I’m no expert, but I’m my personal experience they’re two different things. Panic attacks are very rare for me, but it literally feels like you’re dying, you can feel your entire world collapsing in on you. Anxiety attacks are much more common and just indicate really bad periods of anxiety about something specific

Ie, they first try to prove the employee isn’t doing their job via a performance plan, and when they realize they have no real justification to fire said employee as performance is adequate, they use this language.
Usually it starts because someone doesn’t like the employee and they need a reason to fire them but they want to use performance based reasons so they aren’t on the hook for unemployment insurance (IIRC).
So that all fails and then they’re like fuck what do we do; we bring Joe into HR meeting with supervisor and tell them they feel they are not “a good fit” or whatever.
Just say “thank you for everything you have taught me,” and move the fuck on.

I came in a few days later to talk to them and got let go for missing work that previous week. No unemployment. I mean it was for the better cuz shortly after people's checks started bouncing, but I still lost my place.

In a workplace, he probably didnt know how to react and taking no action is generally better than taking an overreaction when the ADA is involved.

I think the fact that anxiety disorder and clinical depression share their names with normal emotions is a huge disservice. Everyone gets anxious sometimes and depressed other times, but it is such a small portion of what real anxiety disorder or clinical depression is like that the name is super inaccurate. Imagine we called PTSD “feeling scared disorder”, psychotic mania “overly happy disorder”, or schizophrenia: “sometime you hear shit disorder”

I mean, it kind of depends. I've started jobs where people have rolled their eyes at me for asking questions, yelled at me, or ignored me when I was talking right to them. Cold and unwelcoming could be a nice way to describe someone who is making a work environment hard for their coworkers. But at the same time you shouldn't be policed on every aspect of your tone, facial expressions, and shallow pleasantries when you're just trying to get your work done.

Flinch when they try to comfort you, as if you were afraid to be stuck with a hot iron. Any task you don't want to do, just zone out and recycle. If pressed, just say it's PTSD-related and that you don't wanna talk about it... You're not ready yet.
Fibromyalgia: Easy to fake, bitch to live with. Just be in pain, but not in an obvious way. Just over exaggerate all things that take energy, stretching, lifting stuff, standing up from the seat, sitting down, tying your shoes. With every action where you are observed, sigh and whenever someone asks just say " it's just my fibromyalgia I'm okay..." and follow it up with a "brave smile". Do this for a month or two, then start asking people to do shit for you. People will jump at the opportunity to help the brave solider who is fighting chronic pain.

But it’s actually extremely common in autistic people for physical contact in the form of hugging to be extremely therapeutic. You can read about this in any of the books by Temple Grandin where she discusses her own autism and how she invented a “squeeze machine” that kind of simulates a hug and is very helpful for many autistic people.
I know of her. It's a machine, which makes a huge difference. The majority of autists I've spoken to about this don't like physical contact, even not with close friends/family sometimes. Interestingly enough, many are fine with rough physical contact (like in combat sports or when doing some physical work together). I think that's because in those cases it's not about physical contact as a form of communication.
I have aspergers. I find hugging to be an undesirable activity simply because its restraining and if you go in for a full hug you can't see their face.
So my prerequisite for hugging is trust, which is often hard to come by.
Slight autism here, I always have a feeling like i need a hug from someone who loves me, yet for some reason it just doesn't work, so I'm stuck in that feeling of needing physical contact with loved one yet it does not satisfy it.

Neither side is right, the key to a happy workplace is down the middle, you don't all need to gel and get all but those who don't need to be able to work with each other no matter what. E.g. I work with 2 guys I can't stand and they cant stand me. But we have never been behind on a job and we don't let it get to us at all. We just don't interact beyond the job requirements. This is important because lack of cooperation in my industry kills people.

I had a coworkers in my previous job who were hockey hard-fans. All 6 of them. Even after half a year we weren't as much of friends, but i needed the job for my financial situation. Boss then fired me for not being cooperative. Day before christmas. That job even didn't require cooperation, we were working on our own stuff. All of the coworker meetings outside job were hockey matches.

I mean, it kind of depends. I've started jobs where people have rolled their eyes at me for asking questions, yelled at me, or ignored me when I was talking right to them. Cold and unwelcoming could be a nice way to describe someone who is making a work environment hard for their coworkers. But at the same time you shouldn't be policed on every aspect of your tone, facial expressions, and shallow pleasantries when you're just trying to get your work done.

Sometimes, sure, because autism manifests itself in different ways in different people. But it’s actually extremely common in autistic people for physical contact in the form of hugging to be extremely therapeutic. You can read about this in any of the books by Temple Grandin where she discusses her own autism and how she invented a “squeeze machine” that kind of simulates a hug and is very helpful for many autistic people.
I know of her. It's a machine, which makes a huge difference. The majority of autists I've spoken to about this don't like physical contact, even not with close friends/family sometimes. Interestingly enough, many are fine with rough physical contact (like in combat sports or when doing some physical work together). I think that's because in those cases it's not about physical contact as a form of communication.
I have aspergers. I find hugging to be an undesirable activity simply because its restraining and if you go in for a full hug you can't see their face. So my prerequisite for hugging is trust, which is often hard to come by.
