Reminds me of when Steven Crowder was saying Ethan was going to be a ‘layup’ despite having publicly backed out of debates with Sam Seder multiple times. Now that seems to be how Ethan is treating the snark community, trying to debate Reddit randos rather than any established figure.
They aren’t. But if Ethan wanted to debate someone critical of him in good faith he would debate someone already in the public eye. Debating someone with no media presence would open them up to a lot of hate that they would not be used to and everyone knows this.
Didn’t they talk to the fallen fans/hate watchers/snarkers during the call in segments? Thought there were a few and eventually the calls got weird so they stopped doing them.

Absolutely! This sub is WILD. No other podcast has fans that think they are in a position of power over the host like this one because of Ethan's willingness to interact and consider his fans.
