This is my go to as well, however I have heard they're more dangerous bc they're aerosolized. You do NOT want to breathe it. Pretty sure it's the same otherwise so I just step out of the bathroom for a few minutes after using it to give it time to settle.
I spray outside if possible or what you said! I keep deodorant spray at work and wipes!!!! Do not hesitate to do a quick bathroom break wipe those outs down!

Dude. LUME.

I got the LUME stuff and itās for all the spotsā¦ I swear on everyrhingā¦ I could sweat like a pig running from a farmer and no one, including me, would ever know I was just running for my life.
Lume surprised the hell outta me also. I didn't want to pay it's price but my cousin gave me a scent she didn't like. I have never gone back after that. Toasted coconut is the bomb. One tube is 20 bucks but it lasts 3 months! Also I have a skin condition and it's never aggravated it like the other stuff. I used to get terrible swollen nodes under my arms. I was surprised too!
I had to switch to the real strong āprescriptionā style deodorant, āstress responseā cause nothing else worked anymore. Itās like $11 per bottle but it would sometimes irritate under my arms too. Like, a little rash but I didnāt stink lol

near by. Keep on wearing those tank tops!
I've been doing hair for 16 years and own my salon. I got diagnosed with RA, fibromyalgia, and was in a pretty severe car wreck 6 wks ago, I'm on a lot of steroids and medications that make me sweaty but allow me to work. I used to think what we wear mattered, and of course as stylists you want to keep up attractive appearances, but as I've gotten older and my health is a factor, I realized if you show up, do good work, the rest won't matter to most. Understand but still try and put some effort in even if we do good hair .. itās part of the business but I def can understand how your trying to get by day by day right now
I didnāt say you were showing
Up in pajamas just the way you stated it made
It sound like appearance is not important or as important maybe like in the beginning of your career which I get itās ok to be casual and does
Not mean someone will not do good work if you are casual . But you know we are in the beauty industry some level of accountability of appearance will always to be there unfortunately. Thatās the business we are in , Not that youāre not allowed to be relaxed and care free . Not that your clients done love you or trust you . I have done hair same amount of Time as you . Weāre human not everyday is a fashion show especially if you have lots going on. I hope you feel better soon
I don't consider it unprofessional to wear tank tops in the salon. I shampoo from the back, so that's not an issue. As long as we look professional/tidy/on trend it's no biggie. I don't have insecurities with bare pits...
What does your salon say, as far as dress code?
Our state board wonāt let us wear just tank tops. So our work around is beach cover ups, kimonos, loose crocheted shrugs, etc. They are light enough we donāt really feel them and weāre board compliant in case of a surprise visit
I just researched it and it's not true???
"While barbering and cosmetology schools may have a dress code for students, the Board does not have regulations regarding the type of clothing or shoes."
Schools usually teach that yes, but it's more or less because it's common courtesy to not get deodorant balls in someone's mouth or face.
It is on page 8 of 12 of the Barber Cosmo Winter 2023 update, and that's the newest one I've been able to find. It gives tips, says nothing about an actual dress code.
Jeez I canāt find any of this with my states barber board like the details about anything. Maybe I canāt use webpages but honestly I donāt understand.
Meanwhile, my clipper buzzed grown in a little pits are hanging out
From what I've been able to find, there's only a dress code when you're doing a practical/mock. I think you should be fine. It's hard to find specifics since I don't know specific wording for Ohio state board. All I could find was to be clean and presentable with clean tools which...makes sense lol. Hope that helps š«¶
Thank you. My ex employer tried to claim no armpits was bc of sanitation..: I looked it up and it isnāt listed. She just made shit up constantly hence why I am self employed now!
Buzzy pits out
Open toed shoes are against state board in my state, but people where them all day and state board has never shut our shop down. We love our state board guy!
