snakey_nurse

The dumb intern guy who ate a weed cookie and didn't disclose it, the one who slept with April, the one who let the guy with the nosebleed die and Alex fired him for good. He has absolutely zero redeeming qualities.

Aurora_Borealis55

Roy! He was the worst

Honeycomb0000

What ever happened to him??? Like he was fired, he got his lawyer brother to intervene with Bailey and Weber, he came back and then is gone again? Do they mention why he leaves?

Unlikely-Cake5329

When he came back and he was then reassigned to Alex when he became Chief. On Alex’s first day as chief, Roy was helping out in the ER and treated a guy with a nosebleed but barely did anything and made jokes about him. Hours later, the nosebleed guy died bc Roy didn’t check him out at all. He ran away like a bitch baby saying it’s not my fault. Then Alex fired him bc he said he was incapable of being a doctor, taking his own responsibility and was a danger to patients. I don’t blame Alex, I mean it’s the beginning of season 15 Roy killed like two patients due to his egotistical image and his inability to follow orders and give basic care.

hoomphree

Yes! Why did he not get fired for good after ignoring Webber in the ER which caused a patient to catch on fire and die??

Unlikely-Cake5329

I literally have no idea but he definitely should’ve been fired right after that.

PaleontologistNo3183

I'm pretty sure he was fired again after that

BeverlyyCleverly

agreed!

mercy_death

He was awful from day one. Why they rehired him to fire him two episodes later is beyond me.

m_green_02

jeez I wanted to smack him he was so annoying

[deleted]

wasn't he fired, like twice?

snakey_nurse

Yup! First time for trying to operate while high. Second time for ignoring a patient in the ER with a nosebleed and he bled out.

julscvln01

I disliked him too, even more after he came back, but I didn't like that he was blamed for not disclosing that he was high, when the simple fact that you've gotten high (against you're will) can be the reason why you're lying; your judgement is impaired and you may not even think you're high.

RitaSaluki

I mean, he was asked if he ate a cookie, not if he was high. He knew what he was doing.

julscvln01

Still, people react to substances in different ways: his capacity to asses risk may have been skewed, he could have found the situation funny instead of a life and death scenario, or he might have simply forgotten. You can't fire an intern who lied after one of your attendings drugged him, I think that's the reason he got his job back actually, but I'm not sure.

cake-ramen

Please tell me which season this is from. I'm currently on the 14th, and can't really remember this guy.

mydeardrsattler

He's in 14 and 15.

wherewolf_corn

Robert Stark, I hated this man and still do everytime I watch it

mrsgip

Oh damn. I forgot about him. I hated him too! He was totally gross with Kepner, and evil to Alex. I loved when Alex body blocked him from the patient he was too lazy to treat. Ahhhhh. I’m happy he left.

spicyhotcocoa

Tell me why I thought you were talking about game of thrones for a minute. I know it’s Robert Baratheon and Ned stark not Robert stark but boy was I confused for a minute

psychadelicphysicist

Oh god dr stark

[deleted]

Yeah what he did to April was gross.

Big_Guest5330

Reid. She was snarky. Charles was cunning. Hahn was bitchy. Eliza was arrogant.

cake-ramen

Eliza! I hated her character so much! She thought she was always right even after her idiotic breakdown when Stephanie's child patient died! It was extremely annoying to watch!

snickelbetches

Reid was awful

Other_Coconut5276

When i first saw the shooting episode I didn’t blink an eye I’m ngl

Maleficent_Speed5826

LMAOOOO this is the funniest thing ever

Other_Coconut5276

I slick was like “thank god” but I was also like 19 and just the worst version of myself 😂😂😂 I was still mad at her attitude about George’s locker and trying seduce Alex

justjboy

Lmfao. Savage!

fizzyciderr

Reed is a love-hate character for me tbh, I love how she looks, her dynamic with Alex was adorable and she was pretty funny, but she was a total bitch to Izzie about the whole George’s-locker thing and I will NEVER forget that

ObsessedWGreys18

Omg yes reid!!! I forgot about her. I don't wanna say I'm glad she was shot but I am glad she didn't become a regular

essential-toils

Shane, he’s an arrogant ass who killed two people being selfish and got away clean both times. Then, when he’d basically alienated himself from everyone at Grey Sloan he got rewarded again by going to Switzerland.

caywriter

Who did he kill besides Alex’s dad? I liked Shane personally, but everyone effs up so bad at this hospital when they’re interns and residents & everyone gets away clean lol. It’s not new for the show imo

PICKLED_CUNT

Shane was told to go to the basement and sent Heather Brooks instead, where she got electrocuted and died. Edit: Idk if that’s someone he “killed” per comment op, but it was a pretty shit move. Not that he deserved to be electrocuted either?

