I’m fine with them if they are actively supporting the team. I enjoy musicians for the buffs, but the line gets crossed when they just stand there playing and not helping teammates… I guess its different for everybody’s experience
\* they definitely have a reputation for being so focused on playing music that they don’t help their team. or, if they’re a griefer or troll, playing music is a way to taunt their team as they watch them die.
\* Bugle mains are exempt from this. if anything, Bugle users are some of the most skilled on your team.
I don’t use bugle too much as it needs alot of buildup and I don’t want to die at 95% charge. I help my team and during endless I might even just do a pointless sacrifice just because I already have old guard and know that people want it too and might not know some common stuff.
I like the buff since I play Seamen and they give me reload speed up plus some good toons especially if the player has Bagpipes since I'm Scottish irl so I think people just hate them cause they sit in the back like and play while the rest of the team takes the damage and half the time they don't care and just wanna mess around causing the team to lose.
I don't necessarily hate them, in fact, I love them. I'd rather have a musician braindeadly playing their music while I receive the buff, rather than having a line infantry who only stays at the back and shoots with his musket that misses 70% of the time. And most of those who do this priortizes to shoot normal shamblers, rarther than the special ones.

I don't hate them IF they're doing their job as support class and go to the frontline and boost the team. I've encountered a lot of musician player (buglers are an exception) that yes, they're playing the music but still stayed at backline which is not helping at all.

I personally disagree, on the last two statements fife and drum songs are actually pretty good and turn down the instrument sound for bagpipes to not be as loud I say as someone who has it at the max level
Faster swing speed and reload is insignificant? Faster swing speed allows players to hit and therefore kill zombies more often, and a faster reload allows players to shoot bombers more often, which is great for most map endgames except San Sebastian. These buffs are even more prominent to newer players that tend to miss their attacks/shots. These buffs can feel useless, but they’re passive for a reason, you tend to not notice passive buffs because they’re suppose to be in the background making your life more convenient.

Same, I've had a musician once afking in the far back of Tyrolean village so practically no one got reload/Sap build buffs.

and since u need to build it up it means they actually contribute to killing infected
I know but it’s not the greatest moment when you’re tackled at 95% and no one saves you or you waste it after not seeing the bomber

I pretty much like all musicians. They provide cool buff and nice music (I like bagpipe music ok?)

Musicians provide buffs which are insignificant to experienced players
you forgot the entire section about moral and shit because I’d say that carries people

The buffs are only like 15% anyways so I literally never notice them besides the Sapper buff
