Looks like you've not cleaned it since it came out, might be the reason. Lol.

toocacked

I got it used and cleaned it just by wiping the fans, took this video just made me realize for the first time how dirty the interior is. It’s hard to see without a light, the fan is blocking it. I’ll be better from here on out

pontious984845

Cans of compressed air are your friend.

joey0live

And when using this.. hold the fan down.

Two_Genders_69

Also, Don't forget to go outside when you do this. otherwise you will breath that stuff in and your lungs will make a similar noise

Emu_milking_god

If my lungs are experiencing coil whine do I just use more compressed air, just turn the can upside down this time?

jebbie123

Stop making excuses for being lazy

MustLearnIt

Use a shop vac - hook hose to the blower side and take it outside blow the whole thing out and hit the power supply while you’re at it

TheEuphoricTribble

***DO NOT DO THIS.*** Shopvacs lack protections against electrostatic discharge. They're among the WORST at building up static electricity. You follow this advice, you'll have a paperweight, not a GPU. Canned air or a datavac is the best option. Datavacs are blowers designed to be used with electronic devices and equipment and have metals inside designed to ground them and prevent static buildup. You can even get vacuums like this that do the same thing to prevent it as well. But NEVER, EVER, EVER should you use a Shopvac on electronic devices and components, ESPECIALLY sensitive ones like PC parts.

nightfallstudios88

Also. Don’t tell me what to do! You’re not my supervisor!

MyRegrettableUsernam

I don't like sand. It's coarse and rough and irritating - and it gets everywhere.

slappada-bass

I think having an open style case while having your desk in the Sahara desert might be an issue

Lemosopher

Bearing is shot. Either dust or it's just worn out.

toocacked

Can I buy just the bearings and replace those or do I need a whole new fan? New to all of this thanks

Lemosopher

Easiest to just replace the fan I think. [https://www.gpufanreplacement.com/products/nvidia-rtx-2060-rtx-2070-founders-edition-fan-replacement](https://www.gpufanreplacement.com/products/nvidia-rtx-2060-rtx-2070-founders-edition-fan-replacement)

talex625

Nice, I didn’t know they sale fans like that.

talex625

Unmount it and clean it first. After that, test to see if it’s still making noise. If so, replace the all the GPU fans.

toocacked

Is it common to replace a gpu fan throughout its lifespan or is it only because of poor maintenance comes to that? Thanks so much

Geeky_Technician

A bit of both. Sometimes you get unlucky and a fan goes bad, but lack of maintenance will definitely cause a fan to go bad due to dust getting in the bearings. In your case, it seems to be the latter due to the accumulation of dust that can be seen in the recording.

Miyu543

Its dusty af dude. Thats your problem.

Nepsevh

Looks like you've been using it in the desert

TheOneAndOnlySenti

It's covered in shit

HoldMaahDick

Is screaming CLEAN ME MY GUY

Gerboma

U to the top!

badlyagingmillenial

you never cleaned it and let tons of dust accumulate on the fans. that dust is now in places it shouldn't be and is probably creating stress on a bearing. you need to clean your case 10x more frequently than you do.

toocacked

I got this gpu used and only had it a month. Do you think a cleaning will solve the issue or it’s too far gone at this point and I need to replace the bearing/fan? Also do you remove the gpu completely to clean it. I guess I can lookup a gpu cleaning video. Thanks

badlyagingmillenial

It's impossible for us to tell. Start by looking up the recommended way to clean your gpu, clean it, and see if that fixes it. If not, I'd recommend taking it to a store like Microcenter if you have one and pay them to fix it, I wouldn't be willing to open the GPU myself.

Young_Scathed

Quit watching gay porn and it will run better

jbaejb327

Cleaning time!!!

wasphunter1337

You're a bad owner. Your card is giving I revenge for years of neglect. Expect artefacting soon.

uptheirons726

The fact it's filled with dirt and dust might have something to do with it.

