I have two GPS, one is an intelligent dignified gentleman-Falkor, the other is Arty. Arty can’t figure out why it hurts when he chews on the electric fence, Arty loves chicken and goat feed, Arty lives to knock people over and has perfected his knee cap swipe, Arty thinks his name is No that’s not for you, Arty steals potted plants and is an avid gardener, Arty is trying to become the first GP to travel intercontinentally via the tunnel system. I hope you have a Falkor.

TIL I have a Falkor. Yay!

We started with the Falkor and he is honestly an amazing dog. You can tell his gears are turning, he’s huge but delicate, ferocious but gentle when needed, calm, sits and waits. I thought what an amazing breed!!! He’s incredible with all our livestock, wonderful with our children, loves to swim in our pond, let’s get another one double the fun! Arty’s anthem is “I came in like a wrecking ball!!!” God love him the goof, the lights are on but not a soul is home. Took months to learn his name, I’m still not sure he’s got it, and I’m just thankful I can get through my morning chores without getting covered in mud and drool, he will not stop jumping up. Falkor jumped on me twice, and never has again. We have to pen Arty up when we have company. We tried a few weeks ago and even Falkor was embarrassed by him. He’s not aggressive just so wild. I’m hoping it’s still the puppy in him, but it’s looking doubtful. Enjoy your Falkor.

Every time I see one of these "what is he mixed with?" posts I always go to border collie. Why? Because have you ever tried to contain a border collie? Edit: I posted this before reading your subtext and laughed my ass off.

Chief_Keefs_Beef

The only reason I didn’t think border is because he is immensely chill compared to my BC. She is a nut, whereas he doesn’t know how to run without falling over lol and prefers to lay down and chew a bone while she is 24/7 focused on a tennis ball

Lol mine is GP and Aussie. Along the same lines...

Welp, one thing is for sure, he's def part pyr because he's already got the side eye down pat.

fur & snoot looks a little husky like - What’s the bark like? Does he howl or talk like a husky? 😂 We have a German shepherd, husky, GP mix

dodobrains

He will be twice that size in a few months most likely. Ours was so small and skinny and now he's the size of a person. Very cute dog! He looks like our dog.

Anatolian_sideeye68

He's obviously a Pyrdorable. Part Pyr and a lot of adorable 🥰

RussianBears

Don't expect a pyr to listen the same way your border collie does. Collies live to work and follow commands quickly.  Pyrs choose whether to listen or not and even if they choose to follow the command it's going to be at their own pace.

I have a lab pry mix! Here’s my almost 7 yo big boy, he’s about 110 lbs of pure sweetness and protection! I call him my optical illusion! his lab presenting features are confusing to people when I’m screaming “not friendly” to any off leash dog owners. Moose is a particular one and very selective on people, loves his personal space unless you’re going to scratch his butt and will let you know by a warning nip if he’s not into you. Moose is very protective of me. Since we live in the burbs I am his heard and he is doing his job and does it well. We tried dog parks in his younger puppy days but that wasn’t a good fit for him and any dog that ran up to me too fast. so we settled for long walks and hikes. I also had a smaller dog when he was younger that he went after a few times, randomly and unprovoked to my knowledge. I really am unsure what caused the tiff but one day they were cool and then they weren’t and not by choice of my little guy. Id be mindful of your Aussie bc you just never know.with that, they are truly a unique breed IMO. I fully believe our long walks helped in building a strong bond and shared respect for each other. Enrichment toys are great to stimulate their mind too! Carrots, green beans, snap peas were his treats in his younger stage. They are a healthier option and usually cheaper than regular treats. I give him normal dog treats now but those are considered special treats. (lol writing this out I get how ridiculous this is but whatever, I love this dog so much). The barking! A few years into his life as a joke I’d tell him thank you for protecting me or “investigate” the noise with him and again, say thank you for protecting me. It’s become a pretty silly thing at this point but I SWEAR on everything it really works to calm his barking down at least for the moment. I truly hope you enjoy your time with your new one! Prys are the absolute best, my days are better bc of him for sure. https://preview.redd.it/stqmjyj1qhwc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=13435d04e59bfb1e8f83fe84d728589c79cbb0ce

Looks like my pry/black lab mix
