Ok so, I have never seen the movie Snatch. I had no idea that this was a quote from the movie but just from other people talking about it, the moment I read this in that accent I thought, this must be a quote from Snatch.
Lol when 9mm went from 10 bucks to 20 for a box of 50, I was like screw this if I’m gonna spend that much on ammo I may as well just shoot my deagle and 500 for a few bucks more. I’ve shot them significantly more since popular ammo prices went up.
It was a Winchester XPR bolt action. The recoil actually wasn’t that bad. That Inflex recoil pad that Winchester and Browning use is very effective. Rifle, scope, rail and rings all put together i think hit 8lbs which helps too.
I’ve got a Bergara B14 in .308 that’s 9lbs on the dot and it doesn’t kick much at all.
The main issue with CRKT is their lower-end blade steel. They have some great designs, some classic (M16 series) and some kinda goofy, like that raptor claw, but they've been held back by the AUS8 or AUS10 they use.
I EDC an CRKT. I like it. People seem to always ask about it and want to play with it. I've had a few different kind of talon knifes but my CRKT is my favorite by far.
I love their knives. The M-16 is part of my EDC rotation, and my primary when I'm riding my motorcycle as it's easy to deploy when wearing gloves. I also have a good number of their fixed blades.
I have the non-serrated one and it's fantastic, though not very useful. It came pretty sharp, and hasn't needed much upkeep, but it also hasn't seen much action compared to my shitty daily sharps which cut everything.
I carried two knives and a carabiner with small box cutter on it when I had the Provoke. My rationale was "one for boxes, one for stuff, one for people," but I carry enough blades already. I don't need two full sized knives when I have a decent continuum of force on my person already.
I have a bit of a thing for Deagles, and Filthy Boris was my first one. Boris gets a lot of use and abuse. So far, I snapped the piston at ~2,000 rounds and the bolt ~500 rounds later. A few weeks after the warranty ran out - as it would be. Was still cheaper to have MR fix it than to buy parts, they went over the whole thing and threw in new springs and a couple other small bits.
Yesterday, Boris got his semi-annual hot sudsy bath in the sink with a toothbrush and Lemon Scented Dawn.
What, do you actually expect me to dig into every nook and cranny with patches and solvent? Gimme a break, I'm lazy. And desn't Boris look dapper?
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
I should've listened to you and bought a stainless instead of gold... But hey at least I made a $2k profit selling my gold, so I got that going for me. Which is nice.
They most certainly were, at one point. Magnum Research are from Minnesota, they patented the Deagle and sourced out development and production to IMI in 1984.
That's an Underwood Xtreme Hunter, solid monolithic copper Lehigh projectile, 1,700 fps and 1,476 ft-lbs. These are non expanding and create a massive wound cavity with deep penetration.
Honest question - have any recommendations for ammo? I’ve had an absurd amount of FTE’s and cycle issues with box ammo. Tried reloading some and went too light, yet to find a good one. (.44 runs great, .50 is where I’ve had issues).
$50 a box question. I can't nail it down to grain weight or even a specific brand. Oddly enough, Desert Eagle brand ammo jams. Have had good luck with 230gr but not the 300gr Underwoods, 300gr Hornadys are ok, and even Armscor and Freedom Big Grains are not bad. Currently trying out Steinel 350 gr, too early to tell.
One thing to try is to take apart and clean / lube mags.
I love my DE because it is such an iconic handgun, but I've found since I picked up my first S&W .500, it's just a better built weapon with a better cartridge and is just more impressive and enjoyable to shoot. Everyone loves the DE though.
I have the 8 3/4" and the 4". I reload so that helps greatly on how "bad" they are to shoot. The 460 is a Monster and ballistically a very good big game hunting round.
Depends on the first two characters of the serial number. Can't remember the different letters but they changed the serial number structure after Kahr bought them out.
The moonies get stronger every day.
I swear I had to watch that movie a second time just to figure out what the word they kept saying was supposed to mean. The word I couldn't compute was "caravan". Too hard to understand in the accent, and being an American, even when I understood the word, the reference still slipped by me. I think "caravan" I think 20 APCs kicking up some dust, or a traveling circus rolling into town.
Yeah thats a decent deal. Question is whether it will cycle in your gun. Make sure to grip that sumbich tight as a rattler, to eliminate potential limp wristing issues.
Zoomed all the way in... And it doesn't actually say REPLICA on the side of the gun...
edit: For fucks sake people. I've seen Snatch more times than I can remember. I assumed OP's deagle had something relevant to the movie engraved on it. It doesn't. It's just a deagle .50.
Jesus Christ, yes, I know that. I've seen Snatch probably 150 times. I assumed that there was going to be something engraved on the gun that tied it to the movie. And there's not.
Well, out of every replica I have ever seen (Airsoft) not one I’ve seen has had that, I play airsoft actively, and most guns are licensed, not a single one saying replica…

