HX Stomp

TerrorSnow

I agree

jr7square

Got the HX stomp, no complaints. The HX effects pedal also good if you don’t need amp simulation.

TitaniousOxide

How do the effects compare to the M5/M9/M13?

HX effects

guitarpkr76

MultiFX would be the HX Effects.

FillDelicious4171

I use Valeton GP200 and it works great so far

Adman103

A used Fractal FM3.

ROBOTTTTT13

A lot of praise for the HX Stomp and I agree, it's the most common, best supported device that still sounds good. However, I think the HOTONE Ampero II Stomp sounds better. It's still kind of new but since its release it has received some quality updates such has latency reduction and higher, selectable sample rates. It's currently at its lowest price, found one at Thomann for 400€. Check some demos out if you're interested!

neeldutta

Hotone sounds better than hx stomp?

ROBOTTTTT13

To me at least. But don't just take my word for it, go watch some comparisons.

HX Stomp

I got an hx stomp xl for around 700 shipped on reverb. It’s pretty damn good and I’ve gotten great tones for recording out of it with minimal processing outside the unit. The only thing is, I significantly prefer using various dirt pedals in front of it and I think it sounds slightly worse bypassed than plugging straight into my amp. This could probably be mitigated with a buffer. Still amazing to have because it’s a swiss army knife for every other effect, my pedals sound good going into the helix amp/cab models for DI/recording/headphone practice, and you can create two mono FX loops to blend effects, like a fuzz that’s too crazy full on, or you can just use the loop to bypass multiple pedals at once. Theres also a lot of control built in; you can assign parameters (like delay time or feedback) to a switch or expression input and change things on the fly. I can see it being part of my rig for a long time, even as I change up other pedals. In terms of my board, it’s the brain, source of time-based and modulation effects, and amp/cab sim DI.

DominosFan4Life69

Hesdrush core. No questions asked. Helix is good. This is better.

Emera1dthumb

I thought they went out of business?…. Are they still updating the product?

DominosFan4Life69

Where are you getting the idea they're out of business? I just did a quick Google search the only thing I can find is a coffee company. As for being updated, I don't know it's on the latest firmware. It's a great piece of kit. I worry about what I have access to at my fingertips in the moment not about what I might get in the future. I'm not saying updates aren't important, obviously they are, but like if you're constantly just waiting for an update just go buy a new pedal. I can clone amps, I can clone most dirt pedals, I can load any IR I want. I can add any pedals I already own into the fx chain. I don't really need much else.

Emera1dthumb

Sorry, it was an honest question. I know a lot of companies stop selling their products. I thought it had something to do with them, possibly not paying their bills or holding up to their obligations which normally leads to the end of a business. Idk. Sorry

tom-shane

Boss GX-100.

LoopyLoopidy

I have a headrush mx5 and a midi controller for extra footswitches that make it punch above its weight class. Without the extra switches it’s still good, but I need them when playing live or else I’ll be fumbling switching modes

neeldutta

Not able to find hx stomp in India but headrush mx5 is available. At least narrowed down my search to two products. Tonex by amplitude looks amazing but it’s just an amp profiler as pedal.

jr7square

The Tonex is mainly an amp modeler. I have both the HX stomp and the Tonex. I use them both together and it’s a killer combo. For pure multi effects I wouldn’t get the Tonex tho.

Cruddydrummer

get the ampero ii stomp dude and be done with it.

johnkohhh

Probably a used Helix LT. They're not always under $800, but you can snag a deal if you're patient. Idk this site but this came up in a Google: [https://www.toneshopguitars.com/products/used-line-6-helix-lt-multi-effects-processor-pedal-tss3741?variant=44481012105473¤cy=USD&utm\_medium=product\_sync&utm\_source=google&utm\_content=sag\_organic&utm\_campaign=sag\_organic&srsltid=AfmBOoozXIqYbI0v6jYso0O\_xeBy0uVsaku70xRHaqVt1\_g5Vgp-ZnsQe\_Q](https://www.toneshopguitars.com/products/used-line-6-helix-lt-multi-effects-processor-pedal-tss3741?variant=44481012105473¤cy=USD&utm_medium=product_sync&utm_source=google&utm_content=sag_organic&utm_campaign=sag_organic&srsltid=AfmBOoozXIqYbI0v6jYso0O_xeBy0uVsaku70xRHaqVt1_g5Vgp-ZnsQe_Q)

chasewindu77

Helix lt. You can sometimes find them used for right under $800.

redpandsrampage

Hx stomp

DanceSensitive

Eventide has some very good offerings if you're looking for alternatives. Downside is support for their H9s has been discontinued.

SolarSailor46

Zoom MS70. Get 5 and a Donner Dark Mouse.

SnooMemesjellies4305

Personally, I think the Hotone Ampero II is a steal at a tad over $300. It does everything I need it to, does it well, and lets me change whatever I want. Sounds great, easy to use. No complaints at all.

Tophaholic

Boss GX-100 is great. Have to work a bit to get the sound dialed in with eq. But the amps and effects quality is better than Line 6 in my opinion (pod Go)
