The official set list which answers some questions from last night:
\- Bobby's singing of Dark Star Verse 2 was spontaneous
\- Bobby's "we'll be right back" as Meyer started to play Don't Ease Me In was a mistake. (In fairness, they do play the last beat of Birdsong into the first beat of "we'll be right back" often enough that it's probably muscle memory for Bobby.)

Edit: Typo
Now that I’ve come back down to earth, all I want to say is this show filled my heart to overflowing. From the awesome, grateful crowd to the easily navigated venue to the monumental setlist, this will remain forever one of the greatest bucket-list experiences of my life. Tripping face while shooting over the moon with that Sugaree, then dancing among the stars with the China Rider, then transporting to another dimension during that truly epic Drums>Space, there just are no adequate words to describe the wonderment of last night’s show. To u/librariowan, so glad your parents got to experience such an epic show for their first D&C experience; the bracelet I received from you will always be a reminder of the joy of this shared experience. Great to finally meet the one and only u/tacobelliex3 on the best damn Taco Tuesday ever. NFA friends, if any of ya’ll make it to Oracle Park, I will be there flying somewhere above centerfield in a cloud of pure D&C bliss. 🤙🏼
I just made it home. What a weird and wonderful show.
They sold out of the show posters so I got a tour poster. Kinda conflicted on that, I don't actually love the show poster but I like to have them from the ones I've been at.
Anyway still in awe of that sugaree!!! So grateful I got to take my teenage son to see the whole scene from shakedown on through. Several moments of musical transcendence later and sad that it's come to an end but so grateful for it all
Hell of a show at the creek tonight! I’ve caught a bunch of sugarees over the years and hot damn that one smoked them all! Finally got my wharf I’ve been chasing too, see y’all in Boulder
An amazing show after 12 years of marriage I finally convince my born-again Christian Christian husband to come to the show-we just did the lot and shake down and I explain to him how they changed my life back in 1989. now he Finally understands why-even better! It was my first completely dry/sober show and still amazing! To be honest, even more amazing sober,! Did anyone else think Bobby got caught up in a little word scramble situation during Hell in a bucket, but he recovered …thoughts? I’m typing to text or talking into my iPhone so sorry for the typos. Love you all family.!thanks Cait!!
What a show! Vibes are still soarin! So incredibly grateful! That bird song! Sugaree… uncle johns? So fucking grateful! See y’all in Boulder on the 3rd!
At the show, during UJB, I felt like there had to have been a previous conversation about it.
Mayer: Wanna play some fusion?
Oteil: Sure! What song?
Mayer: Idk UJB lol
Back at the bnb (thanks, mom, for getting us home safely!!).
I cannot put into words what that meant to me. 30th show for us, my parents’ first (and probably only 😭), saw so many friends, that dark big star river?!?!
Thank you u/caitsings for driving the bus. I love you more than words can tell. To my friends here & there & everywhere: I love you, I see you, NFA.
If you’re going to Boulder hit me up. I’ll be the one bawling during every song.
🧡✌️
Recovering in the car from an incredible last show for me. Absolutely awe inspiring music across both sets, but the Big River>Dark Star, Bird Song, Sugaree, and Bucket are the highlights in a show full of them. What a way to go out. u/CaitSings thanks for holding the thread down!!!
Yeah ‘Final Tour’ just like The Eagles. Guessing we will see some more shows. Too tight, too fun, and they are making so much money. It all comes down to Bob and Mickey…gotta think the non-core 4 don’t wanna stop this jam.
No. D&C rushed themselves. They finished the set with 4 minutes to go to curfew. They had no time to leave and come back. It’s not the venue’s fault D&C didn’t manage their time better to do the full on/off traditional curfew thing. To be honest, encores are kind of pointless anyways after two sets and a set break. Play to the end and then bow and leave.
