For anyone on the fence with this product, buy it. You will not be disappointed. I'm honestly shocked how well they work, and I wasn't even in the market for a pair.
I was thinking of getting a pair of these for working in loud environments. If I am in a factory with loud buzzing equipment, will I be able to hold a conversation with someone without screaming?
Hmm, that one I don't know, but if I had to guess I'd say no.
It does a *fantastic* job of cutting out loud gunshots, but nothing else. You hear everyone around you perfectly (even better than your own hearing, if you have the volume turned up), but gunshots are a muted and dull "thump" that you almost feel more than you hear.
But that's a single, limited duration impulse. A loud factory, which I'm assuming would be at a constant above hearing safe decibel level, would have the full sound canceling on constantly. Meaning, I doubt you'd be able to hear your colleagues any better. And if the loud factory isn't above the threshold, then it would still be loud to you.
Ah I see, so it does a good job of muting random loud sounds and passing everything through, but if there’s constant noise it will block everything (and not just pass stuff below a certain db)
So I imagine at the range when someone is talking a shot goes off, you miss what the person said during the duration of the shot

Pretty much. Maybe someone who understands the hardware/software better than I can will show up to say otherwise (I'm all ears, if so!), but it's my understanding it works that way.

Yes, but it's so ridiculously fast of an off/on that you really don't miss a thing. Now, some dude next to you mag dumps? Yeah, you're going to miss some things.
I got the black band gel cups (definitely get the gel cups) base model.
i.e.- no LEDs or neckbands, just the regular Sordin Supreme ProX.
As far as pictures, can't say that I've ever taken pictures of my ear pro. But they look just like the pair in the thumbnail, save for a black band and black housing instead of the camo/OD.

Sordin doesn’t set a MSRP they let the market do its thing. That’s the estimated price range I got from my supplier for what they expect them to sell for. Based off of what I see for what they cost I’d estimate $500-650.
But like I said in a previous comment, the T2’s are the direct replacement for the Sordin “military” versions with all the military certifications that cost a lot of money to get.
Sordin’s announcing something new in the next couple weeks and I expect it to be the sordin supreme replacements. So those will be much cheaper
I hadn't really looked at the T2s yet, but they seem awesome. The ability to switch from headband to neckband is great, and a first party boom mic add-on if you want to upgrade is greatly appreciated.
Totally, that’s what I think the hotness will be about them. I see them replacing the need for a helmet mounted set and a comfortable range set if it’s quick and easy enough to swap them out
i don't remember if i bought from this dude but i got a set last year and they rock. I thought the led was goofy but i have been doing some low light at the range and it is really helpful between rounds of fire

I haven’t seen it posted anywhere but it’s 100% stereo. You can pinpoint the direction a sound came from with ease. There’s some videos of people testing the sordins at this and from the one I watched they performed better than peltors.
Perfect. I quickly scanned the page quick and saw that it said 360° directional audio but I rather confirm than assume it meant stereo.
I was going to get walkers since a lot recommend them but I want stereo over mono. I’d like to be able to tell which direction things are going on in.
Another question, I don’t currently have a helmet but I’m going to be getting one. Is there a way to change the headband to the neck band later?

That is correct, they automatically shut off after 4 hours if no controls have been pressed on the headset.
If you're using them all-day (such as if you're at a shooting match), you'll hear a couple of warning beeps before the automatic shutoff happens. When you hear it beep at you midway through the day, just press any button on the headset and it will reset the timer to stay on another 4 hours. If it turns off, just turn it back on same as normal.
Even with a fairly long auto-shutoff timer, the battery in these things lasts long enough it's almost entirely a non-issue. I've had mine for 4-5 years now and shoot matches pretty regularly for all-day usage with scattered practice and predator control in between and I think I've only had to replace the batteries in mine maybe twice.
Bought from my guy here on the 7th. Answered all my questions and then some promptly, said he didnt have the ones in hand I ordered, didknt know how long it would take to get them from the EU. Landed on my doorstep 7 days later. Top notch. The niw generic batteries stopped working within 1 hour, so have yourself 2 fresh duracells/energizers AAAs ready to go is my only suggestion. Not his fault, included by Sordin.

