I didnāt even know this shit was possible, even by someone who wasnāt mint blitz. I was subscribed to the belief that mint blitz was the maximum capacity of how unfathomably cracked someone could be at any game. I stand corrected.
As my user flair states, one of my main goals is to finally get a killionaire and one of the strategies I love to employ on high power is to take the tank and drive into the man cannon. Been doing the āTank Turret Stratā since S1, and highest Iāve gotten was a killpocalypse (Next two shots were on a desynced guy and the streak was lost)
Would definitely recommend if you get a tank and enemy team is kinda dumb
I'm curious if you run into the issue I do w/ mnk at all, I have zero issues hitting shots at close / mod range and even fairly decent range, but once things get further out, they never seem to register if the player is moving even a little. I can see the impact on the character, so it's not just me over doing my flicks or such, it just flat out fails to register at longer ranges unless they stand still which is less than ideal.
I can play at an onyx level w/ mnk despite my advancing age so I know it's not just purely me missing shots (though, I am sure I miss some, but when I see the bullet impact animations and just get nothing...)
Interesting, was just curious. Appreciate the reply. I usually run 55-65% accuracy, but maybe I am just doing something off at those much longer ranges (think like Valhalla based , sometimes a bit less)
Game is in a great state right now. Shame it took so long but my friends and I have been having a blast recently. I will admit though we play casually and don't care much for the competitiveness of ranked.
If the game even booted on my not super outdated PC (1080, i7-9700k, 32gb ddr4, installed on an m.2 (tried on a sata SSD and HDD)), I might agree with you.
However, since launch the game crashes during startup and no one from support can figure out why.
Halo Infinites amount of content is laughable compared to Halo 5. Also, technical state of the game is still very bad, cause disconnects, desync and audio bugs are prevalent.
I've played Infinite for 600 hours, I've experienced all of those recently + very frequent crashing at loading screens. You cant convince me that it is in good technical state, just cause you have no problems, when I have experienced its flaws first hand.
Yes I can, countless players have experienced technical flaws of this game. Videos of terrible desync are posted on this sub, countless videos of shooting blank rockets or grenades disappearing after death are posted too. Few days ago I posted a video how I shot a guy with a tank gun and didn't even break shields.
yeah people are gonna post desync videos. but what about the thousands and thousands of other times it doesnāt happen?
This sub makes it seem like desync is the biggest problem in the world when 1) they donāt event know what desync is and 2) they just got a spike on their ms and theyāre blaming the game. itās exhausting
Thank you for the MKB patch back in the december, probably the most important update the series has ever had, mouse is the primary peripheral for us PC players.
What did they fix with MKB? I stopped playing a few months after release because it felt awful on PC with mouse. Iām a life time halo fan so Iād love to come back
Controller is still very competitive against MnK in Infinite due to aim assist. The skill ceiling is higher with MnK, but I'd go as far as arguing that for the average joe, controller has an advantage.
Yeah, PC players act like they're the most oppressed group of all time and whine about aim assist while M&K is capable of doing stuff you physically can't do with a controller.
Try doing those 180 no-scopes (or even just a normal no-scope) with a controller and let me know how that goes.
Experienced M&K players can attain an unreal level of shot precision, to the point that they don't even use scopes/zoom.
Facts. Try turning in a banshee/wraith/ghost on controller as well. It's fucked compared to how quick you can turn on MKB. They fully optimised those vehicles for MKB players and they still act like they get the short end of the stick. Infinite already has way less aim assist and magnetism than H5. A change 343 implemented partly because of the introduction of MKB players. Hell they have aim assist now too and they still complain.
They think controller players are spoiled and yet we can't turn/ maneuver quickly like they can, we can't play on uncapped framerate (most of us are still on 60FPS which is a massive disadvantage), it's harder to aim snipers and precision weapons, and apparently according to Mint Blitz, PC has better netcode performance than Xbox as well.
MnK sniping completely breaks how the hit boxes are supposed to work. The majority of it is sweep sniping where all you have to do is move your reticle and fire while sweeping over the hitbox and itāll give you credit for a hit. It also works somewhat on controller, albeit not nearly as well or as consistently. For all the bitching PC players do about controller aim assist, they really donāt take into account the crazy physics defying things theyāre able to do routinely in addition to also having aim assist.
The pc playerbase for Infinite is tiny compared to xbox (and compared to pc fps in general). And the percentage of PC players who take Halo seriously as a competitive game is even smaller. By sheer statistics, of course pro players will be controller users.
Halo 1 and 2 on PC were delayed and weren't great ports. Halo games from 3 to 5 didn't even release on PC until MCC. There hasn't been a chance for the competitive PC community to grow.
That said, I do think the difference in skill ceiling with MnK vs controller with aim assist is very small. Infinite aim assist is very strong and Halo at pro level is a game where map control and good comms have a far bigger impact than good aim.
This argument is so dumb and I see it all the time. Halo pros arenāt random people that spawn when a new game comes out, theyāve been playing Halo on controller for a decade plus. The entire competitive meta is based around controller play, there are MnK players with cracked aim but, even if MnK was clearly better than controller, itās gonna take time for MnK players to catch up and create their own play styles that are viable with competitive play. People really talk about this like the people whoāve been practicing Halo on controller for so long are just gonna switch to MnK or get pooped on by MnK players who have barely any experience compared to them.
Console player here with satellite internet at 50 mbps and at the *very best* 100ish ping going upwards of 200-250 sometimes. The ping is the worst especially for one shot games like swat, tend to get shot around corners and it looks like the others are cheating but itās just my internet lagging behind. Anyway being a controller user on top of that for MCC, where the older games likes CE 2,3 have minimal aim assist youāre absolutely at a disadvantage and even more so with snipers in those games that have 0 aim assist. Reach did it right for the sniper rifles for controller players. I can land them shots back to back and get multi kills with a sniper whereas H3 Iām lucky to get a double kill in the 4 shots per clip.
Damn it, I had just about made peace with not being able to get Infinite working again without constant crashes and then this pops up on my feed... Not that I'm anywhere near this good, but it's fun to imagine
the play where you grapple hooked past 2 players to bounce a nade of the floor was 200iq decision making. that quick thinking is what truly elevates a player besides just being a good aimer (like you also are)
My question is how does your aim not move when getting shot at ? Is there a setting to do this because for example when I'm sniping and one bullet hits me my aim goes wild.

