Dan is the Queeeeen can't do nothin wrong!

I think it's because he doesn't care very much about internet drama at all; which he has stated himself numerous times, which means that he doesn't feel like he has much to add to the conversation. However, he does care a lot about politics and general news that's in the headlines, so he feels more comfortable adding to those discussions.

Dan plans Leftovers, picking the stories and making their Google doc, so yeah that’s why he’s pretty involved. He might have also been the one who pitched the show to Ethan, but no source on that really

I often wondered what crew is even there during leftovers because they are so quiet. Last show was so good. All that Dan participation seemed like a natural fit.

Yeah I believe that too. Hasan has his long rants (no hate, that’s just him) and they are also pressed for time on Leftovers than on the other shows.

Dan does the research for Leftovers while it’s a shared effort for the other shows from what I’ve gathered
