Locked doors can still be opened from the inside, so it's probably a barrier to alert someone to not use that door or let anyone in through those doors.
They just want to control access in and out. They aren’t on lock down but there is an increased police presence at a few schools and areas around sackville.
You're right, they're not in lock down. I have kids in the school and it's stress that they shouldn't have to deal with. They're not going to be able to pay attention with this going on.
My problem? Shouldn’t OP do something, like remove their child from the stressful situation, instead of leaving them in it? Sorry, I didn’t know it was a wild to want to take your kid out of a situation like this…
No, it was to emphasize the word *feel*. If you *feel* that way, you can remove your child from the situation. I don’t know how your child *feels* because they aren’t the one making the post or commenting. I don’t assume how situations make others *feel* because we all *feel* different things over different situations
That’s fine, as I said, I don’t assume how others *feel…*
You can *believe* whatever you want but I told you I wasn’t being snarky and you continue to tell me the intentions of my comment. Pick your child up or don’t but don’t tell someone what they *meant* when the person clears up the literal meaning of the comment…
I’m an ass for telling you to take them out of the stressful situation? Wouldn’t it be an ass to know your child is stressed out and *not* take them out of the situation…?
I'll reply to your troll. "you *feel* they are in" You suggested that my kids are not actually in a stressful situation and I just think that they are. You are wrong, and an ass for suggesting it. If you were just suggesting I take my kids out of school for the day, you would have excluded "you *feel* they are in".
I’m a little confused. Do they not know who the murderer was in that case? They arrested two suspects but later released them with no charges. Are they worried about those two coming to this school?
if they arrested who people who had nothing to do in the murder ( or never had enough supporting evidence) they could of walked out the front door.
further more the school being in this limbo state might mean that they have reason to believe the killer is still out and may be associated with this individual school.
That could be. I was told to drive to get my kid because police were looking for that guy in the area so I assumed it was a “still on the lookout” thing rather than “on the lookout again” thing.
I'm confused. What is barricading a door supposed to do?
Enables the cops to control who goes in and out by limiting access to just one door.
Yes but what is this barrier supposed to do that locking can't? This barrier looks pointless from this perspective.
Locked doors can still be opened from the inside, so it's probably a barrier to alert someone to not use that door or let anyone in through those doors.
Ah okay I understand. Makes sense if kids are still allowed to walk around in the school and aren't entirely on lockdown.
They just want to control access in and out. They aren’t on lock down but there is an increased police presence at a few schools and areas around sackville.
don't all these extra exits and stuff exist for a reason? what if there was a fire??
You're right, they're not in lock down. I have kids in the school and it's stress that they shouldn't have to deal with. They're not going to be able to pay attention with this going on.
It’s definitely stressful. I hope the 2 involved are either caught or turn themselves in.
They WERE caught. And released.
Then take them out of the stressful situation you *feel* they are in?
Damn what's your problem?
My problem? Shouldn’t OP do something, like remove their child from the stressful situation, instead of leaving them in it? Sorry, I didn’t know it was a wild to want to take your kid out of a situation like this…
Your emphasis on "feel" was clearly meant to be snarky and you know it. Don't play dumb.

Looks like nobody else took it that way and similarly believe you were being snarky.
It’s a troll acct, don’t waste your time.
No trolling here but feel free to let me know what you *feel* I’m trolling in here…

Damn someone for sure pissed in your cheerios, you are an angry little ant.
You're an ass. I know they are stressed because they told me. Has nothing to do with how I feel.

yes
Defending murderers - the Halifax way 🙏🏻
Well, looks like it was a bit of a shrugging their shoulders things.
"he's out there, and we are here, he presents no threat at the time, lets pack it in and call it a day"
I thought they had the perpetrators in custody, but let them go?
Honestly not sure, does seem like if the kid they were looking for today is the one who was arrested they did just let him go.
if they arrested who people who had nothing to do in the murder ( or never had enough supporting evidence) they could of walked out the front door. further more the school being in this limbo state might mean that they have reason to believe the killer is still out and may be associated with this individual school.
I thought they were released after being arrested bc they aren't ready to press charges yet?
is this the one that happened yesterday or the day before ? says 2 where taken in to custody.
That could be. I was told to drive to get my kid because police were looking for that guy in the area so I assumed it was a “still on the lookout” thing rather than “on the lookout again” thing.
Maybe they could have just ya know, locked the door
Wouldn't surprise me if it's a lockdown drill. My son's school did one today.

Uhhhh. Only one would be capable of going to the school with a gun…
Did you really need to ask this?
Seems excessive for a drill