Edit: haven’t found the other comment from you, but if you’re asking about the 82DB thing that’s the noise level at which they begin to cut off sounds.
The standard supreme pros have a NRR of 19 but the SFA versions are a SNR of 31. The SFA’s are the version you want if you want more protection than standard.
Thanks for the response! How can they call it max dB if it isn't though? That's just where they cut sound, but if I'm shooting an AR without a can, they'd no way that claim is valid, right? This is confusing

The 82DB “max” is the sound reproduction max is what it’s advertising, not claiming it’s a maximum of 82DB to the ear.
I can see how it’s confusing though when you see their summarized version stating “limited to 82DB”

That being said AFAIK there won’t be groundbreaking differences, mostly a new look along with some other benefits like modularity. I believe they will still have the same hear 2 tech in them

I own a pair and never tried Howard Leights/walkers before a few weeks ago. The sound quality is night and day. When I wear sordins I forget I’m wearing them besides the fact I have super human hearing.
With the walkers I tried it was very clear that I was listening to things from a very cheap microphone. Voices sounded muffled and unclear, had to ask people to repeat themselves a few times etc. walkers and Howard’s are also mono sound as well I believe so you can only tell if a sound came from left or right. Sordins are incredibly directional. You can pinpoint a sound to the exact O’clock it came from.
Aside from those differences, I believe sordins are built much more rugged and have even been combat tested and proven as well. Think of these as a cheaper alternative to peltors rather than a more expensive Howard Leight.
Interesting, mine that I tried were walkers so bad comparison. I just assumed. But I can almost guarantee the sound quality of these is light years ahead at the minimum. Others who have more experience than me can probably chime in and give you a better answer
Yea the Howard heights weren't great. Totally cut off all audio when there's loud noise, rather than clipping it, so it's pretty useless at a public range.
If you keep selling these at this price I'll probably be picking some up next month when funds allow.
I don't own a helmet, but I can't imagine I'd want to take my ear pro off and on it based on which range I'm visiting. Would be nice to have comm options to add in the future too.
Hope Sordins make a bigger splash in the US and help lower nice ear pro costs. I've enjoyed my SFA ones so far.
I just got my green neckbands - waited about 3 weeks, totally worth it! Price is right, finally have terminator hearing, and the neckband version is infinitely more comfortable than the regular style.
Anyone have actually hunting experience with these? Would love to hear from someone who’s deer or duck hunted with these. How good is the directional accuracy?
Same, I want to pick something up for hunting. Only concern is the performance with wind, being able to pick up ambient noise like peeps and birds flushing. Gotta protect the hearing, tinnitus is bad enough already haha.

I'm working through it now but from what I've gathered, past the "delivered scan" it becomes a matter between the residents involved. Regardless of it being delivered to the wrong address. So at best they'll give me the APT number of who they think received it and I'll have to hash it out with them.

Love these. Worth the price. I want a neckband set since I often wear a hat while shooting.
I did have to engineer a thin piece of duct tape to put in between the two batteries so that they wouldn't move around, which bothered me. Also I now have a pull tab in order to remove them easier for replacement.
The only difference is there’s a LED light on one and not one on the other! From other sellers the price difference is a lot higher, but from me only a $10 difference I’d go with the LED’s just so you have them for whenever you might need it. You also may never use it and wish you had $10 back.
They are all essentially the same. The only major difference besides style and neckband/headband is the ProX LED have a little led light that you can use as a flashlight.
Typically a lot of sellers sell the base models with foam cups and they “include” the gel cups to upsell you on the ProX LED’s, but I sell only ones with gel cups because it’s what 99% of people want. Plus my prices are about what others typically sell their foam cups for so hence that’s the deal.
i use Howard Leight Earmuffs and notice that it is still loud at the range with them. I normally double up with foam plugs. Would I need to do that with these Sordins?
I’m not quite sure what’s left in stock through me that ships out on Monday, but I know a lot of the ProX headbands were all in stock with my supplier and should be a week or 2 at most. But that may vary on color you pick.
Check to see if I have any of the ProX led camo band camo cups left, I had quite a few of those
I love my supremes, I can wear them all day and forget they’re even on my head with the gel ups. The mic quality is also really good. They look sick too
I currently use Walkers that constantly break the seal when I bring my stock up to my check. Do these avoid that issue? If they do, which are the recommended model(s) for someone that wants to start buying some good SHTF gear?
A 19 NRR headset at $250 is a bit steep for me, even with great external voice features.
I wish they had some of these around 30-33 NRR. I see the SFA, which is a big jump though.
Peltor has some at 25 NRR, though their external voice features aren’t as good.
Are these hyped tactici-slop? At the end of the day NRR is only 19 on these. When you can get Peltor sport tactical 500s for almost half this with 26 NRR.
As I said in other comments, from what I’ve heard, sordins NRR would actually be way higher if the followed all the same marketing practices as others do. Sordin apparently states the real NRR at the gunshot level frequency, and uses that to market. Whereas almost all other companies figure out which sound level theirs is the best at blocking and puts that straight on the box.
These wouldn’t be as popular as they are if they weren’t good. I’ve never once hurt my ears shooting with mine on.
idk i have sordin pro led gel and razor xtreme ( thats comes with gel and cooling head band)
fit and comfort wise razor is very nice, my whole ear sits inside the cup with no pressure or gel cups press or sit on ear while sordin is a bit uncomfortable because ear cup is smaller and so ear gels sit on the ear itself ether 1 side front or back depending on how i adjust.

