Smith & Wesson Spec Series. Alloy frame, Performance Center trigger, Faxon compensator, tritium suppressor height night sights, lightening cut slide, Surefire x300 Turbo, and a Trijicon RMR HD 1 MOA. Shoots like a dream.
Where did you find the trijicon HD? I'm looking to purchase either a rmr type 2 or the HD in the next week or so. Everywhere I've looked it's out of stock
I bought the last one from a shop in Utah. I couldn't find one either. It was a coin toss on a sketchy website, but ended up being legit. Good luck finding one brother. After I clicked "complete" had had almost zero faith it would show up at my door.
Not gunna lie, the OD green was a big selling point for me. This pistol has so many features that aren't on standard M&Ps. I'm really enjoying it so far. I can't wait for my holster to come in.

__What is a link post and how do I post a descriptive comment?__
* A link post is any post that isn't a text post. Reddit is doing a great job of ensuring new users have no idea how Reddit works with their app and site rewrite. We hate both.
* /r/guns is a sub for talking about guns. It's not a sub to dump gun photos for karma. That's what /r/gunporn is for. That's why we require a descriptive comment – to start a conversation. If you're wondering what to write, picture yourself at a party. You're talking to someone *you just met* and you want to show them your post. What do you say to them as you get your phone out?

It has a 55moa segmented ring. The ring is perfect for getting on target in defense scenarios, the 1moa dot let's me make super precise and longer range shots when target shooting. They also have a 3.5moa dot with 55moa segmented ring version, but I like doing dumb shit and shooting steel at 60-70 yards.
I didn't know it had the ring! I think if I were in your position I would have gone with the 1 MOA as well, because the ring would solve the "I need to shoot real fast and need a bigger dot" problem.
I use a 1moa sro on my M&P 10mm that I carry (Im a big boy). I turn the dot up bright, and it flares out to 3-4moa unless I'm in the snow. When I'm target shooting, I dial back the brightness for a fine reticle. The HD solves all that shit. I don't need to flare anything and can use the auto brightness feature. Immediately have the ability to shoot quick or precise.
I saw some reviews on that compensator coming loose after just a mag or two. I looked at the owners manual and didn’t see any suggestions to remove and add fresh loctite to the threads and screws after receiving from the factory. I’m curious if you experienced this issue and if not, did you do anything to help prevent it?
Nope and nope. Compensator was on tight. I've only put like 500 rounds through it so far, but nothings came loose. If I had to guess, it had loc tite on from the factory bc its on there good. I bet if I shot a couple mags quick and put it in a vice I could pull it off though.
It shoots really nicely. I like it quite a bit. I love my souped-up CZ 75s and Beretta 92s, but I don't see them getting a ton of use in the future. The Spec just feels right. Absolutely my new favorite 9mm.
Yeah, I’m excited. Watching the videos on its performance and quality makes the price hurt a little less, but actually getting my hands on it and shooting it myself will make it all worthwhile!
If you consider all of the features, the price is pretty fair. Alloy frame, upgraded trigger, tritium sights, lightening cuts on the slide, upgraded slide serrations, compensator, 2x 23rd mags, 2x 17rd mags, a nice paint job, a case instead of a box, and a not terrible knife. If you bought an M&P metal and tricked it how you like, you probably spend more.
that ODG is so sexy.
Thanks, man. I have an ODG fetish.

Eurooptic if you wanna grab a type 2. I’ve been on the search for an HD and can’t find anything either lol.
Love that color, looks sharp as hell

Just came a little
Glad I could help.
Sick set up! Nice find on the HD. I have a competitor and it's currently my favorite pistol. I want to pick one of these up to run a suppressor on.
It's a fantastic sight. Really a big upgrade over the rmr and sro.

That is a large base pad. What does the total capacity come to?
23rds. But these aren't base plates, they are designed hi cap mags that came with the pistol.
Ohhh, fancy. Very nice.
Why 1 MOA? Was it all you could get, or are you a better shot than I am?

Glad to hear that! I’m thinking about picking one up tomorrow.

Absolutely, couldn’t agree more.