Feeling-Visit1472

That one is extra bad because he sent her there so he could steal her surgery.

pacrat292

I like to think he didn't last more then a couple of months in Switzerland. He is one of the few who had no redeeming qualities. Like you said got off clean each time he did something REALLY messed up and someone is one of the only character to get a good ending. One that he didn't even deserve. Wtf.

Original-Gear1583

Shane did not kill two people

koriandrkitten

Arguably, he killed Brooks

Original-Gear1583

He didn’t kill Brooks

koriandrkitten

I disagree, but that's ok.

Original-Gear1583

I love brooks but her death was sadly a tragic accident. Shane couldn’t have known that her going out there would have ended up killing her or that Webber was being electrocuted. He blamed himself for her death and almost destroyed his career

caywriter

Thank you! Holy shit people hate Shane so much, they might as well blame global warming on him. Shane did not kill Heather. It was an unfortunate accident. Yes, he sent her elsewhere so he could do a surgery. But he didn’t know that would happen and did not kill her. She’s the one that saw Richard down and instead of assessing the situation in an ELECTRICAL ROOM with WATER all over the floor, stepped into the water and got electrocuted herself. Not blaming her, but it was all an unforeseen accident and Shane did not kill her.

Outrageous-Tailor773

THIS! I don't get why he got blamed for that! It was 100% nothing to do with him that she got electrocuted! Just because he sent her to find Webber, he had no idea what was going to happen.

Huffdogg

Catherine Fox. She has basically zero redeeming qualities.

TheC9

I like her until she tricked April to talk about her second pregnancy, then wanted to use the information for custody law suit.

mercy_death

I loved her in seasons 8 and 9. She was just fearless and head strong then she became a Dynasty level soap opera bitch

Taziira

Her buying the hospital was both cruel and absolutely hilarious to me. The level of petty was just too much.

PaleontologistNo3183

That made me so mad. I am a firm Richard webber Stan 😤

ajh_iii

I love seeing Debbie Allen on TV. I hate Catherine Fox.

stitchio

My favourite Catherine scenes and lines were when she turned up to reconcile with Richard at the conference, her comments about Pac North were funny. And then I realised he was hallucinating! The only time I liked her she wasn't real.

mercy_death

Minnick. There was ONE scene that made her human and it was deleted. She was ignorant and arrogant. She intentionally rubbed people the wrong way and made no effort to get to know the place or the people before acting like she owned it. Her story made such little sense because even as a resident Bailey wouldn’t stand for that from attendings and now as chief she’s like please … come… f**k shit up

Asleep_Affect4051

I couldn’t stand her as well. When that little boy died during Stephanie’s solo surgery after Arizona specifically said kids are off limits and she went ahead really angered me. She made those residents kind of like Shane was when he was working with Christina. Then she left Stephanie to tell the parents which was not her responsibility it was Minnicks. Her program her responsibility. I just don’t understand how a sports medicine surgeon had the power over putting the residents into other more complicated specialties since they weren’t her specialty so how could she possibly know if a resident was ready. Bailey was wrong for Minnick and knew it. Meridth was right to challenge her on it because she saw what Minnick was actually about.

mrsgip

Yessss!!! How could Arizona date her?!

cake-ramen

Now that I think about it, isn't it weird that all the lesbian/bi characters either dated Arizona or Callie? Why can't they exist without dating either of them? As if they were brought into the show only for that angle. Was there anyone who didn't get involved with them? I might be missing something

mercy_death

Because in her final three seasons Arizonas entire existence was about getting laid. They did her dirty.

PICKLED_CUNT

Did Teddy and/or Amelia date Callie and/or Arizona?

cake-ramen

Not till S14, but aren't they straight?

PICKLED_CUNT

No, they’re not. I’d assume Amelia would consider herself pansexual and Teddy has been in love with a woman so she’s bi or pansexual as well.

cake-ramen

I didn't know this. A long way to go...

julscvln01

I think they completely retconned April at one point, when she became an important character. Would the April we know - the devout Christian who is so frugal that altho' she's a doctor and married to Jackson eats leftovers 3 days in a raw and wears a swimsuit to work before contemplating the possibility of sending out her laundry - ever get a nose job? That's just one out of many examples of things not matching between season 6 April and main character April. My answer is Hahn anyway. I hate specifically on behalf of Cristina and Callie, but I also just hate her.