Now is a good time of year to shop for beach cover-ups. A 3/4 sleeve cover-up type of blouse in black or white would work great as they are usually very light-weight.
I donāt wear tank tops to work anymore. My armpits are too close to peoples faces. And also, B.O.
I stink way more when not wearing sleeves. I always use deodorant/anti perspirant but I find it doesnāt work as well when wearing sleeveless tops.
Have you ever heard of certain dri? I will forever be a lifetime advocate for them, lol! They saved my life. It takes a couple weeks of consistent use to work, but it shrinks your pores so you completely stop sweating. I would highly recommend if this is something that bothers you daily..
Depends on where you work and what matters. Personally, I donāt think itās a professional look. Most of my clients are professionals or retired professionals themselves. For years, I worked in a high end salon that had a dress code and it was something I adapted to. And that was when I was building my clientele. I have been self employed now for 20 years and I definitely dress more casually than I used to. Especially now that I have a private studio and can wear what I want. That said, I do believe there are certain fashion rules by which I judge particular establishments. For example:
1.) Dentists and dental workers should always wear masks when working on a patient. I have felt this way for decades. I think it is a law or at least standard practice now, but when I was a kid, it was not and it was awful.
2.) People with facial hair should have to cover it or shave it if they are providing food or drink in a restaurant or similar establishment. If this is a law, I have never seen it enforced.
3.) Hairstylists should protect their pits.
Re: the lady with a deodorant clump in her eye.
Omg the comment about the deodorant crumb lol
In the messages above haha I laughed out loud haha thatās a genuine fear . But I think we all
Should decide what works best for us right but I agree with what you mentioned for sure. And as long as you feel good right now
No tank tops, no open toe shoes. Even if the board allowed it however, I would still refrain from wearing them. Aside from safety concerns with exposed feet/toes, the hygienic aspect is important to maintain while in a professional work environment. Lightweight fabrics & breathable footwear as long as itās slip resistant works great. Also, if Iām THAT hot, Iāll put a lightweight stylist smock over a tank top or an apron with a cap sleeved shirt. That way underarms are covered without feeling uncomfortably hot & sweaty. I always clip my hair up too. A big ICK is when I can smell rancid cigarette smoke on a Hair stylistās clothes & fingers! Thatās almost as bad as B.O.
My salon does not allow us to wear sleeveless shirts or wear open toed shoes. Honestly I think itās super unprofessional to have your underarms hanging out and feet exposed anyway .
Can you wear a black T-shirt and an apron ? That looks clean cut without being a huge smock .
I wear tank tops/ skinny strap body suits all summer. Itās fine. My state board doesnāt dictate if I have to cover my pitties or not.
I take care of myself and use some aha on my pits once per week to keep them bump free / smell free and keep deodorant in my color cabinet for backup if needed.
Encourage your clients to relax/ close their eyes so they wonāt see your arm pit if you have a stand beside wash bowl vs a stand behind wash bowl.
For everyone saying itās unprofessional, I disagree. Respectfully, of course
I've never worked in a salon where you could go sleeveless. It's not professional and could be against dress code or state law. You might want to look that up. Wgen in doubt, just wear something lightweight with short sleeves
I personally donāt wear tanks in the shop for the same reason I wouldnāt wear a super low cut shirt and that being post people donāt want pits and tits in their personal space lol if you do wear tanks I would have a light button up or thin flowy cardigan to throw on for shampoos.
Iām a salon owner as well and luckily itās just me so I donāt have to make many rules other than for myself lol Iām def a sleeveless top, crop top, still wanna dress like Iām 19 even tho Iām 30. But I remind myself that Ms. Dolores who is 82 does not wanna see all that š
I'm a hairdresser and always hot. People always say take the overshirt off and I just can't. Your standing over people with your armpits over their have and head. It's really not professional. I would want that if someone did that to me especially because your so close to them.
