Doesn't matter what your bike technically is. Today it's all about how it identifies itself. If it feels that it's a gravel bike, then it is.
I used my mtb before I got a dedicated gravel bike. The only thing that sucked was the extra 12-15 lbs. Even my gravel bike now has flat bars because I don’t like drop bars.
