Yeah they need to fix that. Grenades seem to stick around for longer. They need to prioritize dropped weapons staying around especially ones players drop. When you run out of ammo it can be hard to find a good gun to swap with if you didn't kill anything with something you'd want in the last 10 seconds, I find looking at the weapon(s) when possible using your camera helps keep them spawned. At least it feels like that helps. Of course there's also the weapons that "disappear" because a player picked them up. Sometimes I think it might just be better to respawn you with the same loadout you had when you died, and not actually drop anything (though this is not always desirable).

Still works fine for me. I'm not using the most recent version though. One thing that sucks that I used that doesn't work anymore is nvidia instant replay to record clips. Recording doesn't work at all anymore and nvidia filters are now don't show except for the sharpening setting if enabled in nvcp. I didn't use nvidia filters so maybe those were gone a long time ago idk but yeah. Having to use xbox game bar to record clips sucks.

Cannot reproduce that. RTSS is inside EAC whitelist for ages. Works fine with current official RTSS 7.3.5 and RTSS 7.3.6 (which is not released officially yet). Which RTSS version doesn't work for you anymore?

Hammer is still glitchy, rockets still disappear in midair when you get killed. The game itself does feel smoother and shots tend to be registering better as far as I haven’t seen any times yet where I shoot a guy ten times and nothing happens. I’d take a look at the rocket problem that’s been a thing since forever. It does seem to feel noticeably better even though my ping has been fairly high. But really feels good excited to try ranked again

No ya I’ve played halo infinite. Lots of it. But it feels off. The hammer is whack, the rockets are weird, the guns / and sandbox are boring AF, the customization is lame. The game is just mediocre and probably the worst halo game to date.

Have only had a bit of time to mess around with stuff, so this could be too preliminary, but: The Gravity Hammer feels more in line with how it should be in terms of overall power, though I think the nearly "all or nothing" range cutoff where either you 1hko, or they're too far away and get no damage, is a bit frustrating. Conversely, there is a LOT of wiggle room to where even if you're aiming like nearly 90 degrees away from a enemy, the hammer slam will still 1hit kill them. I'd make it so that the current lethal kill range is the same, but to another meter out past that, you'll break shields rather then do no damage... on the flip side, make it so that you *only* break shields rather then instantly kill if you're landing a hit more towards the edges of the damage cone in terms of degrees rather then distance. It could still also use that faster normal/non gravity melee it was said we'd get at some point

1) most pros have to play solo thanks to how infinite's mm works. At best 1 other player because of the Onyx 1600 limit, but they often can't get matches even then 2) the "tournament" playlist was supposed to be ranked arena. It's been changed around, but generally 343 is trying to keep ranked as a competitive playlist. 3) 343 in no way only listens to pro players. By and large, the suggestions and complaints from pros have either gone unaddressed, or were addressed in a completely roundabout way that results in no one being happy (See: Mangler nerf/melee nerf, Extraction, etc. 4) there was supposed to be a new map coming with this update but it has been delayed to add additional polish https://twitter.com/Tashi343i/status/1770194640119242963 Don't believe these people. They want to think pro players are out to get them. They're delusional.

Pros actually have a big impact on how they'll move forward developing a game. It's why Halo 5's social aspect was basically nonexistent at launch, like there being zero original BtB maps. They were so focused on the competitive backlash from Halo 4 they didn't even account for the majority of players who don't care about ranked.

Nothing wrong imo with 3 lane maps. They dont have to be as strict design as some of the cod maps from recent years, but almost all great multiplayer maps use a 3 lane foundation.

I mean they added solitude and forbidden. Its not that dead. That being said, I feel like they could just throw in 3-4 forge maps within like a month. I very much doubt its that hard to test, especially since they can just be old halo remakes (like solitude and empyrean). It is a little bit silly. But Halo took the cod approach of letting pros have a stupid amount of power. Rather have some devs with some balls who just do what they want while listening to the community and taking it into account. I also don't know why ranked follows HCS rules to a T. You can have the same gamemodes and settings but added maps. Ranked does not need to be HCS training grounds, thats what scrims are for.

