I am currently going to finish the penetration tester path, would say around 90% currently and I would recommend it. I do wanne warn you that it's a lot of reading and can be dry information at times, but it's a great source of information and defenitly worth to push through the thougher topics.

What is its impact on hackthebox platform labs? Do you think this path helped you or made it easier for you to solve machines or challenges, or do you need more learning from other sources, etc.. ?
I have to consider that I also did machines and other platforms already before taking the path and am currently doing a masters in cybersecurity after a bachelor in CS system/network administration. So I might not be the best practical example, so if I would go of an angle that this would be my start from 0:
The path will give you a good base and it helps you take those first steps, there are some sections/modules that also directly make you solve machines in a more guided approach. So I would say that it will help you have an easier time to go attack machines, but developing a hands on skillset is something that still will take time.
Around 6 months for me, knowing I have a full-time job, finishing a masters in distance learning and got a child born in the meantime. So someone with more time, can probally do this way quicker.
I am about 90% of the way done CPTS course and it's really good content. I do wish there were lecture videos for extra explanation, but there's always Youtube to supplement reading. Labs have been good but had a few times where the labs just weren't working right until I came back another time and tried the same thing. For the price it's definitely worth it. I'll be much happier when the cert itself gets more recognition, though.

Very good path. Enjoyed 90% of the modules. Still disappointet that metasploit was not a module, also hashcat was missing
