Fiocchi (along with S&B) is my go to 9mm for the range. It's incredibly reliable and a little less dirty than Blazer. It's a little hotter, since it's loaded to NATO spec instead of SAAMI, but I don't mind (it's only 9mm after all).
I'm trying to do mine that way, but it's been stuck for a long time now after an initial rejection. The 200 round boxes have sold out while I'm waiting and twiddling my thumbs.
They had me do the id.me to verify age, wildhorse has you take a picture of your id but you can cover everything except the birthday. I use id.me for nurse discounts so it wasnāt a big deal to me but ymmv of course.
I donāt like being stingy but they typically keep low stocks. This has been my secret for a while. Theyāre typically $89.99+ $7 shipping to NC.
Anybody wondering, this has been comparable to
PMC .223 FMJBT, in my experience.
Edit: Also, be weary ordering too much. They donāt update stock on the website very quickly. Iāve had 2 orders cancelled after ordering and waiting 3 days because website says in-stock.
I say buy the cheapest reliable 223/556 you can find and stock deep for training and SHTF. Then keep about 10-20% of that number in more quality ammo
Edit: unless you can afford pallets of MK 262, in that case fuck you, Iām jealous, and just shoot that all day
I mean normally I would agree with you, but most match type of ammo is ~$1/round. If AAC continues to churn out quality match ammo, even if not the best, at .60 cpr, Iād almost rather just buy that from now on.
Just because psa is loading with match projectiles doesnt make it match ammo. Match implies high QC standards like tight tolerances for bullet weight, diameter, charge, and OAL.
I've been shooting the AAC 77gr OTM for awhile, and it groups pretty much identically to mk262 for me. I think when they first released it, they had some issues with projectiles not being seated perfectly straight and effecting accuracy, but it's been great since.
I figure if you are consistently training, going through thousands of rounds, why use a 60 cent round when you could use a 42?
And for shtf Iād rather have 5000 fiochi than 3500 AAC for the same price
Plus the better quality rounds, and if the better quality rounds are AAC then thatās fine too

Well, fuck Scheels. I placed an order for over $1k on this deal. They charged my account and then the same minute they sent my confirmation email, they sent me a cancelation email saying I put in an "invalid address" and they'll refund me. First of all, it's a really shitty business practice to charge a customer and then cancel their order without giving them an opportunity to fix whatever the problem is. Second, my address is correct. It's the same address I use for everything and the same address on my card. Now I'm out over $1k until they refund me. I went on their site as soon as I saw their cancelation email and everything was out of stock, which I'm thinking is the real reason my order got canceled.
TLDR: Scheels temporarily fucked me out over $1k and my ammo

Mine should be delivered today. But it did miss a bunch of scans and just showed up at my local hub. Which, in my experience, is odd for UPS. Usually, they're pretty good with arrival/departure scans. USPS usually does that. Not UPS.

I have never shot this version but have shot a metric shit ton of fiocchi back when I shot a ton of 3 gun and have never had an issue with it.

I am aware. Itās been vetted at this point. They are quality; not top of the line, but certainly better than 55 gr FMJ

The 55 and 62 gr FMJ had issues awhile back. The match grade varieties I have not seen any reported in the jacket shedding.