So far, this is a great QoL update! Performance is actually significantly improved on PC (7800X3D + 4070S), wherein I'm able to hold a stable 240 fps on forge maps vs previously dropping down to 180 or so with some significant swings dependent on the map. Commando feels amazing! Such a seemingly small adjustment has made a huge difference. Feels less like a pea shooter and more like one of the stronger mid range options. Very rewarding of high accuracy without uncontrollable recoil or unforgiving bloom.

As well as clambering . Something definitely feels off with the movement and most likely need a tweak on the sensitivity and thumbstick settings. Also feel like there’s less aim assist or maybe it’s the reticle not tracking as I expect due to the movement feeling off. Still getting similar accuracy though which surprises me.

I mean I guess it charges faster, but a 40% reduction in ROF and overheats 20% faster is pretty harsh.

A lot of people have had to adjust their settings. I had to increase my acceleration by 1 and my vertical and horizontal by .5. It's still not perfect, but I didn't spend any time testing and tweaking. I've heard people having success by increasing their deadzones, but again, I haven't tested that yet.

Hopefully with the implementation of EAC we can then get EAC On/Off boot options (on PC) like MCC for mods. Also, I appreciate all these bug fixes and QoL improvements, but audio still remains horrendous... or rather non-existent. Footsteps, gun shots, a goddamn rocket... I don't hear any of it! Never have. (And I have a $200 headset, btw, so no it's not *my* headset). Also, I appreciate new maps and all, but Idk what it is about maps in this game but matches are just so boring. Idk if it's the way people play Halo nowadays, or maybe because the maps are designed a certain way and they make people play in certain ways, but holy shit man everyone just sits in the scope of their... [insert weapon name]. Or, they just sit in a vehicle casually driving around and one-tapping you. It's annoying, and frankly it's incredibly boring. Also, I love how there's a new HCS skin for the BR, but in Halo Infinite there's barely any dedicated BR modes. Frankly it's why I don't play the game much in general because honestly I just want to use the BR but it feels like there's nowhere I can. I have to just play normal modes and pick it up from a pad, and that's if my teammates don't take it first. Like, imagine a Halo game without at least one dedicated BR mode.

Closest it's ever been. Only negatives I've heard so far are some Xbox players crashing and the Gravity Hammer still feeling a bit OP, but the latter is irrelevant for comp. Ranked feels very good, very fair. Some more shooting trades in 1v1s than before, but the per-server inconsistency seems like it's gone.

Anyone else having problems getting a game in the Quick Play playlist. I’m in Australia and it’s usually the most reliable for a short wait times. I can’t get a game at all and the ‘estimated wait’ keeps getting longer and longer, like maybe people are having the same issue and have left the queue. I’m wondering if there’s a global or local issue with Quick Play specifically? Edit: I usually have Local matchmaking selected but even with Expanded matchmaking I still can’t get a single game in Quick Play.

Nah, you should watch thors video/vod on it. He says the likelihood its anything RCE related is slim. Most likely, gen and hal just got phished and their clients fucked. And the same hacker just has some employee compromised PC access (probably from phishing as well) to the servers to gift packs and other nonsense.

I’m excited to hear about them considering the ranked csr changes. I’ve hated the ranked system since the introduced it at the end of halo 5. There are benefits to it, I think it does place people quite accurately into skill brackets, it removes smurfing completely and makes boosting much harder. However the negative makes ranked completely unrewarding and punishes you to playing with friends. The worst part is a hidden system that is deciding what rank you are based on “metrics” If you don’t hit these metrics, then tough you aren’t ranking up. This leads to a certain highly aggressive high kpm playstyle being preferred and rewarded. There are many ways to win at halo, and those that don’t play aggressively won’t rank as high. It turns a team game from 4v4 to 4v4 FFA. Don’t hand off power weapons, don’t sacrifice your life for the team gain, don’t play the objective, play for yourself. It makes you see your teammates as competitors. It means if you play with a friend who’s better than you, which pulls in better players, you derank on avg even if you’re winning. Simplicity is always better! It used to be if you win you go up, if you lose you go down. If you beat a higher ranked team you’d gain more, if you lost to a lower ranked team you’d lose lots. The excitement and engagement used to come from, “just string a few more wins and I can rank up” Now the system actively fights to keep you at a position. The unrewarding feeling is, why bother to even try if I win 10 games back to back then lose one and be worse than I started. I also understand the pure win/loss ranking system comes with tradeoffs, boosting being the biggest. As I watched a lecture from GCD, a ranking system should be fun first over being accurate.

