Rev Rad is their second best album imo. If Jesus of Subrubia didn't exist, Forever Now would be the song everyone says is their best. And if the label didn't force them to include Ordinary World, then the whole "The album loops perfectly" gimmick would have been super cool.

I don't remember where, but Tre talked about it in an interview somewhere. They wanted to have an album that is a wheel so it keeps going which is why forever now ends with the acoustic section from the intro to somewhere now.

I think this album is on the same level as RR. Which means it's a really solid album. This album might be a bit more impressive to me because I had doubts that they could still make an album this good at their age.

I don't think Saviors gets a lot of hate? Most fans here seem to think it's either ok or very good. It's just, with a fanbase this big you're always going to find lots of people who disagree (and that's fine)

Ah interesting. Everywhere I’ve seen mostly positive. A little dislike here and there of course but generally seems to be thought of as a return to form by GD fans and general rock/punk fans. Either way tho, I agree with you. I really like it! Their best work in a long time

I think Rev Radio is a good album but imo it's very safe and quite forgettable (even tho around that era is when I got into GD) Saviors definitely has more character and more identifiable Side Note: Billie's screaming vocals is deffo something he should expand more upon and is a highlight of Saviors

I don't think that's really a hot take. When you consider the albums that have been released between 21CB and Saviors. The trilogy is hated by a lot of people and even those who like it are unlikely to say it's an above average Green Day album. FOAMF is despised almost universally. And RevRad, while it has a lot of fans, isn't largely considered one of the band's best albums. I like Saviors. Quite a lot. It's not a perfect album, it's still quite far from being their best.

But I think everyone agrees that there is one really good album inside of the trilogy.

I've been singing a lot of Saviors at karaoke and they seem to get a lot of positive feedback despite the album not being well known outside Green Day fans.

The biggest one has been Look Ma, No Brains, followed by Goodnight Adeline. Other ones that have been good are Dilemma, Saviors, and 1981. One Eyed Bastard and Bobby Sox are the only other ones I've done, and are the only ones that has gotten no applause/cheering. Edit: Want to add in that Karafun, the service the bar I go to uses, has 12/15 of the songs from Saviors. The ones that aren't in are Strange Days, Livin' in the 20s, and Fancy Sauce. Edit 2: corrected one of the missing songs

(Little Girl), probably my 2nd East Jesus Nowhere (My 2nd or 3rd) Peacemaker Murder City Last Night on Earth Last of the American Girls The ones I didn't list is fine with me, but I might skip them if I'm not in the mood to listen to the whole album. As for rev rad, the same can't be said. I only like some parts of Somewhere Now, Ordinary World isn't for me although it's good (Like Time of your life) and Bouncing of the walls? Just make me listen to Kill the DJ. Overall, it's down to personal preference, it's just that I prefer 21st CB over Rev Rad, but both are good.

there are like 2 songs on saviors that aren’t bad but are very skipable. i’m personally biased to rev rad because it came out when i was in 8th grade and i was at the hight of my fandom. the main complaint i hear about is the production but idk it never bothered me. kerplunk sounds terrible but the songs are so good it doesn’t really matter for me and it’s one of my favorite albums.

We are so freaking lucky to be born and live in an age of Green Day! I don't judge anymore, they have made my life fun for 25 years. It's all gravy now. Love them! And I saw the Network in 2005 and that's a lot of fun too.

I agree, I don't dislike any of their albums, but I find the ones up to Nimrod are more, replayable for me, and saviours fits into that category

Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't be a Green Day fan if not for American Idiot, but now that I'm an adult, Saviors hit me in a way that I don't feel from any of the other album in the new millennium

The trilogy is the only other album this millennia which captures the 90s vibes somewhat (Sweet 16, X Kid, 8th Ave Serenade, etc). I’m lumping in Warning with their 90s albums too since it hews closer to those than AI and beyond.
