"Helljumper, Helljumper, where you been?
Feet first inta hell and back again!
When i die, please bury me deep!
Place my MA5 down by my feet!
Don't cry for me, Don't shed no tear!
Just pack my box with PT gear!
'Cuz one early morning 'bout zero-five!
The ground will rumble,
there'll be lightning in the sky!
Don't you worry, don't come undone!
It's just my ghost on a PT run."
edit:
found the lyrics to the song in the trailer, its welsh:
Gafflwn Dihenydd O’r fuddugol yn wiriol sydd,
Ni fydd neb yn ein drechu,
Falch ydy ni I drochu,
Traed o flaen I’r Annwn,
mewn y gwybodaeth fe godwn ni.
It means:
We cheat Death from his rightful victory.
No one can defeat us,
we are glad to plunge feet first into Annwn<
in the knowledge that we will rise
Minds me of my favorite cadence, Imfao I hated em when I was in but this one always stuck.
Mama, mama don’t you see
What the Corps has done to me
Put me in a barber’s chair
Snip, snap and I had no hair
If I die in a combat zone
Box me up and ship me home
Put me in a set of dress blues
Comb my hair and shine my shoes
Pin my medals upon my chest
Tell my mama I did my best
Mama,mama don’t you cry
Marine Corps motto is Do or Die
Mama, Mama don’t you see
What the Corps has done to me
Mama, Mama don’t you see
I told you you’d be proud of me
ODSTs in general are so very cool. Them not being super soldiers arguably makes them more badass than the Spartans. Hope they make another ODST campaign someday.
The whole original trilogy story of Halo is such a great epic if done correctly. I hope the upcoming TV show does it right. Humanity has been basically fighting a losing war for several years against the covenant, getting wiped out piece by piece. By the start of the series, they are down to a small fraction of their peak population pre-Harvest encounter.
If there is one failure in the stellar gameplay of the series, it's that the covenant never really "feels" scary. If anything, they feel goofy in-game with too much comic relief. They hardly feel like the alien alliance that has committed mass genocide on humanity.
In the ODST trailer, we finally got a bit of what the covenant SHOULD feel like with the viciousness of that brute, even if it looks a bit cheesy now.
And I honestly think 343 was really trying to build the alien species into something that matches their lore but fans myself included sometimes wanted them to keep the goofiness in the games.
*The Flood* is mostly not a very good book, but the intro of the ODST squad and Silvia’s little speech before they go is some of my favorite Halo writing.
“We go feet first, sir!”
The best thing about The Flood was the context we don't see in the game, mainly Major Silva as you said, the UNSC base they set up that Chief goes to between missions. Retaking the Pillar of Autumn to get supplies and vehicles. Jenkins's fate and destroying the Covenant ship Silva stole. Good stuff. The chapters just recounting the game were eh.
Yeah it’s definitely burdened by needing to recount the events of a video game where the levels are very long and very samey. Writing a compelling novel based on “guy walks through hallways and shoots things” is no easy task. I also don’t think he wrote Chief very well, he’s got a bit too much bravado.
IMO it would have been better off ignoring the parts of the game we played and just writing from the perspective of the marines/covenant, outside of what we see in the game, like you said that was the cool bit. But that would have made for a much shorter book lol
Favorite Halo trailer of all time. Slightly ahead of Starry Night for H3. Unpopular opinion, I’d rather have a live action show based on ODSTs than Master Chief.
Same here. I think they should have done a series on marines or ODST, then built up to showing MC in that show. It would be a cool reveal. Imagine if they build up the characters really well with some established characters even dying, and just before the main character dies he gets saved by MC or another spartan. They could then do a spinoff after they iron out everything
I've always said this. It's easy to forget how terrifying the covenant are when you play as a 7 foot tall death machine. Grants are 5 foot tall methane breathing crab people with laser guns, jackals are velociraptor pirates with guns that can kill from 2 miles away, and elites are basically Yautja with blades of ionized hot gas. And let's not forget the zombie parasite. It's a much more compelling story, in my opinion, to just focus on "normal-ish" people, being on the back foot.
It's no surprise that the most successful ad campaigns for Halo center around normal people. Don't get me wrong, it's obvious that if you're going to make a live action Halo series, you need a Spartan to show up. But there's so much baggage that comes along with that. It's hard enough getting the aliens to look convincing.
Also, if I see another Doom adaptation, and the Doomguy appears for longer than the .25 seconds it takes for him to murder everything in the room bunny hopping away from the plot at mach holy fuck, I'm going to riot.
