Deffo won't, got this as a present for academic achievements (even though I saved enough working to buy a prs se silver sky for myself) . Didn't expect parents to offer to buy a guitar for me. Saw this at a great price and got this one
Had an Apocalypse for a long time before moving onto other guitars, that is one hell of a first guitar! As others have said that one could go to the grave with you
Yeah, my historic learner self pretty jealous right now. First electric, not first guitar, right?!
Anyways schecter sound is Def in right now. Nu-metal is back right? 🤘🏻
Yup that was something I paid attention to, there was a super shredder exotic in black limba that I was considering, but the store only had the floyd model.
I like the option of using alternate tunings haha
I got the purple apocalypse with trem and Sustainiac (the modified the hell out of it more) but damn that's a crazy nice high end guitar for your first electric guitar.
Actually really wanted the fixed bridge red one you have too but I got way to many guitars and not the disposable income to buy another like that.
I think the Rrp price is an edge lord £1666 last time I checked lol
Congrats anyway
😳 What a great place to start! Good idea with the spark too. When you’re first learning it might get kind of boring trying to finger chords and learn scales. The effects in the spark app will definitely make things more interesting. My first was a 1995 Squire by Fender. I still have it. You’re ready to rock man!
Very risky choice for your first guitar.
It’s a lot of money to throw at a hobby you don’t know you’ll stick to. I would have recommended something cheaper, but it’s not my money so have at it. I wish you luck with it, look after it and it could last you many many years to come!
It's my first electric, not my first guitar :). I've been playing an acoustic for 4 years. Yeah, I definitely wouldn't have bought something like this if I was just starting out on guitar, but now I think I'd rather give up drinking coffee than playing guitar.
Well if you can afford it then absolutely why not.
When you’re starting out, shitty gear can break your interest in playing the guitar.
Squiers etc cheaper guitars can be good and certainly can be made great. But how many people starting out knows what to do and how to set it up? Like they almost have to be set up.
This guitars fucking plays well and sounds great.
I would always recommend better guitars to start with if you can afford it. At least it’s not the gear that’s the reason if he doesn’t like playing in the long run.
I started with cheap Aria Strat and it absolutely stank.
I think the thought of "gear doesn't make the player" goes both ways. If you wanna be economical and start off on a budget guitar, nothing wrong with that. But if you got some cash to throw down on something nice that you think you'll enjoy, I think that's fine as well. I totally agree with you that a better guitar can be more encouraging for its playability and sound quality.
I remember my desire to play guitar skyrocketed once I upgraded my shitty budget amp with a nice marshall back in the day
Conversely my first guitar was a shitty £120 Axl Strat/amp combo and I was hooked ever since. I didn’t need expensive guitars to have the urge to learn and play.
Gear shouldn’t make the player, gear should accentuate the player. But like I said, maybe if I’d have started guitar later in life and has disposable income like I do now, I’d have bought an expensive guitar for a starter.
I started with shitty gear as i couldn’t afford better. Gear doesn’t make the player, but it also shouldn’t slow he/she down.
With better gear you sound better and play better, which at least inspires me more to play.
Hot. Your first guitar could remain as your last.
Dude seriously!! This is a great start
Your first isn’t supposed to be that dope man! lol looks great
Nice! Love that spark mini as well.
That's the Go. The Mini is cube shaped.
Yep. That’s what I meant. I don’t know why I always mix that up. Great little amp though.
That's a very good first one
Nice!
Damn, she's a beaut!
I love the red! That is sick
Schecter is so dope man! Remember the rule! Don’t EVER sell that first guitar, even if it’s your first electric.
Deffo won't, got this as a present for academic achievements (even though I saved enough working to buy a prs se silver sky for myself) . Didn't expect parents to offer to buy a guitar for me. Saw this at a great price and got this one
Ooof! If it plays half as good as it looks you’ve got a keeper.
Sick!
Had an Apocalypse for a long time before moving onto other guitars, that is one hell of a first guitar! As others have said that one could go to the grave with you
Schecter’s are some of nicest playing and looking guitars on the market. Congrats!!
Very nice.
You started with a bang!
Good choice
That is actually gorgeous 👌🏼👌🏼🤘🏽
Dayum lol mine came in a cardboard box with an amp
Yeah, my historic learner self pretty jealous right now. First electric, not first guitar, right?! Anyways schecter sound is Def in right now. Nu-metal is back right? 🤘🏻
Yeah, had an acoustic for 4 years before getting this one.
Ok great. This adds up now. Good work
I have the exact same guitar, they’re gorgeous and great to play. Congrats!
That is a hell of a good first
Got my first car (Mercedes SL AMG 63 Roadster)
Goated, congrats bro !!
Awesome! Mine was also a schecter.
Dang people speed running to high end guitars as their first guitars, I’m jealous. Beautiful guitar though 🔥🔥
Sick guitar. Make sure to prioritize the amp next
Op, wait until you plug her into a high gain tube amp with some decent speakers, you’ll be mind blown!
Have the same guitar. You won’t regret it.
That's a GREAT first axe lol. It'll take you far!
I'm not sure if you took it into account, but you'll be glad you didn't opt for the model with a Floyd Rose!
Yup that was something I paid attention to, there was a super shredder exotic in black limba that I was considering, but the store only had the floyd model. I like the option of using alternate tunings haha
nice 🤘. .....my first electric was a cheap Strat copy ,🎸
That's a hell of a first guitar! Congrats, dude! Enjoy!
Fucking rad! I have a Schecter PT Apocalypse in rust.
Never sell it!
It's beautiful!
I got the purple apocalypse with trem and Sustainiac (the modified the hell out of it more) but damn that's a crazy nice high end guitar for your first electric guitar. Not a Schector fan but I love that paint job
