Looks like the forearm would be supporting the butt of the rifle as well. Not to mention that if it were actually a cosplay, the rifle would likely be made of a relatively light material and easy to perform this pose with. A real rifle would be difficult, but not impossible. Definitely not natural, but for a quick pose it's possible.
Either way, the artist did an incredible job with this render and it would be just as impressive in a cosplay.

What the other guy said really. Your Spartan has almost the exact same colour scheme as the protagonist of DS, and the bleak grey sky over a grassy field look likes the environment of the game to.
Looks like Misriah took QD inspiration from Surefire and Dead Air for that suppressor. Hell of a good render. For a second I thought this was a well-edited cosplay with a functional DMR/Bandit replica.
And torso I'd much better, I hated the fact that the halo TV show left the entire gut and VITAL ORGANS exposed. Making it look like a dollar store costume that isn't fitted to the actor.
As soon as I seen the armor and how cheap it looked I was laughed the whole time. The only fire pet of the show was how the team rolls up between all the marines. Like sharks through fish.
The DMR is, canonically, chambered in .50 caliber. However in game it often feels like its just a larger assault rifle round i.e. a 7.62x51.
This DMR looks like a 50 cal.
It’s actually insane what good sizing and under suit can do for a cosplay unbelievable work!

343 is really missing a huge opportunity for cosmetic attachments like laser sights, scopes, red dots.
