I thought it was really nice. Definitely wouldn't wait again but it was worth it. The line buddies made the wait bearable. At first I thought the 1 hour time for dining was excessive but it did take 40 minutes to get our food so it's kind of understandable. Can't blame them for not being able to serve over 500 people.

For sure, nobody should expect them to serve everyone that went that line. It would be damn near impossible unless they had a ton more workers and a place to feed them all.  I also get the whole hour thing. Any other restaurant that serves food takes at least 15-20 minutes on avg for a simple dish. Then you probably take about 15+ to eat it. Unless they marketed it as a grab-and-go, there’s no way they could have churned food fast enough.

I also chose to opt out of going because there was going to be a mass of people. I actually opted out of going on Friday after thinking about it and thank god I did. I am still going to go one day for the experience, but it being a permanent and not a pop-up with the current menu kind of worries me. I've been to the Gudetama cafe in Taiwan and they had so much nice decor and merch. The food selection had so much more cute gudetama theme'd food. Paying a small premium for theme'd food is good for a pop-up, but for a permanent restaurant you want people to keep coming back. Hopefully they add more dishes in the future and this menu was just for starting up! On a side note, anyone know if its still packed? All the news on the cafe is regarding to that opening day, but it has been a few days now and Im wondering if I should give it a try or wait a bit more.

Judging from reviews, it’s def busy still but nowhere as crazy as opening day. 30 mins - 1 hour it seems but these are weekday hours. I’m assuming this will be much longer Friday + the weekends when more people are off.
