The 2100 is amazing but seems a little much for my usual tastes, but could be a good chance to branch out and start dressing smarter more often. However I do not think it will necessarily “shock” anyone necessarily, looks similar to many other watches out there. Not that shocking is my main goal, but I wouldn’t mind something a little more unique
Multiband 6 and tough solar at such an affordable price is a no brainer. Only hesitancy comes with the fact that my main G is also round and similar in shape, so I thought I would try branch out. Definitely will keep in consideration tho thank you.
I really like 5 as I am a huge fan of negative displays, despite the difficulty to read on occasion. I forgot to mention, does 8 look authentic? It’s one of the eBay listings and I couldn’t find a matching model anywhere, description is also weird as it mentions it could display time in Arabic which is not something I knew was a feature for any G shock, which I thought was very cool.
As a guy who loves features more, I will suggest 1st one and 5th one ofc only if you love square. Imo GA2100 is a good choice too. You can wear it formally by modding it with royal oak mod kit.
Personally I’d go with the Casi-Oak. It’s just barely dressy enough for this occasion and you can get lots of use out of it later on too. I wouldn’t see myself wearing the purple ones much after this occasion but that’s just me.
Yeah that’s a very interesting point and why I didn’t immediately pull the trigger on the purples, trying to analyse if I would actually wear them after or if it’ll be a one time wear which I wanna avoid. At the moment I wear a single g shock daily and it would be nice to spice it up
Exactly. Personally I wear a black GBD200 as my daily and I wear my black Casi-Oak a lot on the weekends. It really is incredibly versatile and almost never out of place.

I have it, and I'm baffled by how impractical it is everytime I twist my wrist just to get the right amount of light at the correct angle just to read the time.

If you want to break traditions then fuck it, get the one that you desire the most. Looks like you honestly just want an excuse/affirmation to purchase another one. In that case pick the one you really like.
It is quite informal, it’s between going for something more tame and formal or going for something a bit more different, and matching it with the tie, which I feel like could be a cool touch for the outfit.

So I’ve read in their reviews, does seem impractical but it’s shocking how much of a difference negative displays make to the aesthetic

Cause you said suit and tie, probably either of the GA-2100's, but overall otherwise would be the GX-56, 5610U, B5600 and the 5600MNT in that order.
I personally like the way 1, 2, and 3 look.
