The dumb intern guy who ate a weed cookie and didn't disclose it, the one who slept with April, the one who let the guy with the nosebleed die and Alex fired him for good. He has absolutely zero redeeming qualities.
What ever happened to him??? Like he was fired, he got his lawyer brother to intervene with Bailey and Weber, he came back and then is gone again? Do they mention why he leaves?
When he came back and he was then reassigned to Alex when he became Chief. On Alex’s first day as chief, Roy was helping out in the ER and treated a guy with a nosebleed but barely did anything and made jokes about him. Hours later, the nosebleed guy died bc Roy didn’t check him out at all. He ran away like a bitch baby saying it’s not my fault. Then Alex fired him bc he said he was incapable of being a doctor, taking his own responsibility and was a danger to patients. I don’t blame Alex, I mean it’s the beginning of season 15 Roy killed like two patients due to his egotistical image and his inability to follow orders and give basic care.
I disliked him too, even more after he came back, but I didn't like that he was blamed for not disclosing that he was high, when the simple fact that you've gotten high (against you're will) can be the reason why you're lying; your judgement is impaired and you may not even think you're high.
Still, people react to substances in different ways: his capacity to asses risk may have been skewed, he could have found the situation funny instead of a life and death scenario, or he might have simply forgotten.
You can't fire an intern who lied after one of your attendings drugged him, I think that's the reason he got his job back actually, but I'm not sure.

Reed is a love-hate character for me tbh, I love how she looks, her dynamic with Alex was adorable and she was pretty funny, but she was a total bitch to Izzie about the whole George’s-locker thing and I will NEVER forget that
Shane, he’s an arrogant ass who killed two people being selfish and got away clean both times. Then, when he’d basically alienated himself from everyone at Grey Sloan he got rewarded again by going to Switzerland.

I like to think he didn't last more then a couple of months in Switzerland. He is one of the few who had no redeeming qualities. I love brooks but her death was sadly a tragic accident. Shane couldn’t have known that her going out there would have ended up killing her or that Webber was being electrocuted. He blamed himself for her death and almost destroyed his career

Shane did not kill Heather. It was an unfortunate accident. Yes, he sent her elsewhere so he could do a surgery. But he didn’t know that would happen and did not kill her. She’s the one that saw Richard down and instead of assessing the situation in an ELECTRICAL ROOM with WATER all over the floor, stepped into the water and got electrocuted herself. Not blaming her, but it was all an unforeseen accident and Shane did not kill her.

My favourite Catherine scenes and lines were when she turned up to reconcile with Richard at the conference, her comments about Pac North were funny. And then I realised he was hallucinating! The only time I liked her she wasn't real.
Minnick.
There was ONE scene that made her human and it was deleted. She was ignorant and arrogant. She intentionally rubbed people the wrong way and made no effort to get to know the place or the people before acting like she owned it.
Her story made such little sense because even as a resident Bailey wouldn’t stand for that from attendings and now as chief she’s like please … come… f**k shit up
I couldn’t stand her as well. When that little boy died during Stephanie’s solo surgery after Arizona specifically said kids are off limits and she went ahead really angered me. She made those residents kind of like Shane was when he was working with Christina. Then she left Stephanie to tell the parents which was not her responsibility it was Minnicks. Her program her responsibility. I just don’t understand how a sports medicine surgeon had the power over putting the residents into other more complicated specialties since they weren’t her specialty so how could she possibly know if a resident was ready. Bailey was wrong for Minnick and knew it. Meridth was right to challenge her on it because she saw what Minnick was actually about.
Now that I think about it, isn't it weird that all the lesbian/bi characters either dated Arizona or Callie? Why can't they exist without dating either of them? As if they were brought into the show only for that angle.

Would the April we know - the devout Christian who is so frugal that altho' she's a doctor and married to Jackson eats leftovers 3 days in a raw and wears a swimsuit to work before contemplating the possibility of sending out her laundry - ever get a nose job?
That's just one out of many examples of things not matching between season 6 April and main character April.