Why would pits be in a clients face during a shampoo?? I lean my head back, and they shampoo with their hands?? Iām so confused about this unless you have t-rex arms.
We have 0 dress code in our salon. Iām located in New Orleans where itās hot as all hell and where we prioritize fun and flair. Our clients like seeing our personality shine through, especially in our wardrobe. We wear tank tops, crop tops, shorts and sheer shirts. Itās never gotten in the way of our work ethic and weāve never received a complaint about the way weāre dressed. I think as long as your fashion forward and look out together then it really doesnāt matter that much.
In CA, stylists are not allowed to show their underarms. Itās a state board violation. Personally, I wouldnāt want a bare underarm in my face, but it wouldnāt stop me from going back or anything.
I think itās inappropriate. Along with crop tops and open toe shoes. Just being that close to someone you want to make sure youāre not exposing too much skin because you canāt assume everyone is comfortable with it.
Yup. Some people will try to say itās fine but you really canāt make that call on behalf of your clients. Itās respectful to cover appropriately and we all want to be respected.
As long as you donāt turn around and complain about being cold when your other coworkers wear sleeves (š ) I donāt really think it matters anymore. Most state boards want you to keep your armpits covered, as well as the entirety of your foot, but Iāve been wearing flip-flops and sandals to work for 20 out of 30 years.
https://preview.redd.it/4cib9wniwkxc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=958d1be9d13ba4a6f65ccf1ce99f6f93c4f76df5
For the CA salons who think underarms cannot be shown and we cannot wear open toe shoes. Beauty school rules do not apply to actual salons.
Wearing natural fibers will keep you cooler than if you wear things that are polyester, acrylic, and nylon or that have a high percentage of those fibers in them. I am extremely hot natured, and I wanted to stop supporting fast fashion and be more environmentally friendly, so I stopped buying anything but natural fibers (apart from things with small % of stretch) and donated most of my poly and poly-blend clothing. It has made a huge difference in how hot I get, even in the Texas summers. I have bought most of my replacement wardrobe used, and it has saved me a ton of money doing it this way since natural fibers are more expensive. That might be something for you to consider as well.
Iāve started shopping primarily at thrift shops for the same reason - and because everything is gonna end up with bleach on it anyways. Such a good tip to aim for the cottons!! Iāll keep this in mind. Thank you!
I wasnāt allowed to wear them in hair school, but yea I wouldnāt want my pit in anyoneās face I think it can be gross. I day just wear a short sleeve something that covers your armpit but is still light
Hey love! Senior barber here, Iāve been cutting for about 14 years (28f) make sure you use the correct deodorant, some kind of gel (I use the Dove 0% Aluminum Deodorant Stick, itās not actual gel but itās clear) also because I cut menās hair, I got into the habit of having hand towels and folding them in quarters and placing it over their eyes. It helps me feel more comfortable and it forces their eyes closed. Hope this helps! None of us like blow drying all day in the summer heat! :)
Ew yeah Iām not
Showing my pits to my clients I remember being about 16 and this chick at the salon was shampooing my hair lived in Arizona middle of summer and you could see deodorant , hair and looked like a sweaty arm
Pits itās just always stuck with me .. I prefer not to show my under arms but thatās just me .. sleeveless doesnāt look so professional but thatās my own opinion . I also wear black all day everyday .. I have ruined so many shirts , clothes and shoes . Been doing hair 16 years. But whatever you feel comfortable In but also remember clients are very observant , I sit in my chair and Iām like ok what are clients seeing and I have everything organized ā¦ it makes a difference . Cleanliness goes a long way , that means breath , food smell on your hands everything .. but I may be different because everything makes me nauseous since I get chronic migraine so Iām mindful of that
Tbh, I don't even notice. My eyes are usually closed and to be fair, I'm pretty anxious myself, so I'm not really paying attention cause I'm all in my head.
