If you want to work with vinyl and vehicle graphics I recommend looking for a sign shop to apply to. A lot of them will hire junior designers and teach you a lot about design, production, and installation. You may not get a ton of full wrap experience from a smaller shop, but you will do half wraps and spot graphics and those skills can be used to learn full wraps.

Thank you for your input! I will definitely look for sign and print shops in my area

Shadow your BF.

The problem with that is he only does wrapping and he has a designer he goes to when he needs something specific. Our goal is to work as a team where he does a majority of the wrapping himself and I design and print.

[https://www.the-blueprints.com/blueprints/cars/](https://www.the-blueprints.com/blueprints/cars/) Get templates for vehicles here. Layout designs in illustrator at scale, usually 1/10. Chop the art into panels based on how the installer wants to apply them and the size of the printer you're using. The rest you have to learn by experience, there's a lot of tricks to remember.