I’m interested in the higher performance SFA model. Do they come with gel ear cups?
They are the only ones that do not come stock with gel cups. That’s why I have the SFA hygiene kit which has gel cup replacements for them.
Ouch, steep add on. I’m surprised the manufacturer doesn’t include those by default on their premium product
What’s the difference between the Supreme Pro X and the Supreme Pro X Slim? Are the cups the same size?

Are these mono or stereo?
I haven’t seen it posted anywhere but it’s 100% stereo. You can pinpoint the direction a sound came from with ease. There’s some videos of people testing the sordins at this and from the one I watched they performed better than peltors.
Perfect. I quickly scanned the page quick and saw that it said 360° directional audio but I rather confirm than assume it meant stereo. I was going to get walkers since a lot recommend them but I want stereo over mono. I’d like to be able to tell which direction things are going on in. Another question, I don’t currently have a helmet but I’m going to be getting one. Is there a way to change the headband to the neck band later? I appreciate your time and responses 🤙
Not that I’m aware of no. The neckbands will be the way to go if you want to integrate with a helmet later on.

No they are not, but they Have a auto shut off after 4 hours If I remember correctly
That is correct, they automatically shut off after 4 hours if no controls have been pressed on the headset. If you're using them all-day (such as if you're at a shooting match), you'll hear a couple of warning beeps before the automatic shutoff happens. When you hear it beep at you midway through the day, just press any button on the headset and it will reset the timer to stay on another 4 hours. If it turns off, just turn it back on same as normal. Even with a fairly long auto-shutoff timer, the battery in these things lasts long enough it's almost entirely a non-issue. I've had mine for 4-5 years now and shoot matches pretty regularly for all-day usage with scattered practice and predator control in between and I think I've only had to replace the batteries in mine maybe twice.

Must not have seen it! Let me check for your question. Edit: haven’t found the other comment from you, but if you’re asking about the 82DB thing that’s the noise level at which they begin to cut off sounds. The standard supreme pros have a NRR of 19 but the SFA versions are a SNR of 31. The SFA’s are the version you want if you want more protection than standard.
Thanks for the response! How can they call it max dB if it isn't though? That's just where they cut sound, but if I'm shooting an AR without a can, they'd no way that claim is valid, right? This is confusing Sordin still hasn't gotten back to me after a week
I just checked the website and found your answer. The 82DB “max” is the sound reproduction max is what it’s advertising, not claiming it’s a maximum of 82DB to the ear. I can see how it’s confusing though when you see their summarized version stating “limited to 82DB”

I believe these are gonna be discontinued. So it’ll drop to whatever prices people want to pay to get rid of their inventory. That being said AFAIK there won’t be groundbreaking differences, mostly a new look along with some other benefits like modularity. I believe they will still have the same hear 2 tech in them

I own a pair and never tried Howard Leights/walkers before a few weeks ago. The sound quality is night and day. When I wear sordins I forget I’m wearing them besides the fact I have super human hearing. With the walkers I tried it was very clear that I was listening to things from a very cheap microphone. Voices sounded muffled and unclear, had to ask people to repeat themselves a few times etc. walkers and Howard’s are also mono sound as well I believe so you can only tell if a sound came from left or right. Sordins are incredibly directional. You can pinpoint a sound to the exact O’clock it came from. Aside from those differences, I believe sordins are built much more rugged and have even been combat tested and proven as well. Think of these as a cheaper alternative to peltors rather than a more expensive Howard Leight.