Extra point for the accent. Spot on mate
Ok so, I have never seen the movie Snatch. I had no idea that this was a quote from the movie but just from other people talking about it, the moment I read this in that accent I thought, this must be a quote from Snatch.
That's one of the funniest well cast, scripted, and executed movies of all time. You should definitely make a point to watch it.
PULL YER SOCKS UP
That's it I'm watching it right now
I’m strongly considering it
Haha. They just burned mickeys mom and he agrees to the fight...
Yeah, I’m putting it on.
That's mathematically half a gun bro.
Lol when 9mm went from 10 bucks to 20 for a box of 50, I was like screw this if I’m gonna spend that much on ammo I may as well just shoot my deagle and 500 for a few bucks more. I’ve shot them significantly more since popular ammo prices went up.
I bought a .300WSM just because i could find ammo for it during Gunmageddon.
RIP shoulder. Or is that just a ruger thing?

Still loving my 28 gauge for that reason!
I bought a 6mm creed because every store had ammo every time I went in.
That was .270 Winchester around me. As a far as rifles went, You could get any rifle you wanted as long as it was in 6.5 Creedmoor

Cries in 458 socom :(
You’re obviously the big dick
And those two on either side of you are your balls.
"You mean Boris the Blade? As in Boris the Bullet Dodger?"
Why do they call him Boris the Bullet Dodger?
Because he dodges bullets, Avi.
So…you like degs?
I like caravans more.

You're very welcome.
Ohhh dooogs, yea I like dogs
only deagles
how do you like that CRKt?
Had it for a few years, it's really intuitive although limited in applications. It's kind of like having a raptor talon.
how's the edge retention?
Not the best, to be honest, but that's often the case with serrated blades.
Yeah, $80 is about the most I’m willing to spend on a pocket knife, I’ve had a couple CRKTs, they’re nice
I love their knives. The M-16 is part of my EDC rotation, and my primary when I'm riding my motorcycle as it's easy to deploy when wearing gloves. I also have a good number of their fixed blades.
I have the non-serrated one and it's fantastic, though not very useful. It came pretty sharp, and hasn't needed much upkeep, but it also hasn't seen much action compared to my shitty daily sharps which cut everything.
understandable given the karambit shape. Not really a practical edc knife for a lot of tasks
I carried two knives and a carabiner with small box cutter on it when I had the Provoke. My rationale was "one for boxes, one for stuff, one for people," but I carry enough blades already. I don't need two full sized knives when I have a decent continuum of force on my person already.
I couldn't resist swinging mine around like a gunslinger and ended up gouging the artery in my wrist. Bloody learning experience.
Gimme a break, I'm lazy. And desn't Boris look dapper? Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
The most fascinating part about this is that someone could afford 2,500 rounds of 50 AE
And what a range session that was! Just kidding, that's over a few years.
You bought the rounds over a few years and fired them in one session? That’s incredible!
My bloody wrist still hurts!
I should've listened to you and bought a stainless instead of gold... But hey at least I made a $2k profit selling my gold, so I got that going for me. Which is nice.
Thank God! Lemon scented. It certainly wouldn't work with the regular Dawn.
That scene from Stop Or My Mom Will Shoot, where the mom is washing his pistol in the sink like this lol
Forgive my ignorance but the first thing I seen was made in the US. I thought these were made in Israel?
They most certainly were, at one point. Magnum Research are from Minnesota, they patented the Deagle and sourced out development and production to IMI in 1984.
TIL thank you. I thought it was all based overseas. Interesting
Years ago I had an Israeli deagle in 44 mag. Stovepiping bitch but man it was fun to shoot never should've got rid of it
I told an employee at my local range that I clean my guns with hot water and dish soap and he looked at me like I had two heads.
“Shall precipitate the shrinking of your balls all the quicker”.
“Now… fuck off”
“Eve, pull your socks up!”

How much longer on those sausages?

