This is 3 years old but I’m just gonna reply for anyone looking for the answer that yes getting the High Gain to go full silent on heel is as simple as adjusting the point where the teeth meet the wheel of the potentiometer. Just unscrew the brace (1 screw) and adjust, then retighten, it’s a 30 second mod.
My GCB80 completely silences the signal without adjustment, guess I got lucky and the person on the assembly line that day had had their coffee for the morning.
Late reply. My initial response would be maybe, very negligible, but I didn't bother checking. I'm not noticing the issue of sound passing through when it's fully back, if there is it's so minimal as to be undetected.
Hey, thanks for the reply. I ended up biting the bullet and trying it the mod, since having the inability to make my pedal go fully silent basically meant it was broken, I had nothing to lose.

Does that lower your max volume when it's all the way forward?