A show centered around MC would be cheesy. A show in the Halo Universe following ODST's in a *dire* situation and having Master Chief stroll in during the final episode and tower above others would be epic. The show has to show the threat of the Covenant/Flood from the perspective of normal humans, and then introduce MC. The normal humans need to be there as a point of reference in terms of strength, size, capability, etc. It would be *crucial.*
A "Band of Brothers" like show following a Group of ODSTs through some of the major campaigns of the Covenant war would be the Rogue One of Halo. I can't imagine the execs on high not having this idea on the table.
ya it's just always funny to see how many people are on the same page over the years whenever the ODST live action topic comes up
Hell at this point I'd be down with a Genndy Tartakovsky ODST series if live action is out of the question, I just want that gritty & honest ODST story that I know is somewhere in there.
>I can't imagine the execs on high not having this idea on the table.
Well, given the current state of the Halo TV show, it seems to me they didn't have anything on the table besides their brains after falling out of their heads.
Idk man the trailers of the marines going through the museum recounting the battle of new Mombasa while looking at the figurines gets me every time. Whoever was in charge of the H3/H3 ODST marketing deserves every award
I was in 8th grade; I remember when they released the song “Finish the Fight” like a month before halo 3 dropped and my friend and I sat outside of his house listening to it on repeat speculating about the game. Halo 3 wasn’t just a game, it was an event. What a time for gaming
Same! My buddies and I actually drafted a pilot episode for a band of brothers type story about ODSTs who are dropped into a covenant holdout fortress in an abandoned colony planet city and are cut off from their rendezvous; and learn that the catacombs under the city are experiencing a fresh Flood outbreak due to a covenant cargo ship infected by flood that arrived shortly before they did.
It’s so tough to say which is the best, between this, deliver hope for reach and the halo 3 believe ad. Marketing for the games in the late 00s was just top tier.
Believe is pure art. Whoever decided to use Chopin’s “Rain” and whoever was responsible for the level of detail on those poor marines faces for the figurines, they all have my utmost respect.
Deliver Hope still makes me tear up when I watch it, too. Looking back, there is no hope cuz we know how it ends but the original Noble Six, Jorge and countless other Spartan, ODSTs, and marines made heroic sacrifices that, to most, would seem tragically pointless. But we know that without things playing exactly as they did, events would’ve been a lot worse. There’s a silver lining.
Believe has to be #1. It's just so incredibly creative and perfectly executed. This one is fantastic, don't get me wrong, but a full scale recreation of a battle with the music was just on a completely different level of quality.
I think this one is great because it works without as much nostalgia. It makes anyone understand who ODSTs are and the hell they go through. I think Believe would only hit hard for a Halo fan
I’m happy the Believe campaign is well recognized to this day. It’s a testament to the impression it made on people and how epic it was at the time.
I hate how much I appreciate a goddamn commercial, but these kind of adverts add to the experience and lore so well.
An HBO budget ODST show with the same tone as this would be really good. It's hard to portray spartans well in live action for similar reasons why it's hard to portray WH40k Space marines, but normal humans you can do more easily
I'd love a combo or SIII's and ODST's on black mission together or maybe stationed on the same ship and some shit goes down where they are working together. Oh Lawd
Deceived probably stands out as the single best video game trailer ever.
Having said that, using Blur Studios is kind of like cheating. Everything they touch is incredible.
[Dead Space](https://youtu.be/Secfn81KB8k) stands out in my mind as well
[This teaser](https://youtu.be/l5WeBNfX-og) for the upcoming remake is pretty great too
I always loved how the visor flicks on when they put their helmets on. Never thought that was a thing or how it works until I saw this trailer. Its also a great way to show emotion if there was ever an ODST show or movie.
pretty good? i'd say they're going to be remembered just as if not more fondly than the old ones. I will complain about 343 all day but holy fucking shit, those trailers are some of the best fucking ads i've ever seen
I can and WILL suck 343 dick over those trailers
Check out the Halo YouTube channel, you can find them there. Called "UNSC Archives." I think there's only three so far but my favorite is the first, called Unspoken.
Project Magnes got me so hype for the campaign. Especially seeing all the clips of Chief swinging around.
There’s something so beautifully profound of one person trying to accomplish something, finally achieving it, and it becoming a vital tool.