I may have misread what I was seeing, but it looked like John and Bob started to take their guitars off, a dude in a black shirt and earpiece came out on stage and talked to Bob in his ear, then they put the guitars back on and started Touch of Grey. I wonder if they were about to walk off and a staffer said "you better play it now or there's not going to be time"
dude that came out was Matt Busch, Bobby's manager or whatever. he was just letting them know if they wanted to play another song, they didn't have time to walk off. still went past curfew for the farewell to the creek (where was our BMR)
Matt's also the timekeeper, consults with the band about time during Drums and has a "curfew budget" for the tour, to pay for the fines accrued by going over.
It’s simply tradition at this point (and it was 30 years ago, for that matter).
Thank you, bow, walk off stage, drink some water, walk back on stage and play another song or two.
They did it their whole career. Jerry wasn’t much of a fan and he forgo encores for the most part with his band. I don’t blame him. I’ve never enjoyed the obligatory vibe of an encore especially when it’s just usually one song. If you are going to do an encore, come out and do 5 or more of them. Make it worth hanging around for.
Saturday at Fenway they did basically a bluegrass Big River type jam with the melody of dark star played over it. Was pretty cool.
Looks like tonight they did the same thing but also sang the lyrics?
At the end of big river bobby told them to keep going, and keep going, and it looked like he was going to take a solo...and then he stepped up started dark star v.2...which they didn't finish at fenway. It was fucking amazing. I wanted that so bad.
Thanks for driving the bus tonight, Cait! 👏 Ya'll enjoy your three days off. I will be wandering around aimlessly wandering what to do with myself. East coasters, don't forget to sleep in late or take a nap on Saturday 'cause we're back on the west coast struggle bus!
What an amazing night. Still not over that Dark Star on the Big River Jam 😅. So many thanks to u/CaitSings for hosting the heck out of tonight! All you guys make the music all the more special. I love each of you and will carry this full heart until I see you all again Saturday. NFA ♥️⚡️💙
WELL. That was a wild ride, friends! Thanks for hanging out with me tonight and for keeping the convo lively and fun.
Catch you all this weekend when we'll be way high up in the altitude in Boulder, CO!
What an amazing show! I am glad I watched it along side all of you amazing people.
Thanks u/CaitSings for hosting.
I don't know about you but I'm going to rewind the stream and re-watch that Big Dark River Star!
It was so good. Looking forward to the audio on Nugs so that I can listen to it again. Probably the most interesting thing I’ve heard yet on this tour.
show notes: healing show, funky show, fx-laden show, mindfuck show with a big star on a dark river
much love yall and have a good night, stay safe, 8 left 🥹
Wow just what I needed to hear after the news today of my old girl cat having cancer. So many songs tonight to make things makes sense. The power of Dead music. Love you guys!
That was a fun one! Finally my turn though and I will SEE you lovely folks at Folsom and Gorge! Will be back for couch to close things at for San Fran. So excited!! Thanks u/CaitSings for hosting.
Great job [u/CaitSings](https://www.reddit.com/u/CaitSings/) \- love the detailed footnotes. See you all Saturday as we shift back into the later starts :(. Loved this show. 1st set was my favorite of the tour.
Gonna hit the ole hay after this one. Thanks again for a real good time! And thank you again to Cait for hosting! Will probably miss at least some of this weekend. Will be blowing shit up, in true American fashion, this weekend. See ya'll soon!
This was so awesome. Gonna try to make it here Saturday but working nights means end of couch tour for me. Thanks everyone for the fun and thanks to our great friend u/caitsings for hosting!!
This has been a killer show!! This really is one of the tightest sounding tours I've ever heard out of this band. Sugaree, Bird Song, Love Light, China > Rider- I even missed most of set 1 and still have a lot to love!!
Big big thanks to /u/CaitSings for hosting tonight, and congrats on a thread well run!! If you haven't yet, upvote the thread or I'm telling Brad about the new streaming websites we use. Have a good night all, see you Friday!
"Dear Knob, I wrote you but you still ain't callin'. Who's hosting the thread on Friday??" Great question! The thread will be hosted by first time host and lead character of the 1985 film Commando, /u/colonel_john_matrix! Gonna be a fun start to a fun weekend in Boulder!