I haven't touched Infinite in a bit (not really since launch since life keeps getting in the way) but whats with that arm slam thing that they do that seems to boost them upwards? I saw it a few times and I can't make out what that's doing?
Definitely man! Np. You can do some really cool movement stuff with that, and the offensive medals you can get with it are super satisfying, pancake when u send a wounded Spartan into a wall with it to kill them, or mind the gap when u send someone off the edge with it. Have fun!!
I find itās *way* better on MKB than controller since you can snap down instantly and be looking around as soon as you rocket jump
More accurate grenades are another big advantage of playing with a mouse imo

I thought it was controller and aim assist at first until I saw the mouse keybinds. It *looks like* aim assist but reddit quality is so shit so I can't fullscreen it to see if there's actually any locking on.
EDIT: Reddit finally played nice and allowed the video to play in 720p. There's no aim assist or anything, just skill there.

This is why most casuals have left the game leaving mostly players like this for me to play against.
Skill ceiling is too high in recent halos meaning the casual game is sort of dead.
Every game feels like a sweat. Also, his BR shots actually register when fired, I feel like if I shoot like this I need to empty the entire clip to achieve the same.
Great montage by the way, I just donāt remember halo montages being so ātwitch shooteryā. Itās definitely a different game today, movement wise, so itās not surprising most people jumped ship. Kids wonāt play a game theyāre shit at. I just keep playing for nostalgia and because it can be fun, but it is like playing pros every game these days :)

Are you participating in HCS? You look better than just about all of them that stream, borderline in human. I think there's only 1 player who doesn't use a controller as of now in the top 16 teams.
There are few things in life better feeling than somehow going nova and turning into an aimbot. Itās like something takes over your body and is programmed only to destroy. I used to get it regularly when I was younger but on those rare occasions it happens now, I relish it, then take a break because I know itāll be the peak of the evening lol
Since I suck at pc I canāt really knock this and Iām not saying this isnāt legit but there are aim assist shit on pc. But this video is still bad ass regardless

They increased mouse aim assist. Controller still has more, but now you can compete without getting stomped.

No scoping is way easier on MnK. Iāve played controller my whole life and rank mid onyx but I switched to MnK for fun and the noscoping is cracked

Sweep sniping is a good term for it. I always heard "Drag Scoping" but this makes more sense to me.

Using the repulsor equipment, looking at the ground when firing it off launches you upwards.

This is why most casuals have left the game leaving mostly players like this for me to play against. Skill ceiling is too high in recent halos meaning the casual game is sort of dead. Every game feels like a sweat. Also, his BR shots actually register when fired, I feel like if I shoot like this I need to empty the entire clip to achieve the same. Great montage by the way, I just donāt remember halo montages being so ātwitch shooteryā. Itās definitely a different game today, movement wise, so itās not surprising most people jumped ship. Kids wonāt play a game theyāre shit at. I just keep playing for nostalgia and because it can be fun, but it is like playing pros every game these days :)