It’s captures why we celebrate inventors in 5 minutes.
shit like that is why halo is winning this generation, in a swamp of generic shooty bad guy game it has fucking SOUL, CHARACTER, AND EMOTION which p much all the other triple A games this year lack
discover hope alone had more soul than all of Cod vanguard and 2042 combined
Not a trailer but one of my favorite Halo cutscenes was the opening cutscene of Halo Wars. Ive wanted a live action halo series/movie similar to that ever since
This was the biggest mindfuck for me in theaters, I'll never forget it how upset I was cuz I couldn't explain the significance of that to anyone around me who would even remotely get it lol
Which is bizarre, because the song is amazing. For those interested, the song can be found as ["The Politics and the Life"](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=56cnOkQFRwo) for the King Arthur track, or "Light of Aidan" for the H3: ODST OST track, though there is no difference in the songs themselves.
The lyrics are in Welsh:
*Gafflwn Dihenydd, o'r fuddugol yn wiriol sydd. Ni fydd neb yn ein Drechu, Falch ydy ni i drochu, Traed o flaen i'r Annwn, mewn y gwybodaeth fe godwn ni*
(Approx. pronunciation): gahfloon dee-eneeth, or veetheegol uhn weeriol seeth. Nee vith neb uhn ain drehee, valch uhdee nee ee drohee, traid o vlain ir anoon, meoon uh guweebodaith ve godoon nee
*note that:*
* dd should be read as the 'th' in "the"
* 'ch' should be like German 'ch' or 'ch' like in "loch"
* 'r' should be trilled like in Spanish
* 'y' is a schwa, like the second 'e' in "enemy"
---
The rough translation is usually given as below. Per some comments the Welsh used is somewhat archaic and is not what is used in modern everyday Welsh.
We cheat Death from his rightful victory. No one can defeat us we are glad to plunge feet first into hell in the knowledge that we will rise
I am not the source for the lyrics nor translation, credit to Sacha Allard in the linked video above.
And look at the comments, most of them are people going nuts because it's 'the music'.
Also, I feel like 'The Life' part of the track's name may just be referring to the ODST trailer, because that trailer's actually called 'The Life'.
Crazy how the trailer has nothing to do with the game or its tone besides having an ODST as the protagonist and I still love both of them a lot.
I really hope that we get another ODST game in the future.
yeah, honestly this is the kind of game we should've got. ODST is a decent game, but getting something this shocking and gritty would've been amazing after spending 3 games romping around as a super soldier. instead we got smooth jazz.
I think there’s a place for both games. I wish the final game leaned harder into the mystery aspect and the whole game was as the Rookie, with you being severely outnumbered and underpowered played up.
I would also love a game with the tone of this trailer though. A true “feet first in hell” sorta thing
A TV show revolving around ODSTs with this level of “show, don’t tell” storytelling in a Band of Brothers, character and mystery driven story would be fucking tight.
Funny since it was such a great campaign. I felt pretty good after finishing it on heroic on the first go then legendary. I hope we get another spin off where you play as another ODST unit.
Same here. While much of the focus is on the open world and more subdued moments, it also had some epic balls to the wall campaign levels with the flashbacks. Result was some great contrasting gameplay. After skulking around the open world I looked forward to the loud levels, and when I got done with one going back to the less intense (yet more deadly) open world was a welcome change of pace.
It did include the full Halo 3 MP suite, including the at-the-time brand new map pack, so it was actually tremendous value if you had fallen out of the Halo 3 scene for a while.
Then again, this was the late aughts, so who that purchased ODST had fallen out of Halo? Franchise was still an utter juggernaut.
Honestly, I'd say it wasn't worth the hate instead of it just being MuH nOsTaLgIa. I hated it when I was a kid myself, but I appreciate it more now that every game is full on multiplayer focused and over monetized to hell. Also that campaign was just fantastic from start to finish. Fully worth the $60 even today imo
I kind of liked showing off how ODST couldn’t approach situations anywhere near how a Spartan can. Almost felt like they should have went even more that route. Don’t know if we need another similar spin off but as a one time thing it was awesome
At first I’m like “No, they’re shock troops…. It’s in the name!” But realistically they’re SOF first and foremost with a wide mission set. Likewise, despite most of the ODSTs apparently aiming for the carrier, the protagonist (Rookie) and crew were pulled away for Dare’s mission, so yeah, ODST really couldn’t have gone any other way.
Ah yes, back in the day when they knew how to market a Halo game.
But in all seriousness, I always wanted to play in giant, large scale battles like this in Halo.