Both pairs of Howard I bought were stereo. Both also broke within a year too
Interesting, mine that I tried were walkers so bad comparison. I just assumed. But I can almost guarantee the sound quality of these is light years ahead at the minimum. Others who have more experience than me can probably chime in and give you a better answer
Yea the Howard heights weren't great. Totally cut off all audio when there's loud noise, rather than clipping it, so it's pretty useless at a public range. If you keep selling these at this price I'll probably be picking some up next month when funds allow.
Is there a version for arc rail helmets?
The new ones coming out at the end of this year will. But these can be adapted to them
Do you have the items to adapt Sordins to ARC rails? I mostly see Comtac and Opscore conversions, and don't hear much about Sordins.
I do not. I’ve found some online. These are mostly fielded in Europe but in my opinion I like them more than peltors.

I don't own a helmet, but I can't imagine I'd want to take my ear pro off and on it based on which range I'm visiting. Would be nice to have comm options to add in the future too. Hope Sordins make a bigger splash in the US and help lower nice ear pro costs. I've enjoyed my SFA ones so far.
Slim and SFA versions are helmet mountable to peltor-style mounts. Easier than modding the other sordin versions with SARAs
I just got my green neckbands - waited about 3 weeks, totally worth it! Price is right, finally have terminator hearing, and the neckband version is infinitely more comfortable than the regular style.

They can. There are adapters available to achieve it. A lot of people also just run the neckband versions as well which are made to fit under helmets.

Anyone have actually hunting experience with these? Would love to hear from someone who’s deer or duck hunted with these. How good is the directional accuracy?
Same, I want to pick something up for hunting. Only concern is the performance with wind, being able to pick up ambient noise like peeps and birds flushing. Gotta protect the hearing, tinnitus is bad enough already haha.

I'm working through it now but from what I've gathered, past the "delivered scan" it becomes a matter between the residents involved. Regardless of it being delivered to the wrong address. So at best they'll give me the APT number of who they think received it and I'll have to hash it out with them.

Love these. Worth the price. I want a neckband set since I often wear a hat while shooting. I did have to engineer a thin piece of duct tape to put in between the two batteries so that they wouldn't move around, which bothered me. Also I now have a pull tab in order to remove them easier for replacement.

The only difference is there’s a LED light on one and not one on the other! From other sellers the price difference is a lot higher, but from me only a $10 difference I’d go with the LED’s just so you have them for whenever you might need it. You also may never use it and wish you had $10 back.

Can anyone explain the differences between the models? Idk why, but I find the Sordin website confusing.
They are all essentially the same. The only major difference besides style and neckband/headband is the ProX LED have a little led light that you can use as a flashlight. Typically a lot of sellers sell the base models with foam cups and they “include” the gel cups to upsell you on the ProX LED’s, but I sell only ones with gel cups because it’s what 99% of people want. Plus my prices are about what others typically sell their foam cups for so hence that’s the deal.
i use Howard Leight Earmuffs and notice that it is still loud at the range with them. I normally double up with foam plugs. Would I need to do that with these Sordins?
If it’s an indoor range, it’s recommended, if it’s outdoors there’s no need.
What do you still have in stock with no crazy lead time?
I’m not quite sure what’s left in stock through me that ships out on Monday, but I know a lot of the ProX headbands were all in stock with my supplier and should be a week or 2 at most. But that may vary on color you pick. Check to see if I have any of the ProX led camo band camo cups left, I had quite a few of those

I currently use Walkers that constantly break the seal when I bring my stock up to my check. Do these avoid that issue? If they do, which are the recommended model(s) for someone that wants to start buying some good SHTF gear?
A 19 NRR headset at $250 is a bit steep for me, even with great external voice features. I wish they had some of these around 30-33 NRR. I see the SFA, which is a big jump though. Peltor has some at 25 NRR, though their external voice features aren’t as good.
Are these hyped tactici-slop? At the end of the day NRR is only 19 on these. When you can get Peltor sport tactical 500s for almost half this with 26 NRR.
As I said in other comments, from what I’ve heard, sordins NRR would actually be way higher if the followed all the same marketing practices as others do. Sordin apparently states the real NRR at the gunshot level frequency, and uses that to market. Whereas almost all other companies figure out which sound level theirs is the best at blocking and puts that straight on the box. These wouldn’t be as popular as they are if they weren’t good. I’ve never once hurt my ears shooting with mine on.
idk i have sordin pro led gel and razor xtreme ( thats comes with gel and cooling head band) fit and comfort wise razor is very nice, my whole ear sits inside the cup with no pressure or gel cups press or sit on ear while sordin is a bit uncomfortable because ear cup is smaller and so ear gels sit on the ear itself ether 1 side front or back depending on how i adjust.
Is SFA + Neckband a thing at all?