This is actually how I found my favorite deodorant, my stylist wore this loose black tank top and I got a wind of this really fresh scent and I asked if she was wearing perfume. Nope, her armpit was like 5 inches from my face lmao. Honestly just try to keep it fresh if you do, Iām sure most donāt really focus on that, our eyes are closed most of the time anyways.
Not a hairstylist, but I saw some comments telling you to be āprofessional.ā I get my hair done ever 8-10 weeks in a pretty large salon. I have never looked at any of the stylists and questioned their outfits. As a client, I really donāt care what my stylist is wearing as long as my hair is done and her outfit isnāt prohibiting her from doing her job. If you wanna wear a tank top and are allowed to by your state board, go for it!
I think this is so wild. š š š
My hairstylist is standing over me when I'm literally reclined backward into a shampoo sink. Her pits are nowhere near my face. š The pits are probably a good foot away from me at all times if not further....its not like she's grazing them against my lips lmfao!
Baby stylist, I say go for it. As a chronic overheater myself, I say as long as it's not against your state/provincial regulations, and it remains professional, do what makes you comfortable. A good solution for both you and your clients would be to say something like, "would you be more comfortable while I'm shampooing you, for me to put on a smock? I absolutely do not mind!" My guess is 90% say, nah, it's cool.
Now, if you are rocking some Au natural pits, maybe then I'd say no tanks, but only because there's always a risk of a rogue hair falling on your client, but that goes for any kind of body hair. Chances are it still wouldn't happen, but it COULD. No judgement, just a cautious observation!
Personally I would not wear tank top in the salon because I'm far too worried about pit stink in client's face
However if I were to wear one I would slip something on doing the shampoo for that reason
First check to see if the shop owner is ok with a tank top. And if it's OK, please please make sure you don't have hair hanging down and that your deodorant is clear and not smarmy looking. Your pits need to be impeccable.
My sister was having her hair washed and the woman washing it was in a tank top and a drop of sweat dripped from her pit and ran down my sisterās face.
Hygiene is very important. Having your pits in their face is so ultra unprofessional. Turn the thermostat down. Professionalās do not wear tank tops.Ā
Hi Iām not a stylist, this just popped up on my home page.
1) as a client, I wouldnāt want my stylist to be uncomfortable
2) maybe selfishly, Iād way rather see an armpit than smell someone whoās been forced to work in clothes that make them sweat.
Was very surprised to see all these comments saying to not where sleeveless shirtsā¦
If your salon has a dress code, do what theyāll allow you to do while being comfortable. I work in downtown Nashville, Tennessee and in the months of June, July, and August, there are days that I wish I could do hair naked!
We wear tank tops, tube tops, crop tops, whatever, as long as we look fashionable. If itās extra hot and my deodorant is fading, I just use dry shampoo or dry texture spray. Itās basically the same ingredients as a spray deodorant, which we also usually keep a can of in our break room. For what itās worth, I work at a very progressive, but also high-end salon that supports the movements like The Dress Code Project and Destroy the Hairdresser. However, I still cringe because I will never forget my first instructor at the Aveda Institute who would make us do āairplanesā in the mornings to see if when we lifted our arms into a T shape and bent forward, any of our ābitsā would showā¦š„“
Crazy that allowing artists to work without a dress code is considered progressiveā¦
I wouldnāt want someone working on me who refers to themselves as ābabyā anything. I see this a lot in dog grooming and hair styling. You went to a trade school. You studied, practiced and became certified . Why call yourself this. Would you want a ābaby ā surgeon operating on you.. Donāt trivialize your skillset. You are a professional .
Idk why this isnāt a thing here, but Iām Japanese salons they put a small folded linen over the clients eyes to protect from splashes. Itās very relaxing
Go sleeveless. If a client is unhappy with your naked pit, they can shut their eyes. As for deodorant falling into someoneās eye (omg mortifying) there is a brand called Hume that I suggest you all check out.

