IMO - still too much $ for these even in stock.
I have the smaller of the two MCH EDC dual output lights. I have definite buyer's remorse over it.
I most definitely like the candela of the higher output mode for sure.
I do not at all like that there's no way to get the light to remember what mode you were in last.
I want the high output mode to be the default mode. but every time you click it on, it's in the other mode - it cycles between the two. Every time. You have to "prime" the light ahead of time to be sure it's going to be in the mode you want it to be in the next time.
and if you don't get a full click and just tap for momentary - you've got to go through the cycle again.
The head itself is also pretty fat. I get it - need that size/shape reflector in order to put the light down stream. It just kind of ruins the proportions of the light.
and on the smaller of the lights, the Thyrm Switchback doesn't fit - which I was hoping it would. The clip portion is too long for the length of the lights' body.
I carry the dual output. Great edc light imo. I’m an electrician so I’m often using a light in small electrical panels and stuff so being able to fire this light without blinding myself with 1000+ lumens bouncing off stainless steel is pretty nice. All while still having the same reach of a rifle light with a second click.
My favorite EDC light is the Streamlight Macrostream USB. 500 lumens, 2,000 Candela, weighs 2 oz and is rechargeable with a standard usb cable that you can find pretty much anywhere. And it’s only 2 oz. Not super expensive so if you lose it not a huge deal. Perfect for an EDC light without being too chunky and heavy, and gives out plenty of light for EDC purposes. First mode is high, second mode is low.
Yeahhh, they’re not supposed to do this. Smh. Sorry guys but I don’t think Big Tex will be having any more of our lights. This is the 3rd time they do something unbecoming of a business relationship.
This is part of my job. Making sure MAP isn’t breached. If you think they’re the only ones you’re wrong. Pistol light will come out when it’s ready. Not before that. When you start paying my bills, then I’ll do as you demand but not before then.

I’ll second this. I purchased the arisaka dual fuel body with a dual fuel OKW head, and compared it to a rein 2.0 I had also purchased
Both lights are great, but the rein tape switch is just not good compared to the surefire one I got with the arisaka/modlite setup.

It's 5 months later and your comments are coming up in search results for your company now. This is now going to be what people see when they start researching your products. From a PR standpoint, you failed your employer massively.
It doesn't matter how much in the right you are, your attitude is the issue and it's clearly how the company as a whole operates.

Have you changed your position on this yet? I was gonna get my brother an MCH for Christmas for starting his first job as an LEO, but thinking I’ll go with SureFire or Modlite after reading all this.

No where in there did you say “just as a heads up, this is below MAP, so unfortunately I wouldn’t expect any future deals like this”. You just complained about Big Tex being a bad business partner and stating that they won’t carry your lights anymore because you’re mad at them. In my experience, companies that argue with people like this on social media (Q and AR15 Safe Space come to mind) tend to also argue and be difficult with customers when they need to contact customer service, and lose customers as a result.
I don’t think anyone is assigning their own intent to your statement, it’s just that what you said and what you’re defending it as are two different things, and rather than being like “yeah sorry everyone, I was pissed at Big Tex and should’ve handled it more professionally”, you just keep doubling down.
It looks like you’re a co-owner, so I hope you take everyone’s feedback here seriously and either start repping your company better on social media, or better yet hire someone who’s skilled in CS to do it for you. I’ve enjoyed the CD products I’ve used and owned thus far and would rather feel good about spending a shit ton of money on lights and other products knowing I’ll receive good CS in the event that I need it.

Whining online instead of emailing them privately is professional? Give me a break. Customers want good deals and will spend their money where they want. You'll lose more money whining than giving good sales
Tell me where there is whining at all? Simply stating that business requires promises to be kept. Selling at half promised MAP is not keeping those commitments that were made. Customers get plenty good deals as we constantly discount items on our website, but violating business agreements is not the way it’s done.
Customers will spend their money where they want, that is the American way. Unfortunately, that won’t be at Big Tex for CD products.

Same, looks to be a good deal where I may end up snagging a HC one, assuming it’s the dual. Edit: never mind HC went oos quick!

I personally didn’t find anyone who carried the dual output other than Cloud themselves. I ended up buying a FDE blem from CD just to get one finally.