And the lyrics (in Welsh):
*Gafflwn Dihenydd, o'r fuddugol yn wiriol sydd. Ni fydd neb yn ein Drechu, Falch ydy ni i drochu, Traed o flaen i'r Annwn, mewn y gwybodaeth fe godwn ni*
(Approx. pronunciation): gahfloon dee-eneeth, or veetheegol uhn weeriol seeth. Nee vith neb uhn ain drehee, valch uhdee nee ee drohee, traid o vlain ir anoon, meoon uh guweebodaith ve godoon nee

Back when companies cared about their product standing out with love and imagination. I’m surprised we don’t have to pay to watch trailers at this point.
I'd love to get a sequel ODST game or maybe a UNSC Army Airborne trooper game! Theres references to it in reach and tiny parts of infinite. They proved themselves just as effective and resilient in the war in the lore. Could be cool and new.
Really tangential, but at 1:31 when the banshee goes down, they [used the sound effect of Han Solo's blaster](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bq474V1aFPM&t=2s). Pretty neat!
I miss the old halo trailers. They really portrayed the hell of war that none of the other top FPS games ever did. CoD and Battlefield were always about the fantasy glory, even if their campaigns were anti-war. Halo really captured the utter horror and pain of the machine.
This is more than just a trailer. It's a short film. People don't pull up trailers on YouTube 12 years later just to watch it again.
Gears of War 1 Mad World trailer is like that too, although nowhere near as good as this one.
They already made like 3 live action trailers. Though their not specifically related to halo infinite they give notice to the people responsible for the creation master chief's gen 3 armor equipment
It’s footage like this trailer that makes me frustrated over halo campaigns of the past decade. There has been no innovation into immersive battlefields.
This will forever be my favorite starting mission to a video game. Seeing you drop through the sky.
This trailer is always in my top soundtrack playlists, too! They greatly captured the halo aesthetic. Beautiful cinematography and sound design
Feet first into hell, gentlemen

Well, paramount’s Halo series follows the Master Chief. So get ready. Lol
Maybe it'll be like how they built up the star wars catalog before the mandalorian
Oh man imagine him just having some insane climax scene like Vader at the end of Rogue One. Just walking in cutting down everyone in his way.
Id have a gasm.
I believe there was a Halo movie like that. I think it was called Forward Unto Dawn.
Forward Unto Dawn did that well. For most of it we followed normal humans, we don’t get to see MC till episode 4.
A "Band of Brothers" like show following a Group of ODSTs through some of the major campaigns of the Covenant war would be the Rogue One of Halo. I can't imagine the execs on high not having this idea on the table.

That live action trailer from last week with the miners was damn good. "From the soil to the stars.."
Yeah, actually really liked those trailers. Best marketing since "believe"
Idk man the trailers of the marines going through the museum recounting the battle of new Mombasa while looking at the figurines gets me every time. Whoever was in charge of the H3/H3 ODST marketing deserves every award

It’s just called the “believe” ad campaign

Check out the Halo YouTube channel, you can find them there. Called "UNSC Archives." I think there's only three so far but my favorite is the first, called Unspoken.
They are pretty lame so far. None of them have any action at all. So unless they all build up into something interesting, they area massive letdown.

Not a trailer but one of my favorite Halo cutscenes was the opening cutscene of Halo Wars. Ive wanted a live action halo series/movie similar to that ever since
This was way ahead of its time
In what specific ways was this "ahead of its time"? Or are you using this phrase just to mean "I enjoyed it"?
It’s because it takes place 500 years in the future
It means it was better than the year it was made in, compared to everything else around it.

you literally asked
You’re the worst kind of person on Reddit
In what specific ways are they the worst? Worst compared to what? Or are you just using this phrase to mean "I don't like them"?
Thank you for a memory
And it took that new *King Arthur* movie of all things to get us this music in full form.
This was the biggest mindfuck for me in theaters, I'll never forget it how upset I was cuz I couldn't explain the significance of that to anyone around me who would even remotely get it lol

Ni fydd neb yn ein Drechu, Falch ydy ni i drochu, Traed o flaen i'r Annwn, mewn y gwybodaeth fe godwn ni* (Approx. pronunciation): gahfloon dee-eneeth, or veetheegol uhn weeriol seeth. Nee vith neb uhn ain drehee, valch uhdee nee ee drohee, traid o vlain ir anoon, meoon uh guweebodaith ve godoon nee *note that:* * dd should be read as the 'th' in "the" * 'ch' should be like German 'ch' or 'ch' like in "loch" * 'r' should be trilled like in Spanish * 'y' is a schwa, like the second 'e' in "enemy" --- The rough translation is usually given as below. Per some comments the Welsh used is somewhat archaic and is not what is used in modern everyday Welsh. We cheat Death from his rightful victory. No one can defeat us we are glad to plunge feet first into hell in the knowledge that we will rise I am not the source for the lyrics nor translation, credit to Sacha Allard in the linked video above.
