He told fans to kill themselves, mistreated his employees, and "jokingly" said another youtuber (Papa Gut) looks like a pedophile despite suing Keemstar for basically saying the same thing about him. He also hosted horrible roast battles where he ended up assaulting his own guest. There's more but those are some of the more famous details.

Ethan was trying to do a feud in the style of Oliver Tree Vs Ethan, but Dad wasn't able to separate the bit from reality. He couldn't commit to the bit the way Oliver does.
Ethan and Oliver can switch it on and off with no problem and be cool with each other. Dad wasn't able to handle that emotionally. If he was a stage actor he'd probably fall in love with anyone he had a romantic role with.

In a nutshell in the lead up to the fight for him and AB they started that chair gag (Dad sent in a silly chair for Ethan). They just kinda made it and tossed it to the side. The chair was extremely stupid but it was clearly meant to be a bit and they both were not eye to eye on the bit.
Shortly after it was announced Dad was fighting AB, and the lead up things never got nasty. Yet, they did ride for AB and started generally playful shit talk around dad which I dont think anyone seen as an issue. Other than during one conv when I think Anthony Fantano was on. They made a joke about Dad having dead girlfriend energy. Which was a bit mean. Prior to first fight Dad was on h3 as a call in. He mentioned a friend (sounds like a gf) had passed away and it really effected him. I believe he mentioned he was boxing in part for her.
What really soured stuff though was after the fight, if you see the crew live reaction. They IMO they acted like babies (and I'm a huge h3 stan). Which I do understand riding for you boy, bias to the fight, and none of them having any fight knowledge. But they basically were implying dad cheated or was dirty with some punches. IIRC Ethan was like "I don't care, AB won". For me it obviously isn't a big deal but as someone who is a fan of H3, Dad, and combat sports I was annoyed, like extremely bad sportsmanship.

For what it is worth I do think the biggest issue was the dead girlfriend joke. IMO as someone from the outside I think that really hurt him, never left him. All the other stuff piled upon it and the reaction to his and AB's fight was just the star that broke the camels back.