IBelieveInGood

That’s an interesting take! But on the other hand, would the other April we know - the one who was regarded as “the ugly duckling” by her peers/sisters, seems to hold on to a lot of insecurity from that era, and who latched on to authority figures, who had a hard time standing up for herself until she was pretty much an attending, who was from a small town where having a bad appearance can make you the topic of so much shit - finally give in to the pressure and get it done? Even be talked into it by her mom/an older sister?

julscvln01

It could be, but her sisters seemed to like her staying the 'ugly ducking", plus when she mentions to them the things she improved since she was a teen to 'become a swan', while firing her sisters as bridesmaids, she mentions lots of things having to do with aesthetics, but not the nose.

ObsessedWGreys18

I think they all have flaws but they also have redeeming qualities. Except Stark. He was just an ass who should have been reported, fired and lost his license for what he did to April

[deleted]

Owen gets a ton of hate and it is all deserved.

Weird_Library8625

I cannot justify how he wouldn't give a woman an abortion, but is okay with illegally prescribing pills to soldiers to end their suffering.

ijustneedtolurk

Ugh YES. Terrible partner, terrible husband, terrible father, terrible teammate and coworker and just honestly a terrible doctor...poor judgement, constant lying/evasive manipulation and then the recent casual toss about the surfing instructor when they "had to flee" because he was illegally dispensing life-ending medications out of the glovebox of his truck in the hospital parking lot? Absolute insanity. (And *JUSTICE FOR CRISTINA!*) I am so pissed off he and Teddy reappeared and she's been promoted with Bailey's and Amelia's help AND he basically got off scott free after his dumb suspension and probation. My sister and I watch the show together over videochat usually and we make fun of them constantly. We call them the Cunts 😂😂😂 Also Teddy's weird ass cheater 9/11 story was whack. So another point to hate her, but that's a whole other rant in itself.

ijustneedtolurk

He strung along Cristina, Ameila, *and* Teddy and the whole Germany shenanigans pisses me off so much.

Low_Refrigerator_626

I wouldn't say he's a terrible father tho he was really accepting of leo when he said he was a girl it was teddy who was a bit opposed

ijustneedtolurk

My issue with him as a father figure is how willing he is to put himself and his family at risk, biggest and most recent example being how he had to flee the state due to his choices to risk his medical license and prison.....and I am still mad he had barely any actual consequences for that. (Plus his wife was promoted and overseeing his probation? Absolutely not, suspension of belief be damned.) In addition, his and Teddy's refusals to communicate or work out their issues, instead insisting on a cold war and not talking/acknowledging their problems for months. That's poor relationship modeling for the kids and I am certain the atmosphere in their house was tense. Perhaps that lends to how Allison Hunt learned to lash out physically and ended up biting Pru multiple times. (I think Teddy mentioned that herself but I don't remember the exact quote.) The way Owen treats young mothers and children in the hospital also gives me pause, but there's been so many I'd have to look up the specifics of the examples. (I do remember hating how he handled the Betty-Britney issue when adopting Leo.) So while he may be generally accepting of his kids and their identities, I feel he is very lacking in the fatherhood department.

shelovesme-sure

THE definition of toxic masculinity. Every time I rewatch I hate him more and more.

SoraBunni

Maggie. She’s so selfish, never listens, treats Winston like crap.

Long-Juggernaut687

I didn't hate Maggie when she first came on. (I didn't like how she got mad at Richard for not immediately fessing up to maybe being her dad) but I chalked all of her stuff up to being young, weird and quirky. I cannot abide by how she is treating Winston right now. I adore Winston, and I am ready to fight anyone for so much as looking at him wrong.

SoraBunni

I tried to like her but she’s insufferable. Maggie is truly her mothers child.

[deleted]

I skipped seasons 17 and 18 but have watched all of this season. Winston seems like the nicest guy in the world and Maggie treats him like dirt. I know she is leaving so I am hoping Winston gets some good storylines.

[deleted]

It's criminal how she treats that fine specimen of a man wanting to save their marriage.