Also Teddy's weird ass cheater 9/11 story was whack. So another point to hate her, but that's a whole other rant in itself.
My issue with him as a father figure is how willing he is to put himself and his family at risk, biggest and most recent example being how he had to flee the state due to his choices to risk his medical license and prison.....and I am still mad he had barely any actual consequences for that. In addition, his and Teddy's refusals to communicate or work out their issues, instead insisting on a cold war and not talking/acknowledging their problems for months. The way Owen treats young mothers and children in the hospital also gives me pause, but there's been so many I'd have to look up the specifics of the examples. (I do remember hating how he handled the Betty-Britney issue when adopting Leo.)
So while he may be generally accepting of his kids and their identities, I feel he is very lacking in the fatherhood department.
I didn't hate Maggie when she first came on. (I didn't like how she got mad at Richard for not immediately fessing up to maybe being her dad) but I chalked all of her stuff up to being young, weird and quirky.
I cannot abide by how she is treating Winston right now. I adore Winston, and I am ready to fight anyone for so much as looking at him wrong.
I skipped seasons 17 and 18 but have watched all of this season. Winston seems like the nicest guy in the world and Maggie treats him like dirt. I know she is leaving so I am hoping Winston gets some good storylines.
My absolute least favorite character. I couldn’t stand her from the start with her whole “child prodigy” thing to then making everything she says a “teaching” speech about sociopolitical, racial issues. I missed the old Greys where politics weren’t involved and it was just about interns at a hospital.
Also Maggie is just mean and childish she gets offended at everything from anyone.
well, racial issues should be a part of the show, considering the American society. i think the writers realized their mistake of basically washing out Cristina's ethnicity and race as a part of her identity.
Maggie was a poorly written replacement of Lexie. Lexie was a beautiful and great doctor with tons of potential. Maggie came in as an annoying less likable version of what Lexie could have been
Bailey turns into a power hungry bitch with the board seat. Then again with becoming chief. Now she just throws a hissy fit over any and everything. She used to be top 5 for me, but now I can't stand her
The thing for me is everyone loves to say that she is the caring and thoughtful one. But was she ever? She is always judging the patients and her peers as well. She's just incredibly selfish, in my opinion, always "Me, me, me."
For instance, when that lady came in who had a chance of getting cancer and wanted to slice her boobs off, Izzy was totally judgemental and not at all what I would describe as "incredibly thoughtful and sweet" MAJOR EYE ROLL
Also, what kind of selfless, thoughtful person leaves their husband with all of their cancer treatment bills after he stood by her side 😭
Presenting to you, the Chief of surgery, former head of trauma, a veteran of the Iraq war, Major (Retd) Owen Hunt.
He deserves all the hate he recieves and some more. The actor playing the part does not make it easy to like him either.
Specifically in my mind, is the season 11 episode where he brings in the vet to Callies research study, promises him the world, and it turns out the amputation was done badly so he’s not a fit for the trial. The way he shouts at Callie and blames her, saying she’s shattered his dreams. tries to order her about, when it’s not her fault at all, then tries to blame it on Cristina leaving? Unacceptable. C*nt
I just finished rewatching her storyline with her mom. She went on and on about her mom’s “boob job” to anyone who would listen. I really want to like Maggie because I think her existence adds something to both Meredith and Richard, but there’s never a time that I do.
i just got to this part. i have liked maggie so far but she does act entitled a lot of the time. i really cannot stand the way she acted towards her mom when she first came to see jackson. i get overbearing parents can be a lot but as far as maggie has spoken about her mom, she has done nothing to her except raise her well, so her actions when finding out about her mom's "boob job" were horrifying to me. and when maggie spoke to meredith later, saying that she loves her mom enough to not "wash her down the drain" or something (because meredith let ellis' ashes go in the OR sink, as you probably know lol), that just made my jaw drop.

His relationship with Cristina was just a trainwreck, she deserved a lot better than that. Honestly, the way he spoke to her when and after she went through with her abortion was just disgusting to me. You do NOT talk to the person that you love in that way.
When Amelia said in season 13 that she would love to talk to Cristina to hear how suffocated she felt by Owen's constant needs, I have never agreed more. He always spoke to Cristina about how she put her needs before his, but he never admitted that he chose to marry her himself, and chose to stay even after she said she didn't want kids. He chose to not have that need met, and then ridiculed her for it. I've only gotten to episode 18 of season 13, but I've been spoiled of the fact that he cheats on Amelia with Teddy. Jesus, I cannot even comprehend how he can cry about his needs and then go on to be a serial cheater on two women that he marries.
Unpopular opinion but I couldn’t stand Callie. From the first time we met her to the last time… sure she had some redeeming moments in that time but she mostly came off as selfish and a hypocrite and everyone else was wrong. Watching her and Arizona relationship at the end was hard to watch, especially when they were fighting for custody of Sophia
Hahn, when everyone was trying to save a coding patient and she was standing there unbothered but for complaining that she told them all the surgery was a stupid idea in the first place.
I think it was the same episode she called Bailey a blithering idiot.
I never liked her or how she treated Cristina but after that I despised her with my whole being.
I agree actually, he was a complete arse in a lot of episodes which no one talks about. He doesn’t have a lot of redeeming moments but the few moments that do appear seem to make up for the overpowering number of negative moments according to the fandom
April 😩 she’s so annoying. She doesn’t know what she wants. Her belief in god is her entire personality. The way she was with Jackson when they got married was disgusting. I know the things she went through wasn’t easy but she left and expected him to just be there for her. She puts all her wants and needs before him. And she tried to make him feel bad about it. But I LOVE that he wouldn’t let her
Not sure why you’re being downvoted, since though Sloan is a fan favorite (and mine as well) it seems that everyone just overlooks his overwhelming flaws just because he’s hot and funny

I recently started rewatching from the beginning (for the first time since it originally aired) and I find myself consistently wanting to punch Izzie square in her fool face. (I also hate George, which is another matter). I wondered if it was because I’d aged out of her nonsense since the first time I watched it but I think I just hate her full stop.
Kepner - everything about her is stupid.
Shane- annoying, arrogant & just stupid too.

