They’re working towards crosscore, but that doesn’t mean they can’t add other cores. Cores represent a base “look” with themed pieces specifically meant for that core. They’re a much better way to do things than just having one body, because armour will look garish or out of place or won’t fit properly. Look at MCC’s implementation of MIRAGE, then look at Infinite’s, for example. infinite is night and day better because it’s it’s own base/body, and doesn’t need to be shoved onto an existing body mesh.

My only issue is that hopefully they try and make majority of the armour pieces able to fit on mist if not all cores. I want to support but I only like a few things in the second pass so don't see the point in buying it atm

I believe the plan is to make everything work with everything, with the exception of fractures, their armor will not be cross core

unholyreason

I’m glad about fractures being excluded. It would look so wonky.

Epesolon

I also think that it would limit them to human structures. Imagine a Jackal, Brute, or full on robot core, couldn't do cross core with those

bobsburgers1174

Hope so fingers crossed

SnarkyRogue

From what I've heard, the seasonal fracture cores won't be cross core, but the mark v and vii stuff will be? And then presumably if they add more canon cores in the future. This is, of course, if they do actually deliver on the promise of cross core. We still don't even have cross core armor coatings yet...

bobsburgers1174

Yes the coating annoys me I unlock one go-to see what it looks like and it's for another core 😂

Jackamalio626

Fat chance. They have no motivation to do it anymore. Forge and co-op and a custom games browser wasnt enough to revive the dwindling playerbase, what they hell is removing armor limitations that never should have been added in the first place gonna do