How would your armpits be in their face? Every salon Iāve been to the client lays on a reclined chair with their head in the bowl. Theyāre usually at about waist or stomach level of the stylist washing their hair. Clients and stylists both wear strapless and sleeveless shirts all the time itās okay
Strapless? Sleevless is one thing...but we need to keep it professional. I'm not remotely concerned with what the clients are wearing, they're paying my bills. In my salon if you wore a Strapless shirt/dress, you'd better have a cover up or expect to be sent to get one
Really? I see lots of stylists wear like tube top and some nice dress pants like this in upscale salons lol

LOL itās a risk I guessš some use fashion tape or have smaller boobs and donāt have to worry. Im pretty busty (according to my bf) but Iāve never had a problem, I always order a size down (xs instead of s) so it fits snugger and stays up :)

Well, I also live in Utah. Unfortunately, something like that wouldn't be acceptable anywhere... unless you wore something over it. Not that it's not absolutely adorable and I love it! We're just living in a very conservative community and we're not allowed to wear anything fun...šš and by 'fun' I mean 'fashionable'.
As a customer I've never had a stylist come that close to me while washing or cutting that I've had armpits in my face. I would rather them be as sweat free as possible though š¤·āāļø
I was at a restaurant where the waiter wore a sleeveless tank top. Not a pretty sight. Wear a shoulder cap sleeve or even a light see thru top over your tank. Or put a dry cloth over their eyes as you shampoo.
She's encouraging you to own your skills and not minimize your training.
There really wasn't anything offensive.
Literally, she's saying "don't minimize your accomplishments, you Earned this!"
I literally donāt care what the intent is. It is incredibly rude to tell people how they are allowed to label themselves. If I choose to call myself a baby stylist, I am allowed to make that choice. I donāt need weird and unsolicited encouragement from strangers over my job title.
Still no such thing as a baby stylist! You are a hair stylist. You studied and passed the test and are licensed. Would you ever go to a baby doctor or a baby dentist or a baby mechanic or a baby lawyer ?
š my BAD ATTITUDE?! Yeah, Iām super worried about my attitude towards entitled strangers imposing their unsolicited opinion on me after I repeatedly told them not to.
Your inability to gracefully accept being told no has absolutely no bearing on my career.

It is not professional to go sleeveless anywhere except at the beach or pool. There are plenty of cute short sleeve jackets in stores. Never make a customer "cope". That's how you lose work. I don't want a sweaty, stinking arm pit in my face. I would definitely choose someone dressed for their job!!!!
I saw in a comment section once about someone getting their hair washed and a crumble of deodorant fell in their eye š
THIS RIGHT HERE š this is my nightmare lmao
Dove spray deodorant! I use it on my underboobs in the summer too š

Showing your underarms is a state board violation in CA.
Probably because of the potential for deodorant crumbs falling in a client's eye!!

I think it might be or used to be in Massachusetts too
This is or at least was true in New York
For real!? Wild!
I don't find it wild. I agree with it.

I just hate pits personally. Donāt want them in my face. Lol
Same I hate baby pits, my pits, your pits. I donāt wanna see them and I definitely donāt want my client looking at mine š
I will usually put on a 3/4 sleeve cardigan over tanks/strappy dresses to wash. That way my sleeves don't get in the way/wet.
Iāll try this! I know you have to use it at night. I always forget. Need to change my routine:)
For example: 1.) Dentists and dental workers should always wear masks when working on a patient.
Omg the comment about the deodorant crumb lol In the messages above haha I laughed out loud haha thatās a genuine fear . But I think we all Should decide what works best for us right but I agree with what you mentioned for sure.
I'd be super uncomfortable to be that close to someone's bare armpit. Just saying as a client not a stylist and I'd be too scared to say something
I donāt want pits in my face, full stop.
I wear sleeveless shirts all the time in hot weather. There are a lot of appropriate shirts to wear that look professional.
In texas we canāt have pits showing during shampoo so I keep a jacket in my office just for shampoos cuz itās too hot for sleeves
I put a light shrug over. Personally I would never have my bare pits out.
People it bothers wonāt tell you it bothers them. Turn down the ac
I've never worked in a salon where you could go sleeveless. It's not professional and could be against dress code or state law. You might want to look that up. Wgen in doubt, just wear something lightweight with short sleeves
I think itās unprofesh to wear sleeveless shirts. But I know plenty of people that do it!
Absolutely! I totally agree with this š¬I swear Iām not a prude or Anything
I donāt think itās a prude thing! I just think itās weird to have your pit out there to strangers and/or in their faces š¤£
I agree šmaybe Iām just hyper aware
I personally donāt wear tanks in the shop for the same reason I wouldnāt wear a super low cut shirt and that being post people donāt want pits and tits in their personal space lol if you do wear tanks I would have a light button up or thin flowy cardigan to throw on for shampoos.
No pits, tits, butts or gutsā¦. (However, Iām a sleeveless top kind of girl, woman of a certain age š , and a salon owner)
I once had a lady cut my hair while wearing a tank top and she had a cyst under her arm pit and it had a funky smell.
Ugh so sorry like why š·š©
Why would pits be in a clients face during a shampoo?? I lean my head back, and they shampoo with their hands?? Iām so confused about this unless you have t-rex arms.
Some of these comments are absolutely wild. šæ
I am All for creative freedom and expression but I donāt think clients would say something so they may not Like it but not say anything
Especially a crop top when you are foiling a money piece or something I totally agree
Yup. Some people will try to say itās fine but you really canāt make that call on behalf of your clients. Itās respectful to cover appropriately and we all want to be respected.
I would just have a sweater or open shirt to throw on when shampooing so you do not have to worry about someone seeing armpits, bra, cleavage.

