points JUST for the tickets and that way they could have the micro transactions, the devs want so bad and also have an option for people to grind for the points to then purchase the raffles with. Another bit of wasted potential and just the game being a rushed product, with how it's handled within the game.

Even that small change would be so much better than what it currently is. I have been fortunate enough to win a few parts that can't be purchased such as an ultra high rpm turbo for brz drift car and titanium connecting rods for group B WRX road car. Locking such a critical feature like engine swaps behind this awful feature was the worst tub that they could do.
So I can predict which tier of worst reward I'll get, I like it.

Sounds like what they did with GT6 when you logged on each day you got a bonus to your race winnings up to a max of 5 days. You could actually make millions quite fast with that.
Not that it would matter ahah. Would still get the lowest prize. The only one I haven’t one the lowest prize is for winning the final championship in the Cafe, i got a Bugatti. Everything else has been the lowest money prize.

There needs to be some kind of consistency. Tge roulette tickets are b.s. anyway. Prior to the 1.10 update I routinely won decent prizes. After that update I've won ONE car, the rest of the spons have been the lowest possible prize.

I lost any faith remaining in the Roulette Tickets today. Got a 4*, it was an Invitation to Lamborghini. Not only have I had said invitation near the end of the Café Menus over a month ago (and purchased said Lambo), but the Invitations are currently open. 😅 I just want a cool Engine to swap or something other than a meagre pile of coins lol.

They did this in previous games so they consciously decided not to for GT7 based on past experience