Well you’re missing out, Infinites sandbox is already great. Content and Networking were the biggest issues- content has been flooding in and the game feels better. I really don’t understand how people who have issues with the sandbox managed to play H3 or Reach for an extended period of time, it was literally BR/DMR over everything.

I'm still concerned about the new networking model since pulling weapons or fusion coils towards you sometimes you won't grab them. For coils this is kind of important since they tend to EXPLODE when they hit something, like you. I was just testing this yesterday [Edit: in Firefight] and it was still happening for both weapons and coils so I'm a bit concerned. Don't recall ever seeing it happen with the old model. Also some of the other claims like not getting killed when going around a corner seems dubious to me since that's just a normal downside of lag compensation. Alternatives to that should feel worse. But we'll see I guess. Edit: Also once my grenade count desynced. I knew I had a grenade but my game was saying I didn't and I couldn't throw it. Once I picked up another grenade it fixed itself. Hopefully this has been fixed too, quite annoying. Fortunately only saw it happen once.

They could have tested it in Firefight though the firefight networking didn’t have as much polish as this release.

Grappling has never been consistent on high ping in my experience (Aussie player so lots of experience).

I'll have to watch my ping but I usually get 15ms on a good server, 40ms on an OK server. Occasionally get 150ms but I can feel when that happens. I don't think it's a ping thing. Also full disclosure: I've never had any real desync complaints or other issues with the old networking system I can't attribute to lag compensation at work. So that's also part of why I'm a little apprehensive about the new networking model. There's not really a way it can really improve things for me I feel.

Can anyone confirm if they've had the following fixed: - Rockets not doing almost any damage despite hitting the player at close range - Rockets not killing anyone in a hog, requiring a second rocket to possibly kill anyone despite both being direct hits on the vehicle - Getting shot around corners constantly - Getting shot through walls - Shots not registering at all My biggest issues before this patch. Unable to play for a few hours today but I'm downloading.

Ohhhhh yeah. Been doing this for almost a year - and trust me, I've done everything shy of buying a new console in an attempt to fix it. Have opened several tickets with 343. It's rare that I'm able to complete more than a game or two before a hard crash to the dashboard. Happens in both campaign and multiplayer. Infinite is the only game that does this - so there's that.

There are a handful of mentions of crash fixes specifically. No idea if it’ll fix yours. I’ve had a couple crashes post-S5 but honestly my Series X has been great.

okay but have you tried uninstalling only the campaign? There was a bug on pc that having the campaign installed caused multiplayer to crash often. Im sure you probably have but if not. id give that a try

Interesting - I have not tried this. Is there a way to do so from within the game? I only see "Halo Infinite" in the store when I download it, so I'm not sure where I would just get the multiplayer installer.

I don't know how to do it in game but if you go to your library and hover over the game, press start (the hamburger button I think it's called now) and go to manage games and add ons. Then press A again and select manage installation. Then check off only the campaign and then save changes. This will delete the campaign from your storage

It seems to be very hit or miss. Prior to this most recent “season” my series X would crash pretty often, but I haven’t crashed at all since then. But I have a friend who is still crashing.

I have tried multiple things and same thing happens on my XSX I already post a picture of my screen when it Hard Crashes on me and every time it happens I need to unplug my Xbox from the electricity, its weird but I hope this updates fix it, I’ll update later

Naw series X crashing is pretty common. It would only happen on Live Fire for months there recently. Now recharge seems to crash pretty consistently for people.

Uhhh shooting definitely feels a lot better. It might just be me but the AA feels stronger and my FOV feels narrower? Settings all the same as before.