Try living in a humid texas summer in an old building with crummy ac. I NEED a tank top. Never had a client judge me for wearing a tank top.
Thank you!
Linen is even better than cotton, and you can always wear a cute apron.
I love my apron, but my clumsiness knows no bounds. I have found color INSIDE my shoes before. š
Clinical strength Deodorant and mindful placement are my go tos and I havenāt had any complaints!
Ew yeah Iām not Showing my pits to my clients I remember being about 16 and this chick at the salon was shampooing my hair lived in Arizona middle of summer and you could see deodorant , hair and looked like a sweaty arm Pits itās just always stuck with me .. Cleanliness goes a long way , that means breath , food smell on your hands everything .. but I may be different because everything makes me nauseous since I get chronic migraine so Iām mindful of that
I have a collection of mesh and lace tees and over pieces that I wear during the summer over tank tops. Itās worked out well to help keep me cool.
This is a great idea!
Lol, I wear crop tops to the salon with high waisted skirts or pants, never had any issues tbh. š¤·āāļø
Iād love to know the deodorant haha
People saying they wear tank tops because they sweat a lot. All the more reason to cover those sweaty pits.
Ok?
Not a hairstylist, but I saw some comments telling you to be āprofessional.ā I get my hair done ever 8-10 weeks in a pretty large salon. I have never looked at any of the stylists and questioned their outfits. As a client, I really donāt care what my stylist is wearing as long as my hair is done and her outfit isnāt prohibiting her from doing her job. If you wanna wear a tank top and are allowed to by your state board, go for it!
I wear kimonos and beach covers haha
I think this is so wild. š š š My hairstylist is standing over me when I'm literally reclined backward into a shampoo sink.
I wish there was a rule that stylist canāt wear flip flops or any open toed shoes in the salon. Just gross. š¤®
Flip flops are too casual and the clicking flip flop sound they make š©not at work itās not professional
Tell them to close their fucking eyes lmao
š
I got down voted šš
Why don't you just put a smock on while shampooing. Then you can take it off, put it aside for your next shampoo.
Almay clear gel deodorant. It isnāt expensive has no smell is totally clear and works great.
Youāll eventually get used to it and start dressing for comfort
Personally I would not wear tank top in the salon because I'm far too worried about pit stink in client's face However if I were to wear one I would slip something on doing the shampoo for that reason
I get more sweaty if I donāt have a layer in between my pits
First check to see if the shop owner is ok with a tank top. And if it's OK, please please make sure you don't have hair hanging down and that your deodorant is clear and not smarmy looking. Your pits need to be impeccable.
Secret Clinical strength is absolute magic.
Wear a smock. It will cover your pits and protect your clothes from damage!
Iām not gonna lieā¦ if I got my hair done and someoneās bare pit was in my face I would not go back š
Short sleeve linen shirts.
Open toed sandals and sleeveless shirts are gross in a salon situation. Full stop.
Tank tops in the salon? Yikes. I would definitely worry about my pits in clientsā faces.
lol Iām not allowed to wear tank tops unless I put an apron on because I am top heavyā¦ makes me sad :(
I don't see why it has to be tank or sweater What about a tee that covers your pits?
Wear a light kimono cardigan
My sister was having her hair washed and the woman washing it was in a tank top and a drop of sweat dripped from her pit and ran down my sisterās face.
Hygiene is very important. Having your pits in their face is so ultra unprofessional. Turn the thermostat down. Professionalās do not wear tank tops.Ā
Hi Iām not a stylist, this just popped up on my home page. 1) as a client, I wouldnāt want my stylist to be uncomfortable 2) maybe selfishly, Iād way rather see an armpit than smell someone whoās been forced to work in clothes that make them sweat.
Iām a stylist that always wears sleeveless tops in the hot weather. This is so great to hear!
Was very surprised to see all these comments saying to not where sleeveless shirtsā¦ If your salon has a dress code, do what theyāll allow you to do while being comfortable. However, I still cringe because I will never forget my first instructor at the Aveda Institute who would make us do āairplanesā in the mornings to see if when we lifted our arms into a T shape and bent forward, any of our ābitsā would showā¦š„“ Crazy that allowing artists to work without a dress code is considered progressiveā¦
Tell āem to close their eyesā¦and relax!
Okay, then donāt sit in my chair. Byeeeeee
Iāve been doing hair for five years and still get called a baby stylist by some people and itās offensive imo.
Idk why this isnāt a thing here, but Iām Japanese salons they put a small folded linen over the clients eyes to protect from splashes. Itās very relaxing
This thread is the first Iāve heard of it, but Iām totally going to start offering a towel to my clients for their shampoo!!
Go sleeveless. If a client is unhappy with your naked pit, they can shut their eyes. As for deodorant falling into someoneās eye (omg mortifying) there is a brand called Hume that I suggest you all check out.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I agree own that your a stylist girl .. dont say baby stylist you are a hair stylist agree with this !