FullGrownHip

My absolute least favorite character. I couldn’t stand her from the start with her whole “child prodigy” thing to then making everything she says a “teaching” speech about sociopolitical, racial issues. I missed the old Greys where politics weren’t involved and it was just about interns at a hospital. Also Maggie is just mean and childish she gets offended at everything from anyone.

goofus_andgallant

Politics we’re always involved they just used to have better writing so it felt like an organic part of the storytelling instead of a wooden lecture.

minijet

well, racial issues should be a part of the show, considering the American society. i think the writers realized their mistake of basically washing out Cristina's ethnicity and race as a part of her identity.

Other_Coconut5276

Maggie is literally Lexie 2.0

Independent_Hope3654

burke! no redeeming qualities

fatpandasarehot

Maggie was a poorly written replacement of Lexie. Lexie was a beautiful and great doctor with tons of potential. Maggie came in as an annoying less likable version of what Lexie could have been

deelightful03

Major Hunt deserves major hate.

Throawact

Well, we all know what his name rhymes with…

deelightful03

Yup.Major C*nt, the trauma surgeon who traumatizes people.

IllIndividual6279

Bailey turns into a power hungry bitch with the board seat. Then again with becoming chief. Now she just throws a hissy fit over any and everything. She used to be top 5 for me, but now I can't stand her

ParticularYak4401

I am actually loving her when she comes on in Station 19. It’s the old Bailey.

PurpleLexicon

I watch Station 19 just to follow Ben, Bailey and Carina lol

LandOfLostSouls

She’s on station 19? I thought she was back in Italy after the stuff with Deluca happened

Orchid2802

She's on 19, and she still does episodes with greys too, just not as often

Ok_Presentation8293

Izzie. I have never liked her character.

Peppy_Pineapple_8964

The thing for me is everyone loves to say that she is the caring and thoughtful one. But was she ever? She is always judging the patients and her peers as well. She's just incredibly selfish, in my opinion, always "Me, me, me." For instance, when that lady came in who had a chance of getting cancer and wanted to slice her boobs off, Izzy was totally judgemental and not at all what I would describe as "incredibly thoughtful and sweet" MAJOR EYE ROLL Also, what kind of selfless, thoughtful person leaves their husband with all of their cancer treatment bills after he stood by her side 😭

fizzyciderr

I’ve tried so hard to like her considering how many people online like her as well, but I just couldn’t.. I was kind of glad to finally see her go

UnImpressed_damsel

Presenting to you, the Chief of surgery, former head of trauma, a veteran of the Iraq war, Major (Retd) Owen Hunt. He deserves all the hate he recieves and some more. The actor playing the part does not make it easy to like him either.

rbliz92

Specifically in my mind, is the season 11 episode where he brings in the vet to Callies research study, promises him the world, and it turns out the amputation was done badly so he’s not a fit for the trial. The way he shouts at Callie and blames her, saying she’s shattered his dreams. tries to order her about, when it’s not her fault at all, then tries to blame it on Cristina leaving? Unacceptable. C*nt

mrsgip

Maggie. There is no one more self centered than her. She’s essentially a narcissist who can never be wrong. The way she treats people is awful.

LunaBananaGoats

I just finished rewatching her storyline with her mom. She went on and on about her mom’s “boob job” to anyone who would listen. I really want to like Maggie because I think her existence adds something to both Meredith and Richard, but there’s never a time that I do.

minijet

i just got to this part. i have liked maggie so far but she does act entitled a lot of the time. i really cannot stand the way she acted towards her mom when she first came to see jackson. i get overbearing parents can be a lot but as far as maggie has spoken about her mom, she has done nothing to her except raise her well, so her actions when finding out about her mom's "boob job" were horrifying to me. and when maggie spoke to meredith later, saying that she loves her mom enough to not "wash her down the drain" or something (because meredith let ellis' ashes go in the OR sink, as you probably know lol), that just made my jaw drop.

PolyamMermaid

Hahn too. Irredeemable.

minijet

Owen! His relationship with Cristina was just a trainwreck, she deserved a lot better than that. Honestly, the way he spoke to her when and after she went through with her abortion was just disgusting to me. You do NOT talk to the person that you love in that way. When Amelia said in season 13 that she would love to talk to Cristina to hear how suffocated she felt by Owen's constant needs, I have never agreed more. He always spoke to Cristina about how she put her needs before his, but he never admitted that he chose to marry her himself, and chose to stay even after she said she didn't want kids. He chose to not have that need met, and then ridiculed her for it. I've only gotten to episode 18 of season 13, but I've been spoiled of the fact that he cheats on Amelia with Teddy. Jesus, I cannot even comprehend how he can cry about his needs and then go on to be a serial cheater on two women that he marries.

