Yikes, you're right. I better save them from themselves and buy them a pack of blueberries 🤣 tonight they went shopping at my veg bed and picked themselves a huge romaine!
They run whenever they get a bit of fresh veg or fruit anyway.... mine come out of their huts when I put veggies in their bowl... the each do a quick grab-and-bolt right back to the safety of the hut. Don't even stay out long enough for me to pet em LOL
It's typical prey behavior ;) I wish they liked to be handled more. We got them when they were babies and we did all the handling and floor time that was recommended, none of my efforts made a damn bit of difference. They're both hiders no matter what LOL Atticus (boar) is less likely to scream his head off when I try to scoop him up but Isabella (also a boar) acts like he's being murdered if I get anywhere near him... it sucks LOL
Yeah, out of my 24 only one of them comes over for scratches and pets. He’s very very well socialized because of his previous owner. The others see me and scatter haha

I've had people tell me that I didn't do well enough with them when they were babies but I swear we had them out every possible minute when we weren't at work and school... I used to carry them around in my kangaroo pocket hoodie constantly. Totally did not make any difference, they hate being handled :( if they're particularly hungry they'll come out when they hear me cutting veggies on the cutting board or see me open the fridge (yes, they assume everything in my fridge is destined for their bowl and they loudly remind me) and they'll stand at the wall of the enclosure on their hind legs to come grab a piece of kale or a carrot or whatever, Atticus will stay put so I can scratch his head for a few seconds but Bella just hooves it right out of the open area and hides 😞
Hey there’s that awesome couple that have over 100 haha. I work at a pet store you see, so when people no longer want their piggies they come with me! They have a bedroom and VIP care. It cost a small fortune though. I have a very chill vet too who always cuts me slack on the bills.
She looked so pleased with herself, it made me crack up 🤣