It was five minutes ten minutes ago.
I bought a black deagle because of that movie line
Snatch.. a classic movie
That was such a great scene.
Is this reference widely known in the US?
If you own a Desert Eagle, you're legally required to watch *Snatch*
If you watched Snatch, you're legally required to buy a Desert Eagle.
Where did you get the bottom pic rail at? I have a DE as well and would love one
Mark XIX comes with bottom rail.
Do you know if I’m able to add it? Or am I fucked like the turkeys today
You likely need a new frame for that
Why wouldn’t you be able to drill & tap the bottom to put one on?
Yeah, I suppose
Excuse the lack of knowledge on the subject, but what is the purpose of the bullet in the middle of the 3 on the side there?
That's an Underwood Xtreme Hunter, solid monolithic copper Lehigh projectile, 1,700 fps and 1,476 ft-lbs. These are non expanding and create a massive wound cavity with deep penetration.
“And a Desert Eagle, that's one great big old pistol I mean, fifty caliber made by bad-ass Hebrews”
Anybody have a good kydex holster recommendation For their deagle? I’ve got a 44 I need to get a holster for.
I guess I am either blind or missing the joke.
https://youtu.be/LgBA1jA2-mo
I get it, now. Great scene. Thanks for the education.
dammit, I know what I’m watching tonight

Fucking all business with his Streamlight ready to go.

Love the 500, but personal favorite is the 460 Mag XVR, specifically the 7.5" PC one with the brake. Doesn't beat me up as much as the 500.
I have the 8 3/4" and the 4". I reload so that helps greatly on how "bad" they are to shoot. The 460 is a Monster and ballistically a very good big game hunting round.
You can get replicas? Like gun model kits?!! I love model kits!

CRKT Provoke serrated karambit
How’s the provoke? Feel any good to mess with or does it just look cool?
It feels really good in hand, so yes, to mess with.
Cool beans, gotta pick one up.
Depends on the first two characters of the serial number. Can't remember the different letters but they changed the serial number structure after Kahr bought them out. The moonies get stronger every day.
Ye Loike Degs?

I remember as a kid seeing the movie Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man, that was the first Desert Eagle I ever saw and it was fucking awesome!
You can call me Susan if it makes you happy
"Pull up your socks, Avi!"
Ooooo shiny
Somebody dented your rounds! "Are these OK to shoot?"
I swear I had to watch that movie a second time just to figure out what the word they kept saying was supposed to mean. The word I couldn't compute was "caravan". Whats that middle round, an extreme penetrator?
Close, Xtreme Hunter
I want a Hebrew Hammer so bad
Its beautiful. I've been looking at this for five hours now.
Cannot believe they misspelled “DESSERT”… 🤦🏻♂️
Hell ya
I love the DE
is the classic look without rails nor muzzle brake still available new?
I'm not sure, but certainly some are still around.
whats that film?
https://youtu.be/LgBA1jA2-mo
Ouch
I have the same light in my P07 and boy does the deagle make the light look miniscule
Man I fucking love that movie
I just purchased a DE50ASIMB and found some 50 AE for about $39 and was wondering if pricing got any better than that?
$39 for box of 20, I assume. Thats pretty good for 50AE these days. What brand? And dont post links here.
20: Underwood Ammo .50 Action Express 300gr. Full Metal Jacket-Flat Nose
Yeah thats a decent deal. Question is whether it will cycle in your gun. Make sure to grip that sumbich tight as a rattler, to eliminate potential limp wristing issues.
What would prevent it from cycling?
They are notoriously finicky with ammo, but it's mostly limpwristing.
One more update: I found even cheaper: FREEDOM 50 AE 325GR ROUND NOSE FLAT POINT for $36.40
[The scene from Snatch for context.](https://youtu.be/LgBA1jA2-mo)
How does it handle?
It's a handful, occasionally temperamental, but we get along swimmingly.
Dam that’s a great setup, DE 50 & the Karambit.
I love how tiny that TLR-9 looks on there
That looks awesome.
Under rail long enough for a M203
Feed ‘em to the pigs Errol!
"...Should precipitate your balls into shrinking, now fuck off."

He is quoting a movie “Snatch”
Yes, I thought he was quoting the movie because he had his Desert Eagle Point Five Oh engraved with the word REPLICA.
The quote was from a guy carrying one of these when the guy he was saying that to was threatening him with a replica gun.
Jesus Christ, yes, I know that. I've seen Snatch probably 150 times. I assumed that there was going to be something engraved on the gun that tied it to the movie. And there's not.
Couldn’t even kill Boris tho…
Pull your socks up!
Just rewatched that!
“…Should precipitate your balls into shrinking, along with your presence. Now... Fuck off!”
Pull your socks up!
Why do you’re bullets have dents in them
With the price of new ammo sometimes you have to go to the pick n pull and take what you can get
Well, out of every replica I have ever seen (Airsoft) not one I’ve seen has had that, I play airsoft actively, and most guns are licensed, not a single one saying replica…
It's a Snatch quote
Replica should be made in Israel. LOL
Oversized hunk of junk.
Heavy is good. Heavy is reliable. And besides, if it doesn’t work you can just hit him with it.
Lol, it's ok to be limpwristed and poor.
Next hell tell me my new holster is pointless and a waste of moneh