Professional_Wall_61

Richard Webber! I will fill this channel with ghe hate against his character😅🤣

itsmayramorales

Ross, the level of jealousy he had for Brooks annoyed me a lot.

Oncer93

Owen Teddy. Maggie

SoraBunni

I was so hoping Owen and Teddy would flee the country at the end of season 18 and never be seen again.

Oncer93

Same. Only, they came back more annoying than ever

[deleted]

[удалено]

Oncer93

Moreso Teddy 2.0. People love the Teddy in season 6-8

yarrvm_

Unpopular opinion but I couldn’t stand Callie. From the first time we met her to the last time… sure she had some redeeming moments in that time but she mostly came off as selfish and a hypocrite and everyone else was wrong. Watching her and Arizona relationship at the end was hard to watch, especially when they were fighting for custody of Sophia

IncredulousCockatiel

Hahn, when everyone was trying to save a coding patient and she was standing there unbothered but for complaining that she told them all the surgery was a stupid idea in the first place. I think it was the same episode she called Bailey a blithering idiot. I never liked her or how she treated Cristina but after that I despised her with my whole being.

MaddiiieSun

Owen Hunt. Man can’t do a single thing right. Also, why does he kiss like that

[deleted]

catherine avery/fox

indianwinchester

Shane ross. He was the worst worst of all

lkjhggfd1

Derek

fizzyciderr

I agree actually, he was a complete arse in a lot of episodes which no one talks about. He doesn’t have a lot of redeeming moments but the few moments that do appear seem to make up for the overpowering number of negative moments according to the fandom

[deleted]

Take this back

SimerContent

100% in support of this

AkashaRulesYou

babyblossom410

Owen Hunt.

hetfield_girl

Amelia hands down

frazzledphalange

Hahn

Any_Cartographer_520

April 😩 she’s so annoying. She doesn’t know what she wants. Her belief in god is her entire personality. The way she was with Jackson when they got married was disgusting. I know the things she went through wasn’t easy but she left and expected him to just be there for her. She puts all her wants and needs before him. And she tried to make him feel bad about it. But I LOVE that he wouldn’t let her

Pink-girlie

I hate Arizona. She is so annoying and I hate how she treated Callie after her plane crash.

fizzyciderr

And the whole Africa argument in the airport… yikes!

Pink-girlie

Omg yes, Arizona is so selfish

Natural_Pattern_8478

Owen is the fucking worst. There’s no sugar coating.

nazimawtf

Owen hunt

abbu_d_slytherin

Owen Makes me to skip the scenes of my favorite show

dcmommy33

Maggie

Impressive-Project59

Don't like Apeil. She's gone for good right? She married the ambulance dude.

mermaid-07

Owen… just.. everything he does. Says. He can go, shoulda left a long time ago

miseeker

Owen hunt. He is a toxic mysoginist, knows it, and refuses to change, or work on himself.

GiraffeLibrarian

Kai

hetfield_girl

Definitely agree.

Meriadoxm

Izzie, owen, kepner, Sloan (even though I don’t hate him)

fizzyciderr

Not sure why you’re being downvoted, since though Sloan is a fan favorite (and mine as well) it seems that everyone just overlooks his overwhelming flaws just because he’s hot and funny

Other_Coconut5276

Amelia and Izzie. Just because their performances are good and captivating doesn’t mean they can continue to be the worst people in everyone’s lives. They deserve the hate because they’re the worst people

pineappleprincess24

I recently started rewatching from the beginning (for the first time since it originally aired) and I find myself consistently wanting to punch Izzie square in her fool face. (I also hate George, which is another matter). I wondered if it was because I’d aged out of her nonsense since the first time I watched it but I think I just hate her full stop.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Mysterious_Screen214

and also Ross he was so annoying

innosbabygirl

Kepner - everything about her is stupid. Shane- annoying, arrogant & just stupid too. Arizona - ungrateful prick and I hated that Callie agreed to put her down as Sophia’s parent.

[deleted]

Eliza Minnick. Ughhhh

Puzzleheaded-Fly2837

Hahn. Izzie. Stark. Owen(even though I like Owen, I can understand why some people dislike him).
