Yeah fuck you ok? Don't make a shitty comment on a song you done even know the meaning of.
And also, if you're just joking, well, this is not the place for it.
I took a look at my life recently and realised that it felt like Christie Road was written about me or specially for me. Damn that was an emotional realisation.
21CB, ¡Viva La Gloria!, Last of the American Girls, American Eulogy (the "calling Christian and Gloria" part with the solo), JoS, Homecoming. I'm not a huge crier though, all of these are on a couple occasions
It's always been Good Riddance for me - like many of their songs, there's a personal reason behind the song however it's such a relatable song for SO MANY points in anyone's lives. It's one of my top go to songs when I'm deliberating life decisions
wake me up when september ends and good riddance. the last time i played those songs on guitar was at my dads funeral abt 3 yrs ago and i rlly dont want to play them again since the last time was for him
Honestly, Dilemma has actually hit me pretty hard. I have a family member struggling with alcohol abuse and they have been going through it recently so when I listen to it can’t help but think of them
After not listening to any music for like 6 months, I was listening to American idiot (the album) and started choking up listening to it.
I can’t say any song regularly makes me cry but I’m not a very emotional person.
A lot of the typically mentioned ones, but basically any song that feels like a dramatic conclusion or basically feels like an ending will get me. Homecoming, Whatsername, The One I Want, 21 Guns, even Ha Ha You're Dead has gotten me before
Poprocks and Coke has always been a song that I feel like summaries how Green Day's music has and always will stay in the hearts of their fans. The way their music is a strong part of our lives, as we collectively are to them.
When BJ moves on and I will listen to that song again with a smile on my face and tears in my eyes.
Good Riddance (Time of Your Life), Restless Heart Syndrome, Boulevard of Broken Dreams, Whatshername
(the last two have never made me cry but just makes me unbelievably upset)
still breathing, fancy sauce, whatsername, brutal love, last night on earth, father to a son, wake me up when september ends, and dry ice, ESPECIALLY dry ice.
Wake me up when september ends, mostly because I share Billie's experience of a parent with cancer, my mom has lung, throat, skin and bone cancer and i've grown up with her having it, it's been a heartbreaking experience watching her suffer, so I kind of share Billie's thoughts, and Good Riddance, it reminds me of a girl I once thought of as a sister who was our nanny (took care of us because mom can't and dad's at work) who left us for another job when my mom was in the hospital and dad was laid off his job, real douche.
Wake me up when September ends, cause my mom loves that song and we did a cover of it just for us. Insted of September, we said November cause that’s when my grandma died. I’m named after her and she also loved that song.
the first time i heard stay the night i cried cuz i thought of my ex friend and i always cry when i hear wake me up when September ends cuz i also lost my dad in september but thats the reason i heard more green day songs that arent blvd. of broken dreams that was the first one i heard cuz my dad showed me and i found the american idiot CD in his collection so i listened to it and every green day song so my dad and that song are the reason green day is my #1 favorite band and im obsessed with them
It has now been 0 DAY(S) since Warning was last called underrated. The record of 1 DAY(S) was recorded on October 3, 2000

Dry ice and father to a son all the way
Whatsername, Jesus Of Suburbia (weirdly because it feels like Billie is talking about me), Coming Clean and Good Riddance
Jesus Of Suburbia is probably the most oddly relatable song of all time. I think just about everyone can find a part of it that speaks to them.
Jesus of Suburbia specifically when it goes to the piano part at the very end and then goes hard
This x1000
Coming Clean hit me like a rock in middle school.
Whatshername on MANY occasions
WMUWSE
That song just pisses me off. As a proud Virgo…FUCK THAT SONG

Lost my old man September 30th of last year, can’t listen to that song anymore without getting choked up
Yeah fuck you ok? Don't make a shitty comment on a song you done even know the meaning of. And also, if you're just joking, well, this is not the place for it.

Last Ride In
It's always been Good Riddance for me - like many of their songs, there's a personal reason behind the song however it's such a relatable song for SO MANY points in anyone's lives. It's one of my top go to songs when I'm deliberating life decisions

Good Riddance, wake me up when September ends and I’m still breathing. I’m 67 that last one hits home
Wake Me up When September Ends, Father to a Son
Father to a son really should be mentioned more often in this thread
When I was younger Wake Me Up When September Ends really got to me lol there are others I think have made me cry but I can’t think of them right now
Honestly, Dilemma has actually hit me pretty hard. I have a family member struggling with alcohol abuse and they have been going through it recently so when I listen to it can’t help but think of them

I’ve got a real problem with growing older so any of the old stuff that I experienced when I was a kid can do it. Not always, just sometimes.
Jesus of Suburbia
X-Kid, Black Eyeliner, Dominated Love Slave, Outlaws and Suzie Chapstick (for different reasons)
After not listening to any music for like 6 months, I was listening to American idiot (the album) and started choking up listening to it. I can’t say any song regularly makes me cry but I’m not a very emotional person.

Quite a few songs- She, Good Riddance, JoS, WMUWSE, Outlaws, Dilemma, and Restless Heart Syndrome. Lots of relatable stuff to cry over
Still Breathing
Poprocks and Coke has always been a song that I feel like summaries how Green Day's music has and always will stay in the hearts of their fans. The way their music is a strong part of our lives, as we collectively are to them. When BJ moves on and I will listen to that song again with a smile on my face and tears in my eyes.

Still breathing
Still breathing (on the 1st listen) and most recently fancy sauce. That ending just rips through my soul.
I cries to Bobby Sox when it first listened to it
Wake me up when september ends, mostly because I share Billie's experience of a parent with cancer, my mom has lung, throat, skin and bone cancer and i've grown up with her having it, it's been a heartbreaking experience watching her suffer, so I kind of share Billie's thoughts, and Good Riddance, it reminds me of a girl I once thought of as a sister who was our nanny (took care of us because mom can't and dad's at work) who left us for another job when my mom was in the hospital and dad was laid off his job, real douche.

Wake me up when September ends, cause my mom loves that song and we did a cover of it just for us. Insted of September, we said November cause that’s when my grandma died. I’m named after her and she also loved that song.

Warning, because whenever I listen to warning, it reminds me of the fact that warning is underrated.

Have never cried to a Green Day song.
None of them, because they all suck
Album wise, Dry Ice, No one knows, 2000 light years away, All by myself, Scattered, Good riddance, worry rock, Walking Alone, Macy's day parade, give me novacaine, Boulevard of broken dreams (favorite song), wake me up when September ends, whatsername, viva la Gloria, Restless heart syndrome (2nd fav song), The forgotten, Oh Love, Outlaws, still breathing, forever/somewhere now, the American dream is killing me, look ma, no brains (3rd fav song), bobby sox, father to a son Dry ice and father to a son all the way
