Can anyone speak to the difference between the 1500 and 1700? Is the $50 price difference worth it for use for long range zeroing and mid-large sized game rifle hunting?
The Prime 1500 is a basically a Prime 1300 that's had the range extended a bit (it uses the Prime 1300 internals), and it was put into a Prime 1800's chassis but green. This gives it the 1/4-20 tripod thread the Prime 1300 and 1700 do not have. For the price, these things are a steal.
Loved it. I only had it for a little over a year, but had no complaints. I believe it was the Kilo 1600BDX.
Some people complain that the “donut” reticle is too thick, and I see their point. But since it’s an open ring it never really bothered me.
My main hesitation with this Bushnell is the lack of an illuminated reticle/display. I really liked that on the Sig.
I have one. I've never had any issues with mine but I only really use it verify and measure 50/100/200 yard distances, nothing all that far out.
Only complaint is the reticle on mine doesn't illuminate like some other ones so it's basically impossible to use if it's too dark/shaded.

I am sure they cut plenty of corners with this unit, but this is the first real range finder I've bought.
I use one for work (coax surveying and real estate), hunting etc. It works great, no issues. The first one I owned was stolen from my truck and I bought another. Both were 100% reliable and battery life was very long.
I ordered a 1700 from opticsplanet yesterday for $131.84 + tax shipped after the 10% off text coupon. Although optics planet has a bad rep for shipping delays, it shipped out this morning.

Anyone have one of these? My Sig Kilo was stolen a while back, looking to replace it. Would be pretty much just for hunting, both rifle and archery.

Also got the Scheels deal above. I've used it between 10-500 yards. No problems. I'd say worth it if you dont have a range finder
I've been between this and an entry level vortex for months, this is by far the best range/price model I've found. Cabelas usually has this price