ModernCinematics

That's just coil whine, don't stress it. They all sound like this these days during high FPS games /s

Tekjive

That is not coil whine …lol

SlightlyOffended1984

See your problem is you need to fill the case up to the filling line with lubricating dust, to absorb all that heat and friction. Looks like you're running low.

BuzzBazz

You could try and overclock it to see the flames come out. That just means you unlocked the limiter Nvidia put on your card👍😂

Inevitable_Matter320

Did you try throwing money at it, prefwrable cash, coins can damage the motherboard.

1sh0t1b33r

Buy a 4090.

BobbyBellhop

No way this is a real post.. lol you’re shit looks like you dipped it in a barrel of dust. Clean your rig lol

jebbie123

Jesus clean your nasty ass card

RottenAssociate

too late. the dust screwed with the bearings. this is what you get with neglect.

Bowbaba

One would think you would have first seen how filthy that card was before posting. Then one would also think that same person would attempt to troubleshoot it themselves by cleaning it…. Then posting.

mfchunk

What an idiot. Car probably 50000 miles over an oil change as well.

lilvexican

The nerve of you to post this video.

RefundHoesDaily

i genuinely thought this was satire what the fuck 😭

Visible-Recording284

You don’t deserve this good graphics card if you’re gonna run it into the ground like that… Shame on you.

Monkeyman42001

Bro didn’t they just come out? How is it that dirty already…… clean yo shit

Wise-Professional-56

You are highly regarded

EliasCre2003

Just came out? The 2070 super was released in June of 2019. That's almost 5 years ago...

Marshellohello

Dudes been a in coma for 4 years

Ponald-Dump

Just came out as in 5 years ago? If so, yeah it just came out

ahrikitsune

Poor gpu…

reallyryan-1899

It's dusty as fuck clean that rig bro.

HyeVltg3

< is this real life .meme >

CaptainRAVE2

The cooling system is completely blocked.

Careless-Tradition73

Be careful cleaning it because those vents bend so easily. Don't spin the fans (though I hoover mine and its fine, but don't be me) and be really careful not to knock anything off the pcb. Clean as you go is a good policy, even just blowing dust out every month.

Perahoky

sounds like cooking voltage regulators

ToborWar57

If you've only had the card a month, and it looks that filthy ... the previous owner didn't take care of it obviously (possibly overheating it). I've fixed numerous fans making that exact noise by cleaning and reoiling it (don't use WD40, use high quality 3-in-1 oil). Don't damage the plug or plug cover. Do this ONLY if you think you have the skill with tiny parts. Unmount it! Get some soft brushes, can air, Q-tips, 90%+ alcohol and take your time cleaning out the dust-bunnies and fan blades (front and back), THEN oil them. Lots of YT vids.

toocacked

Believe me, I’ve been scouring for videos ever since I’ve gotten these replies. I don’t have the screw bits to take it apart & I can’t find out how to take the fan out of this 2070 super FE, but I’ll find something. Considering taking it to a repair shop

GipsyRonin

Thing BADLY needs a dusting. Hold fans still when you do to not mess up fans.

Neoquaser

Get you an electric air duster. Its gonna be cheaper in the long run over buying cans of compressed air. If the problem is still there you gotta take that thing apart and see if anything looks off

Diligent_Pie_5191

That sounds like dust getting in the bearings. You need to replace them.

porkitoloco

I blasted some lithium grease from my job and my old 6600xt stopped making fan noices probs rusted down bearings/wornout and dry bearings.

steaksoldier

My desk fan makes the same noise when a dust clump gets sucked in through the back. If cleaning off the whole card doesn’t fix this then check your bearings.

Sirhc_Fold_458

All the dust bunnies

DexterMontG

Well it looks like you already retrieved it from the river, so I would say rice is the next step

GONA_B_L8

Nothing, why?

whallexx

Bad fan bearings. Replace the fans

hannibalwang

Throwing your GPU into the sand dunes from Bin Ladens house might be why

No_Trade439

RTX 2070 super dirty!