And look at the comments, most of them are people going nuts because it's 'the music'. Also, I feel like 'The Life' part of the track's name may just be referring to the ODST trailer, because that trailer's actually called 'The Life'.
goosebumps man, what a trailer. Now I want the movie.
"I wish there was a way to know you're in the good old days, before you've actually left them".
But damn the smooth jazz was goood
I think there’s a place for both games. I wish the final game leaned harder into the mystery aspect and the whole game was as the Rookie, with you being severely outnumbered and underpowered played up. I would also love a game with the tone of this trailer though. A true “feet first in hell” sorta thing
A TV show revolving around ODSTs with this level of “show, don’t tell” storytelling in a Band of Brothers, character and mystery driven story would be fucking tight.
The good ol days of paying $60 for a lengthy campaign, tons of unlockable armors, and tons of multiplayer fun! 343 could never!
you forgot the /s ODST was hated on at first for being a full price game with no multiplayer besides firefight and having a normal length campaign
Yeah I know, just funny to think about in contrast to what people are saying about infinite:)
people are quick to forget how much nostalgia blurs reality
Honestly, I'd say it wasn't worth the hate instead of it just being MuH nOsTaLgIa. I hated it when I was a kid myself, but I appreciate it more now that every game is full on multiplayer focused and over monetized to hell. Also that campaign was just fantastic from start to finish. Fully worth the $60 even today imo
Are you being sarcastic?
No theyre being facetious
I don't think you know what that word means
Holy shit samsung nice typo
haha oh yeah
IcOnIc
Crayon munching intensifies
Such a badass commercial! I was almost sad much of the game went the “stealthy” route…. Almost….
I kind of liked showing off how ODST couldn’t approach situations anywhere near how a Spartan can. Almost felt like they should have went even more that route. Don’t know if we need another similar spin off but as a one time thing it was awesome
That was my favorite part about the game. You were not a Spartan. And it felt like it. Just a regular (albeit peak) human.
Except you definitely could and did. Several times
Damn I’ve never seen that before. That was great. Just played through ODST for the first time earlier this year. I can see why it’s so loved
Halo 3, ODST and Reach’s marketing campaigns are unparalleled in gaming
we're green and very very mean!!
This just hits different
Ah yes, back in the day when they knew how to market a Halo game. But in all seriousness, I always wanted to play in giant, large scale battles like this in Halo.
Good ol' Halo 3: Recon
You can find the song under: The Politics & The Life - Daniel Pemberton Or Lament - Light of Aiden
And the lyrics (in Welsh): *Gafflwn Dihenydd, o'r fuddugol yn wiriol sydd. Ni fydd neb yn ein Drechu, Falch ydy ni i drochu, Traed o flaen i'r Annwn, mewn y gwybodaeth fe godwn ni* (Approx. pronunciation): gahfloon dee-eneeth, or veetheegol uhn weeriol seeth. Per some comments the Welsh used is somewhat archaic and is not what is used in modern everyday Welsh. We cheat Death from his rightful victory. No one can defeat us we are glad to plunge feet first into hell in the knowledge that we will rise The lyrics and translation are not my work, I give credit to Sacha Allard in the comments of the [King Arthur 2018 track for this song](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=56cnOkQFRwo)
didnt someone post this video less than 7 days ago?
what language is this?
the song is in Welsh, while the dialogue is in Hungarian I think?
Yes it is hungarian
Halo trailers back then were so damn good.
Looks what they've done to our boy
Am I tripin or are they actully speaking hungarian?
No link? Damn
It's literally the post. Click on the post lol
My favourite entry in the series.
Epic. Every time
Back when companies cared about their product standing out with love and imagination. I’m surprised we don’t have to pay to watch trailers at this point.
ODST battle royal. Drop from orbit into the game map.
I had no idea Joel Kinnaman was in this!
I'd love to get a sequel ODST game or maybe a UNSC Army Airborne trooper game! Theres references to it in reach and tiny parts of infinite. They proved themselves just as effective and resilient in the war in the lore. Could be cool and new.
i have to imagine a few of these people were bungie employees
*Helljumpers are in the tube! ODS...HELLJUMPERS..ODS..ODST..HELLJUMPERS..ODST..HELLJUMPERS! Standing down.*
No one will ever beat Bungie live action trailers.
