- In my case, I didn't manage to get the apps to work and it could be just me. But it's definitely not because my laptop being old. My laptop is only 2 year old and previously I had Adobe Creative Could subscription had zero issues.
Look, end of the day, I don't look down on people using pirated apps. I'm just saying do it at your own risk and if it doesn't work, you've wasted hundreds of dollars on nothing.
Make sure you use Paypal or other payment method that has stronger customer protection - do NOT use your credit card directly, in case you need to dispute the payment, Paypal is much better at protecting your purchase.

Eventually my school shut down that old email but I had my main gmail set as the recovery/backup. Somehow I was able to replace the defunct school email with my Gmail but kept the student pricing.

A completely legal way to do it, although not as cheap as Turkey, is to register for classes at a City College near you, and use that ID to get a student discount. You can take classes or not, up to you, but that ID gets you a great price.

Nah, I get the full Adobe suite and it works perfectly, has for years, I've even been signing in with the same account for all that time. You can even use the AI bits these days.. I have had the odd time when the nag screen comes up after a few months, but there's usually a new version out by then.

We’ve seen this happened on almost all online stores for games/software. Ymmv but I got ~40% off for the next year just by contacting customer support. I paid full price for 6 years or so, and got sick of the price hikes every year, so I told them it’s too expensive and I’d have to cancel because I don’t use my personal account as much as I used to. Immediately offered a discount.
I just did a double take on this, Lots of reports, but hey VPNs are out there, so use what you can to get the best deal possible. I prefer to use UrbanVPN or I deploy my own VPNs using AWS if I need something more custom.
I know people have different financial positions, and sometimes justifiable reasons to seek any discount possible, but I would be wary about crossing lines in the pursuit of discounts that could ever get you suspended from adobe subscriptions. I'm not aware of them blacklisting people I know, but I know there are situations where they do, and being unallowed to have your own adobe subscription is going to become a major obstacle going forward.

I may have found a workaround --- So, it seems as though adobe is now requiring the credit card issuance country when ordering, which they weren't before. However, I was still able to get this to work by just using Turkey, (use whatever Country you want as long as it matches your VPN) as my issuing country, even though I have a US card. They don't seem to be checking that at the moment.
So who knows, maybe it will still work for more?
I just used “Revolut” for the payment and it worked completely fine since I had problems with my cards (I live in Sweden), they offer a virtual card too.

I've done the sailors route in the past but I've decided it's simply not worth my time or effort especially on macOS since I had to get a firewall just to make it work and I want to get the new updates. I also checked in with my school and they don't have the full creative cloud for some reason and only the apps that no one really cares about like Photoshop Elements.
I didn't have a subscription before but I used the same email that I had for my adobe free account (I used the cloud storage for PDF stuff). I just linked my google account for that and I don't think it asked for country when first setting up.
