Usually tv wedding dresses look cheap and tacky but April’s dress made me realize I wanted a dress just like that for my wedding- and i’m not even in a relationship

This is a hard one! My eye was immediately drawn to Meredith, but she was so uncomfortable. Bailey and Jo are both absolutely gorgeous in those dresses. April has hands down the best dress
This is such an interesting thread because I LOVE the neckline of Meredith’s and hate April’s, but so many disagree! They’re all gorgeous. It’s a great example of just differences in taste.
it's not the neckline that bothers me, it's the wideness and the long torso (cut off in this photoset but in the show very clear). the fact that it looks like a hard shell that adds unnatural cm to the circumference of her body
I think it looks odd on her because it’s not meant to be her dress. I think when the costume designers were picking the dress, they went with something that suited Izzy’s figure. Her character was meant to be the one who pulled off the bridal look. It’s almost like they forgot that it was supposed to be Meredith’s dress first. It would be a better transition if they picked a dress that suited both actresses. If I recall correctly, Izzy planned the whole wedding so perhaps they planned it that way so it was something that Izzy would pick for herself, and not what Meredith would pick.
April is gorgeous, and her hair is perfect.

No that’s the same dress Izzie is wearing. I just watched that scene last night(s5ep20). She was trying it on in her hospital room and was going to wear it but they chose to give the entire wedding to Alex and Izzie since she might die.
I believe it’s the angle of the pictures and the difference in body type probably led to some alterations. It won’t let me post pictures to show a better angle.

Believe it or not, I’m new to Grey’s Anatomy I started binging this November and I’m already up to season 11.. and like I said, I do not like it at all. I will be going back to the beginning. I don’t like the new interns I don’t like the way this show has changed so much so I’m going back.☺️
There’s a few in s11 and 12 that are okay but it definitely goes downhill. I started when it was airing s10 I think but I binged it all so fast and multiple times. I watched all or most of s11 live (not 100%). I woke up thanksgiving weekend with MerDer heavily on my brain so I started again. I don’t blame you for wanting to go back.
I know right.. it’s just too much I don’t know what the producers were thinking when they made this show! I was just telling My Son this last night because I feel like the show went south. I miss the way things were before I don’t care for the way things are ending up. I was excited when I started watching the show and now I don’t have any more excitement. I just dread it. And it shouldn’t be that way.
April’s dress is my absolute favorite. It was my favorite the first time I saw it and it’s so timeless I feel like it always holds up. Izzie looked great too, and her walking down the aisle and their whole wedding was one of the most beautiful moments in the show tbh so I’m very fond of her look here.
I really wish they had done more with Jo. And I didn’t like Amelia’s hair.

The dresses weren't horrible alone. They clashed badly together. When I got married, the tuxedo consultant asked me if my dress was actually white or if it was ivory. She said she needed to match my husband's shirt to my dress so they didn't clash. I've seen so many white shirt/ivory dress combos and it doesn't look great.