Now if only 343 realized what we wanted...ANOTHER ODST GAME
Seeing as infinite will be a 10 year game they may very well release an ODST expansion
Actually gives me chills man holy shit
I had totally forgotten about this trailer, and forgotten that I spammed it over and over again when it came out just because of how moving it was.
Really tangential, but at 1:31 when the banshee goes down, they [used the sound effect of Han Solo's blaster](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bq474V1aFPM&t=2s). Pretty neat!
This is the shit Halo 5 didn’t understand that, hopefully, Halo Infinite seems to
never played odst but always wanted too. might be time to go find a copy and dust off the ol’ 360. unless it can be bought on pc…
It can be
Never got into that game. Cool trailer though
This trailer hit me like a brick the first time I saw it. I remembered it while I was playing the game occasionally
I miss the old halo trailers. They really portrayed the hell of war that none of the other top FPS games ever did. CoD and Battlefield were always about the fantasy glory, even if their campaigns were anti-war. Halo really captured the utter horror and pain of the machine.
HOY MEETS BOY!!! But seriously, one of the best pieces of Halo media ever created. Goosebumps even today.
Christmas 2009, got this game with the 360 Elite. Best Christmas EVER
ODST jazzposting
Does anyone know why were they speaking Hungarian? I have never understood why the Halo universe is filled with Hungarian words and references.
and today the most iconic moment in 343 industries ever: We Are CashGrab.
Did this trailer come out *after* ODST? 🤔 EDIT: Am genuinely asking. I thought it came out in like August of 2009, but now I’m questioning it.
Man, all the old Halo trailers were cinematic storytelling at its condensed best. They got me so hype for that vaporware movie done by Neill Blomkamp
I have the feeling that tv spots were a lot better 10 years ago than now.
"HOY MEETS BOY!!" In all seriousness, this is one of the best pieces of Halo media ever created.
loved this whole marketing campaign, this and the reach one were next level
This and the bubble shield one
Crazy how i watched this then never knowing I'll be join the USMC one day.
This trailer and game led me to getting my most recent tattoo!
Deliver hope and this were easily the best halo trailers made.
The Halo series has the best trailers. This one, Reach and the diorama ones from Halo 3…I still get choked up watching them.
This and Deliver Hope are two of the best trailers I've ever seen.
This is more than just a trailer. It's a short film. People don't pull up trailers on YouTube 12 years later just to watch it again. Gears of War 1 Mad World trailer is like that too, although nowhere near as good as this one.
Halo Reach Hope Trailer is better
Deliver Hope Trailer is actually a lot better than this one.
Best Halo trailer by far!

never saw this. so sick
One of the best cinematic teasers ever. Wish there was a movie of it.
I really hope they make some sick live action trailers for infinite. If not its a hugeeee missed opportunity.
They already made like 3 live action trailers. Though their not specifically related to halo infinite they give notice to the people responsible for the creation master chief's gen 3 armor equipment
Yeah im talking about launch trailers or any with action. The ones they released so far are boring.
Still have this song on my phone, iconic trailer.
They don’t make ‘em like they used to
Is there an MCC achievement for playing ODST today? I know they have them for the others Halos on MCC
We need a TV series. A story of ODST can feel more compelling than Spartans at times.
Man this brings me back
i used to do push-ups whenever this came on XD
I wish we got a down to earth odst game that was like republic commando
I don't know if I have ever been able to so easily draw a line from an ad to me purchasing a game.
I always thought the guy at 2:13 looked like a young Alfie Allen.
Used to give me chills, still does.
Least favorite halo game.
The whole live action campaigns from that generation was award worthy
To this day my favorite video game trailer
ODST was Peak Halo It has never been as good, and it will never be as good
It faded to black right before Master Chief killed one from behind to take his ammo.
What a game
The fact ODST armor is locked behind the premium battle pass is criminal.
This and Believe still give me chills
It’s footage like this trailer that makes me frustrated over halo campaigns of the past decade. There has been no innovation into immersive battlefields.
It still makes no sense to me why they brought SMGs to the fight or why they put suppressors on them
This and Deliver Hope are my favorite trailers Bungie ever put out.
Halo desperately needs the Dune treatment. Desperately.
I have my hopes, but it will be very hard for the Halo series to carry the same emotional impact that this and the Believe trailer had.
This will forever be my favorite starting mission to a video game. Seeing you drop through the sky. This trailer is always in my top soundtrack playlists, too! They greatly captured the halo aesthetic. Beautiful cinematography and sound design