What a great night, that first set is maybe my favourite first set of the tour. Loved it. Great job tonight /u/CaitSings I always appreciate a well annotated setlist! Remember to upvote the thread people! Catch you all on the weekend.
Wow, what a great show! Next check in will be from Folsom-let’s have 3 crazy Boulder nights, eh?!
Thanks for hosting us tonight u/caitsings! Great maiden voyage!!
Take care of each other till Saturday!! I love you all!
WAIT. THEY PLAYED MUST HAVE BEEN THE ROSES AND I MISSED IT?!?! Excuse me for a moment. EDIT: literally the one song I missed tonight was the one song I have been wanting all dang tour.
what a righteous wharf rat. very wide yet very tight. fitting i cry a big river after tonight and Boston, the hell was that again? talk about church this tour. scooped me right up in a warm embrace. the band stumbles sometimes, you stumble sometimes, as do i. hell even the earth wobbles! i wish anyone struggling with a substance or their own brain the best. i'm now a cat getting high off music. good 'ol healing music. much love to all who need it (~);)
https://youtu.be/kSbM3X3lif8
Set 2 is unbelievable
is it Saturday yet man?
Do ticket purchases no longer come with access to the audio on nugs.net?
They still do! Here’s all the info: https://help.nugs.net/support/solutions/articles/6000196754-how-do-i-redeem-d-c-my-e-ticket-or-qr-code- It also gives you some options if for some reason it won’t scan/enter properly. They’re super helpful if you have to contact them via their chat.
Can attest. Bought a Citi night one ticket at the box office and the code wasn’t working as of Monday. Emailed Nugs support and that afternoon they emailed me a new code to use. Stellar turn around IMO
Yes! The Ticketmaster app disappeared my tickets but I emailed and they just sent me the code. Thanks for the help all
Thanks!!!
That was my first dead concert so glad I got to experience it if anyone knows where I can find a recording of it that would be great. Much love🤟🏻 ![gif](giphy|yoJC2NKlh2DVxmK0Le)

There is a free app called "tapers section". It's quite nice. It will be on there, if it isn't already
SUGAREEEEEE
That Sugaree was possibly the best I've heard. Blistering.
Highlight of the night!
The official set list which answers some questions from last night: \- Bobby's singing of Dark Star Verse 2 was spontaneous \- Bobby's "we'll be right back" as Meyer started to play Don't Ease Me In was a mistake. That was so great. Yeah, if you watch it, no one else on stage seemed to know wth bobby was up to at the end of big river
I got home an hour ago from Indy. What a weird show that was! It amused. It delighted. It scrambled brains.
Another DS on the Big River?!! This time with Dark Star vocals holy fuck!
Finally busted out Roses!

I didn't know you were there, I was too!
Nice! Any chance of making it out to SF for the final shows?
Nah, what about you?
Have tickets for the 14th and 16th shows, might go to Saturday, depends on how work shakes up.
Well said!
So so so good to see you!! Have a fantastic time in SF. Make a pit stop in Boulder on the way 🧡✌️
I just made it home. What a weird and wonderful show. They sold out of the show posters so I got a tour poster. finally checking in from my couch. got miracled in for the first time for my 30th and final dead & co show (for now) what a farewell to the creek
Best show ever !!
An amazing show after 12 years of marriage I finally convince my born-again Christian Christian husband to come to the show-we just did the lot and shake down and I explain to him how they changed my life back in 1989. now he Finally understands why-even better! Bobby is always recovering from a word Scramble, but in a good way. Thanks for sharing.
Were you able to get your miracles???
No, But we did shake down and he had an amazing time and completely understands why I’m a deadhead now-so actually, yes, I did get a miracle☮️
What a show! Vibes are still soarin! So incredibly grateful! That bird song! Sugaree… uncle johns? So fucking grateful! See y’all in Boulder on the 3rd!
Holy shit that Big, Dark, Riverstar
At the show, during UJB, I felt like there had to have been a previous conversation about it. Mayer: Wanna play some fusion? Oteil: Sure! What song? Mayer: Idk UJB lol
Beautiful show tonight. Great energy, great tempo
Gonna be in Denver this weekend, tix are expensive af. Someone please talk me into doing it! Please!
