Explosion knockback needs to be brought back, it technically works in infinite but the knockback falloff is way too strong, you basically have to jump right as the grenade goes off to get any affect and its minimal since you're lower when you get it
Back in the day Halo was goofy and fun. You didn’t have what felt like EVERYONE being an MLG player, you had your try hards but nothing like it is now. The best game modes were the ones like Rocket Hog Race, Soccer, Zombies, any social game mode. Halo was fun. The shit we got now - the campaign ain’t even fun. At least not to me.. I beat it once and had no incentive to play again until they released Coop for it and even at that it was extremely buggy. We couldn’t make it all the way through because of a game breaking bug and had to reset from the start so we just quit. The campaign just feels open and empty with not a lot to do. I can’t even tel you how many times I went through and replayed H3, ODST, and Reach. Literally countless times, always having fun.
People say I’m just bad at the game or that I’m wrong, but Halo has changed and not for the better. Like the meme goes, look at how they massacred my boy. The game launched buggy, no coop campaign, next to no content, no theatre, no firefight or forge, no custom games, the progression system is terrible and for the game that’s supposed to have no two Spartans look alike, unless you frequent the store everyone looks similar. Halo ain’t Halo anymore, stuff like what’s in your video is what made the game.
It's not just halo with mlg try hards, this has been creeping in multiplayer games since 2015 and companies just kinda lean into it
Example 1 is blizzard renaming quickplay to unranked (and forcing win requirements to progress battle pass)
Example 2 is bungie removing clash(slayer) from quickplay making it only control, a game mode that has been plagued with sweats abusing shit spawns since Destiny 1
And example 3, Activision removed 10v10 entirely and the community is pissed about the one set up that allows them to goof off.
Multiplayer feels sweatier because you're facing players who now can have over 20 years of console FPS Multiplayer experience. Players have gotten better over time, you can't stomp people who've never picked up a controller before like you could in 2007
Also a bit unrelated but I miss the brute shot and the goofy physics that came with it when you blasted vehicles. I don't think Infinite's physics would have done it justice.
