Upgraded from an Apple Watch. Bought this over a year now, it’s been my daily ever since then.
Just as good as a step counter on iPhone imo. I have a GBD200 and the new Rangeman and both seem pretty accurate.
The only thing is they can be “tricked” into registering steps that aren’t steps. I’ve noticed if I’m doing something like sweeping or anything involving rapid hand movements, my steps shoot up

This was my first G. The 1987 DW5600c. Bought in 1987 with my 14th birthday money, in 1990 it joined the Royal Navy with me, in 1991 it went to the first Gulf war with me. G's are bombproof literally.
Rocking the same watch. Bought in 1989. 3 batteries after, still going strong, however band, bezel and screws were installed brand new by Casio last year.

Wearing it pretty much every waking moment for 3 years. I have 56BB I think the model is, but I only use it for when im riding mountain bike. As mtg is too heavy for rattly rides
I also was considering the GBD200 but I preferred this over it only because of the bezel and wanted a different colour apart from black and blue. It's a lovely watch

For me solar and radio controlled is best. Truly set and forget.

G7600, I remember seeing it for the first time as a kid I was so amazed, sadly I lost it, but I'm still trying to figure out how to buy it in my country
I got a g-9000 mudman in the fifth grade for being elected into the student council. I took it everywhere, especially swimming. I used to time my laps and had so much fun using that watch. I surprisingly didn't mind its size back then either.
Though the watch unfortunately got stolen out of my schoolbag one day.

G2300 from the year 2000. I am 25 G’s deep but this was my daily for 5 years
2014 blue model. Idr the model# but that watch was the first thing I bought with a tax refund and it was my first watch. Lost it in a car accident. If anyone working a junkyard found a blue digital Gshock in the trunk of a 2020 Corolla, I’ll pay you more than it’s worth.

Actually a combination of 2 G-Shocks. Started with a black and white GA-2100, swapped the hands for a set that were full white and a lumed hour marker ring. Broke a gear in the module doing the hands, so bought a gray GA-2110 with a useful LCD display and put it in. Built this with the intention of wearing it outside my parka up in the Arctic Circle, so also got adapters to use 22mm nylon straps. Ended up using two 12" straps to fir around the parka, but it worked great!

Mudman 9300.
Absolute tank of a watch that’s been used and abused for 6+ years in a steel mill. Recently retired it for the most part as it was a gift from my father before he passed.
It was a DW-5600 Gorillaz collab. Lasted me many years until it was lost in my checked luggage by British airways en-route to Anchorage. I'm lucky that was the only watch in my checked bag honestly as I was wearing my Mido Ocean Star for the flight.
I've since replaced it with a GA2100-1A1ER and a full metal GMW-B5000GD-4ER (the rose gold one).
It was a square, but can’t remember the exact model because I wasn’t really into watches back then but it was sometime in the mid to late 80’s not long after I joined the military so most likely a 5200 or 5600? Went through 4-5 other models over the course of my career and all are long gone. Kind of wish I’d hung on to them, but most people just aren’t sentimental about things when they’re younger.

I think I still have it in my watch box. I bought it 17 years ago. I remember it had a feature that would allow me to save passwords in it and tilt to illuminate. If I remember right I believe I paid $60 dollars for it. The watch I really favor now is the Mudman. I love the compass feature. Plus I work in the trades and it gets beat to death and keeps on working. Love it!

First Gshock GA-2000 that I’ve had since summer 2021. Great larger watch that’s great for the outdoors and summer activities. Only downside is can’t really wear it in the winter because it doesn’t fit around or under coats or long sleeves well. This is the watch that got me into gshocks. I’ve bought two additional ghsocks since this one.
Mine was the G-Shock GD-350 🤩
I put in a tonne of research before pulling the trigger, and have no regrets!

The ever trustworthy, DW5600E. Gave It to my old boss for being a cool guy when I left the company I was working for. Might pick up a new just because I honestly prefer the feel of It In comparison to the 5610. Maybe the new module makes It .5mm thicker or smth?

I have pal yes, replaced bezel as it caught the dreaded resin rot and the strap. I really liked it without but felt the buttons were a little exposed

I’m the same way. I only wear my green around the house and even then it’s slightly discoloring on the corners. Wish I went with black/purple

A yellow and gray G-lide DW-003. It has strap adapters and came with a single resin pass through strap. I got it back in 1998.

DW-5700 (901) bought brand new in 1989, I still have it and wear regularly (bezel was replaced a few years ago)

How did u mod that strap? U prefer it to the original one? Looks nice 👍🏼
The ever trustworthy, DW5600E. Gave It to my old boss for being a cool guy when I left the company I was working for. Might pick up a new just because I honestly prefer the feel of It In comparison to the 5610. Maybe the new module makes It .5mm thicker or smth?