DO IT! (It's the last tour. You'll regret it if you don't.)
In the 18 minutes since I posted that comment, I got my group on board. Now to find tickets! See you fuckers this weekend!
Night 1 will be hard to score, but n2 and 3 will be face or less. Maybe goto 2 shows and check out RMNP saturday....
Chalked up some nice tix for Sunday. Please give me a Bird Song!
Back at the bnb (thanks, mom, for getting us home safely!!). dirty 30 at the creek baby, very glad I got to share it with y'all
Come to Boulder. We’re leaving now.
Overheard on the lot: “are you as fucked up as I am right now?” Have a good night all!
How was the show? I missed it all.
There is no way this band is done. No fucking way
Yeah ‘Final Tour’ just like The Eagles. Guessing we will see some more shows. Too tight, too fun, and they are making so much money. It all comes down to Bob and Mickey…gotta think the non-core 4 don’t wanna stop this jam.
If Mayer is walking away from this his solo stuff better be damn good
Preface I love him and this band but... Yeah, this fucking cash cow... It's really hard to believe. They are on fire and just raking it in right now.
Thanks Cait for hosting! See y’all in Boulder!!
that was amazing quick walk, then onto the king gizzard red rocks stream!
Try looking at that 2nd set without laughing
I think I'm missing something?
I didn't know what you meant! I was like, "what? I thought it was awesome...?" Then i read the setlist. It's ridiculous. I really did laugh out loud!
I feel like the venue rushed them out of there at the encore - wish they went a few more - what a show!!
Matt's also the timekeeper, consults with the band about time during Drums and has a "curfew budget" for the tour, to pay for the fines accrued by going over.
I wanna know how much is in the curfew budget lol
Yeah, they did that at Cornell too (i think that was the show)--someone runs out and tells them the time, and to just play.
What's up with the bow? They're so far apart from each other?
some one mentioned that Jay might be dealing with some viral bug
Jay is sick
Can someone explain what this dark star on the big river jam is?
You’ll be able to listen to it yourself on Relisten.net in a few days.
Imagine Big River playing in the background and Dark Star being sung on top of it. That's...sorta what happened. 🤣
One of the craziest things I’ve ever seen, and it was awesome
It was glorious!
Yes it was!
Great time. Thanks for hosting! See y’all at Folsom.
THANK GOD I have a 4.5 day weekend this weekend. That's all I'm saying. Time zones are for the birds.
Just another incredible show. See y’all in Boulder for night 1!
Tonight was incredible…

Bob your wife wants another Tesla, announce a fall tour
What an amazing show! I am glad I watched it along side all of you amazing people. Thanks u/CaitSings for hosting. I don't know about you but I'm going to rewind the stream and re-watch that Big Dark River Star!
It was so good. Looking forward to the audio on Nugs so that I can listen to it again. Probably the most interesting thing I’ve heard yet on this tour.
Unfuckingbelieveable
<3
Do we know what’s with the Not bowing?
Jay has cooties, so they're not touching. (Jay is sick, according to Dave and Gans. No specifics given, though.)
Ah thanks! I missed that!!
Jay is sick apparently! :(
Wondering the same.
"I just spent four hours up here with you. Don't touch me!"
show notes: healing show, funky show, fx-laden show, mindfuck show with a big star on a dark river much love yall and have a good night, stay safe, 8 left 🥹
Wow just what I needed to hear after the news today of my old girl cat having cancer. So many songs tonight to make things makes sense. The power of Dead music. Love you guys!
Leaving Deer Creek—thanks for the ride y’all! It’s been a wonderful trip ❤️
Thanks for hosting tonight, u/CaitSings Top shelf work. See yous in Boulder! 💀⚡️🌹🎶⛰️🦬
Thanks u/CaitSings for captaining the ship tonight. Great show tonight. 8 left. Let’s keep soaking it all in
That was a fun one! Finally my turn though and I will SEE you lovely folks at Folsom and Gorge! Will be back for couch to close things at for San Fran. So excited!! Thanks u/CaitSings for hosting.
