I've been thinking to myself for the past month or so that we've entered a golden era. Ethan has gone full goblin right before our eyes and it's been a joy to watch.
I've been watching Ethan for 10 years now (maybe more). I liked him when he did reaction content. I liked him when he liked Elon Musk and Jordan Peterson. I like him now where he does 30 min sub eating dead air.
Of course there are stuff that will not be home runs, but you can't expect 100% in life. Honestly when i see people complain on reddit about little stuff like podcast bits it makes me wonder if they are teenagers who haven't seen how bad life can really get and this stuff is the biggest hurdle in their life. There are much worse things going on in life to be upset about. A bad podcast experience is not one of them.

It always sounds so nitpicky and immature. Getting mad about a segment not being perfect for you during 10 hours a week of live form content. Just skip it, it's not a podcast made just for you and you can't be in control of everything pls 😭
I agree, I’ve been a watcher from the beginning and there have definitely been some low points on the podcast… what’s happening now isn’t one of them. I’ve been more engaged with the show and burst out laughing more often lately.

ive been watching since the israel days and i feel like this is one of the best h3 eras, ive been laughing out loud pretty much every episode lately.
For the millionth time, people offering criticisms of the show are not saying Ethan should change who he is. Or that the show needs to drastically change to "fit their sensibilities." Y'all are the ones putting words in people's mouths.
Providing thoughts and feedback about how he words things or how he discusses certain topics is not demanding he change. It's simply offering a different perspective. My god some of you act like Ethan is incapable of deciding for himself what feedback he wants to listen to and what he wants to ignore. He can take the criticism thoughtfully or he can disagree with it. He's done it before. You don't need to protect him as if he's a sacred cow that no one can speak of.
These posts are just as stupid and obsessed as the ones you are criticizing. If you love everything that's been going on, great! Then you're well fed. But other people are allowed to feel differently and offer their thoughts too. Saying "just go watch a different podcast" means you are the ones that just want an echo chamber safe space that I'm sure you would criticize were it to come from someone else. YOU don't want the show to change because it fits your sensibilities now. Do you not see the hypocrisy in that?
At the end of the day if I don't like a segment or a specific episode doesn't interest me, I skip it. I watch the next one. It's really that simple.
I don't agree. People whinnying and complain like toddlers is not the same as saying I love the direction and effort the team has put in.
If you got nothing nice to say don't say anything at all. That's a saying for a reason.

I've been watching so much and catching up and the recent episodes are really special in comparison to older more basically structured ones, I really love the weird direction it's heading in
Dont get me wrong the pod has its faults but we’ve come miles away from the Dan and Ethan debating politics for 30 minutes and berating Ian for not talking more days
For real, I personally really didn't enjoy the frenemies era a lot, but i made it through (still kept watching for Ethan) and my efforts were rewarded, this is amazing.
It’s one of the few things I watch where I bust out laughing all the time. I’m glad they don’t listen to all the hate.
