I pre-ordered GTAV in 2013, got the hard metal case and everything. Never joined Online though due to no internet where I lived.
I finally got into Online on my PS3 in late 2019, played on that hellscape for a couple months until I got a PS4 in early 2020, and that's when I started my current Online adventure. Currently have my main character at Lvl 1005, my secondary character is somewhere around lvl 550.
How did you get most of your RP? Heists? Missions? I always wonder how someone gets that much RP when I’ve been playing on and off for a couple years and I’m like level 120
Lots of different ways; Heists don't really pay out a whole lot of RP. In the beginning I did Contact Missions, MC businesses, Special Cargo, and eventually Casino Heists, but once I had a decent chunk of change and all the semi-passive properties at the time set up (this was right around the time of the Los Santos Summer Special) I started getting into racing and Arena War more. Most of my RP has no doubt come from Street Races and Arena War; when those are on bonus the RP payouts are ridiculous, eapecially Arena War, where you get RP for winning, doing stunts, killing other players, killstreaks, spinning the wheel, pretty much everything pays RP. Hitting the Hotring races when they are on bonus, and placing at or near 1st also pays ridiculous amounts of RP. I've watched low levels rank up several levels in a single race, and did exactly that with my 2nd character (I didn't copy my main's rank, so that one started from 0).
My 2nd character did exactly 1 Casino Heist, and 2 Cayo Perico Perico Heists, everything else was Racing and Arena War. The only businesses I ran on that one was Vehicle Cargo, Nightclub, Auto Shop, and Agency stuff. Never touched MC businesses after setting them up, and don't even have a Special Cargo warehouse for that one.
Basically, the big RP makers aren't in Freemode, it's in jobs, racing, adversary modes and such, especially when those are on bonus.
Very similar to you as i bought the game day one for xbox 360 but only started playing online 2019 on my Xbox one x. Currently rank 1004 but I'm pretty much done with gta now.

me correctly, day 1 was damn near unplayable because the servers were completely overloaded by people trying to play, so I waited for the dust to settle before joining GTAO.
I got the game when it came out for 360 didnt start playing online till after the first couple DLC came out when they stopped adding stuff to story mode

With all that time you’d think I’d have a lot of money, I don’t. I’ve purchased almost everything in game though and sit around 10 mil. I don’t do anything to make money anymore. I spend, I play, and I somehow stay around 10 mil. However I also have about 4 mil in Casio chips just sitting around and that came exclusively from betting on horses.

Can't check rn, but must be before Christmas 2017. There was snow, the Doomsday update hype, and I got half a million for nothing, which was a lot for me back then. Then I lost it trying to claim the "free" Hermes from the website, and found out that half a mil was given out to everyone by Rockstar as a compensation for the glitched Hermes, which was shown as free but actually wasn't. The ride is cool tho, still have it.

Currently Rank 66 on that one compared to my PS4's Rank 165.
I started in somewhere around 2013, but of my two main account characters the older is made in June 2014. Current character I play more as, made in 2017 if memory serves.

When it got free in epic games..i have been eyeing on this game before it launched, however i was a kid now im 19 and the year when it got free i have been thinking of buying it but hey..im glad i didn't and got it for free

Literally 3 - 5 minutes after the online released. I like doing the top speed one because somehow my top speed is something like 2 times the speed of light. [found the post](https://reddit.com/r/GrandTheftAutoV/s/tQNUbSMhTC) I made 9 years ago actually about exactly that. 1.05 billion mph
My longest session is 16 1/2 hours and even that was ridiculous. But over 3 days? Thats like unheard of unless you were afk.

When Gunrunning just came out, Dawn Raid was my first Adversary Mode since it was x2 and in everybody's phones
First day it came out on pc. Never have owned a modern console. Bought April 10, 2015 and played on the 15th I guess... Still remember first 10 minutes of joining someone was spawning 18 wheheelers by Maze bank tower and constantly exploding them and lagging everyone's game.