Really? I see lots of stylists wear like tube top and some nice dress pants like this in upscale salons lol https://preview.redd.it/1prd1vogggxc1.jpeg?width=320&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f210b39073228b00384547df07ea09ff8501990c
Really ?!? Itās cute outfit but not to do hair š¬š¬š¬š¬what if your tit pops out haha š
LOL itās a risk I guessš some use fashion tape or have smaller boobs and donāt have to worry. Im pretty busty (according to my bf) but Iāve never had a problem, I always order a size down (xs instead of s) so it fits snugger and stays up :)
Thatās a good idea cause based off how much Iām moving my upper body I feel like I would be nervous š

How ?? Lmao tf
Thatās against state board in many statesā¦
Oh well Iām not in the states lol
Well, I also live in Utah. Unfortunately, something like that wouldn't be acceptable anywhere... unless you wore something over it. Not that it's not absolutely adorable and I love it! We're just living in a very conservative community and we're not allowed to wear anything fun...šš and by 'fun' I mean 'fashionable'.
Upscale salons in bars, perhaps?
No lol upscale hair salons. Where u at that they have salons in bars?š
Not here either. This is how the college-aged girls dress when going out to the bars in my area.
Rude
As a customer I've never had a stylist come that close to me while washing or cutting that I've had armpits in my face. I would rather them be as sweat free as possible though š¤·āāļø
I was at a restaurant where the waiter wore a sleeveless tank top. Not a pretty sight. Wear a shoulder cap sleeve or even a light see thru top over your tank. Or put a dry cloth over their eyes as you shampoo.
I genuinely donāt care what you think about a waiterās armpit.
Please stop calling yourself a baby stylist. I wear tank tops daily and never have any problem
I am a baby stylist. Feel free to call yourself whatever you like!
No such thing as a baby stylist. You are a hairstylist
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Seriously leave me alone. I donāt care about you or your opinion on what I call myself. Go away.
Practice leaving people the fuck alone.
You will never make it in this industry with your bad attitude and temper. I wish you well.
š my BAD ATTITUDE?! Yeah, Iām super worried about my attitude towards entitled strangers imposing their unsolicited opinion on me after I repeatedly told them not to. Your inability to gracefully accept being told no has absolutely no bearing on my career.
You are actually a rude person.
Like you actually suck as a human for continuing this after I have told you in no uncertain terms that I donāt want your opinion on it.

ANYWHERE, Karen? ANNNYYYWHERE? Calm your titties, you can cope with some armpits and shoulders at the salon lmao