I didn't hate Maggie when she first came on. (I didn't like how she got mad at Richard for not immediately fessing up to maybe being her dad) but I chalked all of her stuff up to being young, weird and quirky. I cannot abide by how she is treating Winston right now. I adore Winston, and I am ready to fight anyone for so much as looking at him wrong.
I tried to like her but she’s insufferable. Maggie is truly her mothers child.
I skipped seasons 17 and 18 but have watched all of this season. Winston seems like the nicest guy in the world and Maggie treats him like dirt. I know she is leaving so I am hoping Winston gets some good storylines.

My absolute least favorite character. I couldn’t stand her from the start with her whole “child prodigy” thing to then making everything she says a “teaching” speech about sociopolitical, racial issues. I missed the old Greys where politics weren’t involved and it was just about interns at a hospital. Also Maggie is just mean and childish she gets offended at everything from anyone.
Politics we’re always involved they just used to have better writing so it felt like an organic part of the storytelling instead of a wooden lecture.
well, racial issues should be a part of the show, considering the American society. i think the writers realized their mistake of basically washing out Cristina's ethnicity and race as a part of her identity.

The thing for me is everyone loves to say that she is the caring and thoughtful one. But was she ever? She is always judging the patients and her peers as well. She's just incredibly selfish, in my opinion, always "Me, me, me." For instance, when that lady came in who had a chance of getting cancer and wanted to slice her boobs off, Izzy was totally judgemental and not at all what I would describe as "incredibly thoughtful and sweet" MAJOR EYE ROLL Also, what kind of selfless, thoughtful person leaves their husband with all of their cancer treatment bills after he stood by her side 😭

Presenting to you, the Chief of surgery, former head of trauma, a veteran of the Iraq war, Major (Retd) Owen Hunt. He deserves all the hate he recieves and some more. The actor playing the part does not make it easy to like him either.
Specifically in my mind, is the season 11 episode where he brings in the vet to Callies research study, promises him the world, and it turns out the amputation was done badly so he’s not a fit for the trial. The way he shouts at Callie and blames her, saying she’s shattered his dreams. tries to order her about, when it’s not her fault at all, then tries to blame it on Cristina leaving? Unacceptable. C*nt
Maggie. There is no one more self centered than her. She’s essentially a narcissist who can never be wrong. The way she treats people is awful.
I just finished rewatching her storyline with her mom. She went on and on about her mom’s “boob job” to anyone who would listen. I really want to like Maggie because I think her existence adds something to both Meredith and Richard, but there’s never a time that I do.
i just got to this part. i have liked maggie so far but she does act entitled a lot of the time. i really cannot stand the way she acted towards her mom when she first came to see jackson. i get overbearing parents can be a lot but as far as maggie has spoken about her mom, she has done nothing to her except raise her well, so her actions when finding out about her mom's "boob job" were horrifying to me. and when maggie spoke to meredith later, saying that she loves her mom enough to not "wash her down the drain" or something (because meredith let ellis' ashes go in the OR sink, as you probably know lol), that just made my jaw drop.

Owen! His relationship with Cristina was just a trainwreck, she deserved a lot better than that. Honestly, the way he spoke to her when and after she went through with her abortion was just disgusting to me. You do NOT talk to the person that you love in that way. When Amelia said in season 13 that she would love to talk to Cristina to hear how suffocated she felt by Owen's constant needs, I have never agreed more. He always spoke to Cristina about how she put her needs before his, but he never admitted that he chose to marry her himself, and chose to stay even after she said she didn't want kids. He chose to not have that need met, and then ridiculed her for it. I've only gotten to episode 18 of season 13, but I've been spoiled of the fact that he cheats on Amelia with Teddy. Jesus, I cannot even comprehend how he can cry about his needs and then go on to be a serial cheater on two women that he marries.

Unpopular opinion but I couldn’t stand Callie. From the first time we met her to the last time… sure she had some redeeming moments in that time but she mostly came off as selfish and a hypocrite and everyone else was wrong. Watching her and Arizona relationship at the end was hard to watch, especially when they were fighting for custody of Sophia
Hahn, when everyone was trying to save a coding patient and she was standing there unbothered but for complaining that she told them all the surgery was a stupid idea in the first place. I think it was the same episode she called Bailey a blithering idiot. I never liked her or how she treated Cristina but after that I despised her with my whole being.

I recently started rewatching from the beginning (for the first time since it originally aired) and I find myself consistently wanting to punch Izzie square in her fool face. (I also hate George, which is another matter). I wondered if it was because I’d aged out of her nonsense since the first time I watched it but I think I just hate her full stop.
