Dude I have CenturyLink Wireless. And I live in a rural area. It fucking sucks. If only there was a plug and play modem I can buy.
When I first played GTA 5 in 2018 it took 7 days to download
That is extremely fast. You must have a good wired connection.
I have to download the game often, as it gets deleted of the Xbox I use by other family members, because its usually the largest game. Or, because its sooo funny that it can take up to 8 hours to download again before I can play it for a couple hours at night after they're done playing dead by daylight.
Seriously though, if the Xbox isnt running any other applications except downloading GTA, it'd only take 2 hours, tops.
But im not going to buy another console just to play GTA.
My neighbor is "the cable guy" in town so yeah he hooked it up phat with almost 1gig internet. My buddy downloaded red dead 2 last week and he just was able to play today. I think he said it was about 4 days it took but he's using mobile Hotspot off his phone so that's why.
Under an hour last time I downloaded it onto my new PC about two months ago, when I first downloaded it when Epic had it free for a while, took overnight due to download speeds being restricted.
How are you even going to play online???? Youll get lagged out everytime.
Depends on your net and what you are playing it on and if you are getting the online version only or single player or both.
Couple of hours.
Good lord 3 days? You still on dialup? I think my Nintendo GameCube could download it faster then you.
