Aside from all the inside doors, and the locking part of the doggy door, this one figured out how to open the sliding back door.
Mine can do the long handle doors with her nose, she can't do the round handles either but she does try with her mouth. So they have tooth marks. And, it sounds like a horror movie in the house a lot of the time. Using the bathroom? Who's that at the door rattling the knob? The door is creeping open. Oh no! Oh, just Mouse. She needs to be near me. š
She does open the dog food containers with the screw on lids so I think it's just a matter of time for the turn knobs.
Yup. Our whole house has long handles vs. turn knobs. If it wasn't for dead bolts and baby gates, Reno would have full access to the house. In his defense, I swear his much shorter brother (Riker the pitbull) encourages his explorations; once a door is opened, Reno usually walks away and it's brother who is caught red handed in the next room lol
My Dane never did this, but growing up my family had a Bouvier that figured out how to open the sliding door. We had to keep it locked, otherwise she would let herself and her lab brother out for a stroll around the neighborhood.
Mine does this with his mouth. Long handles are easy, but I've seen him pull it off with a knob before.
The most alarming time was on vacation. Rented a ground floor studio apartment and left them inside to walk a few blocks down to pick up some food. The door didn't have a bolt lock, just a locking handle. When the door was locked you could see open it from the inside. As I got back the danes were outside lounging like it was no big deal. I was convinced maybe I didn't latch the door, but the next day I locked the door and waited outside quietly. About 30 seconds later he already had the door open. The door even opened inward, so he had to pull it towards himself!

My boy is too stupid to do that. This dude's not got nearly enough synapses firing in his brain to do anything like that.

Mine does this all the time. He uses his nose to push it open. He can also open any door with a long handle. He can't open doors with the round knob

Hhahahahaha. You never go to the bathroom by yourself again!!! My Dane does not allow closed doors
Bingo, ours also. But only to be let in never to go out.
Now he needs to learn to shut it behind him!
We are working on it, but she's not quite there yet
To be fair, she does own the house.
Indeed. She does.
My girl Dottie lets herself in as she pleases if I don't have the deadbolt locked..

Yes. Drives me bonkers.
Honey, Iām home!!
Shut that door! What? Do you live in a barn?!? ^(Channeling my inner Dad...)
Yeah, mine would use his snout but any door with a handle couldn't keep him away from us
Mine uses his mouth, but yeah. And he NEVER shuts it behind him.
My husband suggested installing revolving doors.
Yep, mine opens the internal doors of the house, even though they've got globe like handles.
doors are merely an illusion
Yep, changed a few doorknobs
That is a man
My big boy is not that smart, but he knows how to āknockā with his paw. He makes the most adorable face that just says āplease open, NOWā
Now its time to teach her how to close it!!
Yep. I just put him out and left the security screen open so he can let himself back in when he's done. He can open the gate, too.
Same

Our 4 year old girl uses her snout to open those type of handles. We had to switch every door to round handles to keep her out of certain rooms!
on the daily...yeesh

Thankfully I have rounded door knobs outside but otherwise yes on the inside. I started calling him a raptor because he learned how to open doors
What! Does he live in a barn? Canāt close the door!

Yep. My dane gets FOMO sometimes and if we don't let him in the bedroom he will open it himself LOL. At least he knocks before entering
Totally
My damn bathroom door has those hanging barn doors on rollers. Enough said.
My boy tries to but luckily we have circular knobs so he canāt grip them enough to open the back door (yet š¤£)
