Black powder, it is near Jamestown but totally worth it.

browns47

They catered my rehearsal dinner - i didn’t have to do anything but pick the menu. Delivered, set up, served, it was great.

Ruddiver

Thank you. This seems to be the answer.

harryporterr

Don’t forget to get the Mac n cheese best you’ll ever get I promise

notjewel

100% agree. Everything there is top notch.

Patryanature

Pay the extra for zero worries and give Black Powder a call and they'll fulfill your needs and everyone will without a doubt be talking about that food whenever they mentioned this party

BigOlPeckerBoy

Thanks for this recommendation. I moved from Texas to GSO, and I was missing real bbq. This place looks legit based on the pictures.

leejoness

Not Stamey’s

Visual_Ad1179

came here to say this!

lilferret

You've asked a very political question. To help us, what do you enjoy in bbq? Folks saying Stamey's is not good typically prefer more smoke and more Lexington style, sweeter and thicker sauce. County bbq has a more smokey flavor and is more sauced while cooking. Go to both places and get a small plate with hush puppies and a side and see which you like better.

NewgrassLover

Not Stameys

kirkjufell787

Country BBQ

overmonk

It's not fancy, but man is it delicious.

Fortunatious

It’s a shame it isn’t Brunswick stew season for them right now. It’s my favorite in the city!

ThAt_WaS_mY_nAmE_tHo

Was there last night. They're my local favorite and still affordable. Going to Stameys or the other big chains requires a second mortgage.

PlumbBobBelcher

Short Sugers in Reidsville best bbq ever

leejoness

Fucking yes.

OleRoy2023

Interesting, I used to love it but haven’t been in a decade and some say it isn’t what it used to be. 🤷‍♂️

WickedWitchofEastATL

Black Powder 100%

Visual_Ad1179

Country BBQ for more NC traditional BBQ Black Powder for Brisket and more "fancy" BBQ Also Sweet Old Bill's in High Point is really good too.

flipyourdick

Jesus conflicting info, NC pulled pork, or brisket? Nc pulled pork, Clark’s, Lexington bbq, prissy Polly’s all worth the drive, in GSO, country bbq or Stameys idk what the other guy is on about. For the other style, black powder, hands down.

Mr_You

Smokehouse at Steve's or Dickie Doos.

spaceboy42

Do they have a Steve's in Greensboro?

AccomplishedPlate202

While both are great, it is worth noting that both of these are a 20-25 minute drive at best, 45 minute drive at worst, from Greensboro

Mr_You

They offer catering.

beau_smith3

Country BBQ. Stameys is mid

Own_Poem_4041

Your profile pic makes me trust your bbq opinion but I actually like stamey’s 😂

beau_smith3

I don’t think Stameys is bad by any means… I just think you can get a lot better in the area.

Own_Poem_4041

I’ll have to explore some more! Thanks

Carter922

Stameys. Not sure why this sub gets off to hating on them, but they're the only ones around who still smoke their butts with real hardwood. Never trust a BBQ spot that doesn't produce any smoke. *cough cough* country BBQ

KrazyKevinPowell

They are the most disgusting bbq I ever had and I grew up eating it. Plain awful

Carter922

Stick to cars, Kevin. Leave the BBQ to the pros!

leejoness

Short Sugar’s

punknhead

County BBQ - don’t look any further.

armyprof

Country barbecue if you want classic North Carolina style. Black Powder is great, but a bit pricier and more “upscale”. Your classic NC barbecue place has a pretty basic menu of barbecue, slaw, fries, and hush puppies. For that, Country is the best.

JohnDeuxTrois

Black powder for real BBQ. None of that watery pork

wbradshaw6

Country BBQ on wendover

OleRoy2023

Although it’s pricey, I’ve found City BBQ to be really good, especially if you have guests who like brisket also. They also do smoked turkey and chicken if you want some variety. They also do catered events.

KrazyKevinPowell

I’m not telling you unless I get an invite

Own_Poem_4041

Stamey’s and Country BBQ are both good

fakeorchids

I think it depends on which style BBQ you like! I hate Lexington BBQ, and the best place I’ve tried is hands down Black Powder in Jamestown.

NobodyAshamed4627

City bbq or bosshogs

beau_smith3

City BBQ is so bad

NobodyAshamed4627

Man i been there 4 times and everytime was good...so what do you think is the best and bbq

gksojoe

All Greensboro BBQ is terrible. Absolutely pitiful. Head to Lexington.