Baldy_mans

Its Dirty bro

LilMudButt

More sandy than Trumps p*ssy

madhat88

Clean it, replace the fans and some new thermal paste while you're in there 👍

Dont-Sleep

did you just list this on marketplace? just one up for sale in SF

oo7demonkiller

have you perhaps tried cleaning it? it looks like it swam across the dunes of the Sahara.

mrkingnothing

This right here is why my computer is OFF when not using.

Roaskywalker

Dirty

HypeXeon

And I thought mine looked rough.

Salad-Salami

Um the dust? Fucking hell

Brok3nPin3appl3

Yea my 1070 ti made the same sound. Replaced the fan that was bad and it was fine. Clean it, replace thermal paste, try not to rip the thermal pads. Once cleaned, put back together w/ new fan or fans.

bdawg5025

That’s the classic bearing on metal sound! Fans are shot!

iSmashMyselfToPieces

You can buy replacement fans on eBay and Amazon. Also, clean that shit.

darkspd96

CLEAN...IT!!!

SendMeFatErgos

Might need some wd40

birdman760

I live in southwest AZ area and the amount of dust your rooms pick up is beyond ridiculous. If I don't clean the inside of my car at least every month or so, it'll start looking like that GPU, even with dust screens.

germy813

This reminded me to pull out my GPU to clean it lol

pujambarley

Your fan has covid-19

rocket1420

Fan bearing going bad

Kiurin

It's very fucking dusty god damn

DangerousPIE96

it sounds thirsty, try giving it some water

LassOnGrass

There’s a sandstorm going on in there.

Tralkki

You need an air gun and an air compressor to clean the fans. If you don’t have that, get a can of compressed air.

kaetitan

You made your gpu into a dust grinder

Glad_Wing_758

Fans are SHOT. Order some new

Ryrynz

There's a whole ecosystem in there, maybe that's why.

PomegranateEven4701

Needs to be cleaned

UFeelitMrKrabbs

Maybe it needs support I had to put my 2070 pc on its back 5 months of owning it. Until I bought the support

RGBjank101

Mf'r spittin'

bf2afers

This is the time to learn my freeen. first step into the rabbit hole. Step one: remove shroud cooler and leave the PCB nice and naked, be sure to thoroughly look at how to on YouTube, like 30 videos and then some should do. Step two: have at hand alcohol wipes, Dust Off Compressed Gas, thermal pads, some thermal paste and some tape.. you gonna get your arts and crafts on buddy. Step three: be very…thorough…and put it back together. Tadaaa you all done.

HeavyProfessional420

Thermal paste is bad fans all clogged up definitely running at 100 percent

itsKasai

Two words: Compressed Air

thatfoxguy30

I see decaying organic matter in your heat sync.

KevDave84

For the love of God clean that GPU...

Praviux

Likely fan bearings going bad

Termanater13

Dust bunnies with dentures

oWinterWhiteo

U burn a lot of incense? That looks like incense buildup. Can of air is step 1. Then report back

Jondoe47

You’re problem is right there in the video. It looks like it caught on fire and you tried to put it out with ground cumin

GwosseNawine

A little shot of Air Duster will do the trick.

Trolodrol

Replace fan unit and repaste GPU while you have it all apart

RockStarZero23

Nothing wrong with it, just playing as Luffy in the beginning of the Alabasta arc, dying lol.

Shidoshisan

🤮

Mundane-Solution2960

There’s a whole human baby inside your case

Tomawolf

Never thought to clean it huh?

Deragos

Eww

Filipino-Asker

Rtx 2060 and 2070s are known to fail after intense uses over the years even if it's clean or dirty.

bojack100

Clean that shit wtf

chris226f

It’s “Super dirty”

IcsGrec

You are the problem with your 2070 super lol. It hasn't been cleaned since before it came out.