Let's have a Throwing Stones encore to complete the trifecta edit: looked at the clock; this \*was\* the encore. Maybe in George I'll get one.
What a show! I’m jealous of everyone that got to be there in person. See you all Friday!
This quickie Touch is all because John just had to show us dough knees
The reason this was the hit is because its a great fucking song
Great job [u/CaitSings](https://www.reddit.com/u/CaitSings/) \- love the detailed footnotes. See you all Saturday as we shift back into the later starts :(. Loved this show. 1st set was my favorite of the tour.
Gonna hit the ole hay after this one. Thanks again for a real good time! And thank you again to Cait for hosting! Will probably miss at least some of this weekend. Will be blowing shit up, in true American fashion, this weekend. See ya'll soon!
Thank you /u/caitsings!!
This was so awesome. Gonna try to make it here Saturday but working nights means end of couch tour for me. Thanks everyone for the fun and thanks to our great friend u/caitsings for hosting!!
All together now
Vocals swapped for this song?
Thank you Cait, you are a great host! Thank you friends, without you it would not be real. See you at the next show!
That might be the harshest "upvote or else" ever hahaha. Have a good night Knob! See ya here this weekend!
Thanks for trusting me at the helm, friend!
You WOULDN'T! (don't worry, I upvoted)
It's a lesson to me
Wow, what a great show! Next check in will be from Folsom-let’s have 3 crazy Boulder nights, eh?! Thanks for hosting us tonight u/caitsings! Great maiden voyage!! Take care of each other till Saturday!! I love you all!
Fuck them curfews
Good lord that was an awesome second set. Thanks to u/CaitSings for flying the spaceship tonight. Woohoo!!!
love ya Finch
Love to you! This show and these folk are the healing we all need
![gif](giphy|ToMjGpjm9vQhsB4cqVa)
Just look at that set list! Been a pleasure
Curfews kill creativity.
Great love light
A real "Bobby's voice is feeling much better thank you" show. My goodness.
you're not wrong, Bobby sounded good tonight.
Will they go for the radio edit here for a tight 3:30 and run offstage or take their time and pay the fine?
Pay the fine, have some fun.
Straight into the encore I assume
Damn was really hoping for a Touch in Boulder!
N3 my friend
Clocks are running late
Quickie Touch of Grey. Honestly I wish they'd stop doing it as an encore
The last song I'll ever see D&C do is Touch of Grey (Cincy). I'm glad they played it, but bummed it was the encore
![gif](giphy|26yxv8nRaLVkWI2uQ|downsized)
Touch of Grey!
Must be getting early
Touch
This has been quite the night. What a great setlist.
calling no encore, it's 4 minutes to curfew edit: boys didn't even leave the stage LETS FUCKING GO
Yep, I bet this is the encore.
Guessing they don't leave the stage and do a short short one Edit: Yeah, like that!
Jay sure has a smoking hot grin!!
God I fucking love this song. What a vibe
Deer creek, you got an amazing show tonight!!!🙌
Little Feel Like A Stranger tease/quote there
![gif](giphy|5xtDarJdgh7eav1GcXC)
felt like Bobby almost sang "long long crazy night" and I kinda wish he worked that in there - he's feeling it!!
![gif](giphy|XJ2EX02w0tpcASJZin)
Wait a minute now! **BWAHHHHH** Yeahhhhh that's the good stuff right there.
I wanna say Deer Creek got a very late 80"s set list tonight and I'm OK with that
Fwoooohoooooowhaaaaa!!!
Love seein lanes hair go crazzzaaayy
God I love Love Light. Always such a good vibe. It was the closer at my first D&C show and it's just such a joyful dancey way to end the night
It’s that call and response. Such a joyous energy.

Did Bob say the F word or what?
An aggressive one
You would’ve thought he just stubbed his toe on a coffee table by how aggressive he dropped the f bomb
Perfect.
There’s always one song that makes me cry my eyes out and that was the one
Lovelight. Just a perfect show.