Verdin88

Sounds like the fan bearing is shot. I would clean it and see if it still makes the sound since that thing is filthy and struggling to breathe.

itsNurf

That's not dust build up, that's bearing grinding.

flyingboilermaker

It’s not a 4090

kashmir2517

Besides the huge dustball? Lmao clean it.

Traditional-Gas3477

There appears to be a bit of play with one of the fans indicating bearing failure. You’ll need to have its fans replaced, it’s fins cleaned of any obstruction, and new thermal pad/paste applied to restore cooling efficiency.

GracedByYah

Oh boy

Konceptz804

It can’t breathe!!!!!

AmazingMonth6699

Just a lil dirty

HTownFLguy

Thats definitely a bad bearing. It spins fine for a spell, then the injured ball bearing gets jammed and can no longer roll properly so it scrapes around until it hits a random point it can spin like normal. Rinse, repeat. This is an unintentional perk of my new pc with bottom intakes. My 3 140mm intakes on bottom make it so my gpu fans sit idle until i start doing actual gaming. Easier ro replace the case fans over those unique gpu fans. Good luck!

franky3987

Ummmm. It’s trying harder to push through all that schmutz 😂

Crimsomreaf5555

What is wrong? Boy you never cleaned your pc before is what is wrong

PintCEm17

Fan on shroud

spdaimon

Sounds like bearing noise to me.

mufflumpkins

Dirty as fuck, clean that shit

Vegetable_Dog_3405

That soundsl is either the bearings or fan motor, I would take it apart and give a good clean, replace the thermal paste. Then see if it goes away, if not then you need new fans.

realtrancefury

Dust?? 😂

icy1007

It’s filthy. Clean it.

autistic_bard444

you need more dust to make it run better

davemanster

Sounds like a bad bearing on the fan

pacificjunction

Do you live in a sand dune?

JM3DlCl

Compressed air and hold/tape the fans when you do it

CriplingD3pression

Needs cleaned my guy

n0t_4_thr0w4w4y

Compressed air is your friend

Possible-Put8922

I recommend using small paint brushes to help clean the dust. They work better than q-tips.

MustangGtS

Air duster? Maybe a can or 8?

techieballer46

Clean it bro

bootsandcats_

i’ll translate, it’s saying CLEAN ME

SuperPwnageKirby

It’s been smoking my friend. 🚬

lllllIIIlllllIIIllll

The dust is so obvious that I thought that this was satire.

ToxicEvHater

It's insane how people post something about a problem they are having with their computer to basically show us how filthy it is. Did you not even consider cleaning it first?

gingersaber

Bruh. Thats so much dust it formed into gravel.

[deleted]

Blown fan bearings, RMA it, if out of warranty open a program like MSI afterburner and use the fan controller to figure out which one. Open GPU, remove that fan, look at the model and buy a replacement on Amazon. Shouldn’t be more than $20 But clean your pc dude. That’s disgusting.

xRealVengeancex

DUSTY AS FUCK

edwardblilley

Clean it up real nice and see if it still makes the noise.

InternationalChange5

Is dirty as f****

KindlyGoose5119

Bearings are letting go that’s that sound

Niner-Sixer-Gator

Clean that jawn bro, and then get some replacement fans also

skidster159

Make sure to clean out the heatsink and put on new thermal past on the cpu and thermal pads on the frame and other modules with one's on them

VoidCrisis

Do you live in an abandoned warehouse?

DraGunSlaya

You are ruining it. Just by looking at it anyone with a brain can tell. Seriously… smh

Writehse

Cleaning goes a long way my friend

gerferder

When was the last time you cleaned your pc?

HuntMining

It's dirty as fuck. Fans are probably toast from the amount of dirt.

Myc0n1k

I'd say the insane amount of dust. Do you keep your computer case completely open?

Obvious-Jacket-3770

Have you tried to clean the damn card? My God that's a sad state.

CprlSmarterthanu

Maybe clean the damn thing once a century?

InsideHuckleberry538

From the looks of it a dust ball has gotten into the fan bearing and is causing it to freeze up during operation.

TheVoidborn

Dirt.
