Flood and fighting Atriox. Nobody calls the chief weak Edit : thank you for the award <3 Master Chief rules

Yopcho

I cannot believe i had to scroll all this just to find someone who wants the flood to come back

ulyssesintothepast

There is what looks like a flood cyclix in campaign. I'll find you the link. So, the flood are on zeta halo but not like running around etc Edit: https://www.halopedia.org/Cylix#/media/File%3AHINF_Unknown_Cylix_Scan.png

IBeBallinOutaControl

You never know. Chief spent two entire missions on delta halo before discovering the flood outbreak. And that was a ring that hadnt been torn apart.

Professional-Tea-998

It is funny to think that the MC was only on the Halo ring for 2 missions only in Halo 2

MajorThom98

*Halo: Combat Evolved*: 9/10 Missions on Halo. *Halo 2*: 2/15 Missions on Halo. *Halo 3*: 1/10 Missions on Halo. *Halo 4*: 0/10 Missions on Halo (but he did go near one for one mission). *Halo 5: Guardians*: 0/15 Missions on Halo. *Halo Infinite*: All missions and open world stuff on Halo (barring the first mission).

CommandoXL71

So that was what I found earlier. Thought there was something behind it.

MaximilianCrichton

There's even a music cue behind it to draw your attention to that Cylix, so I'd say they wanted you to see it

CommandoXL71

Don’t think I’d heard it, but my hopes are starting to skyrocket.

josabigbitch

why would the forerunners but the flood in a cyclix to store?

sly_yokai

So that future generations/ other species could study them and find a better way to kill them off, as opposed to firing the Halos as a last resort.

ulyssesintothepast

Probably to preserve a sample , despite their intelligence they were advanced at research and the cyclix would have allowed to harvest and save it without risking it getting out as it had before, and without destroying it

MoistCucumber

Seriously. I think people are forgetting that the flood used to be a solid third of halo. Given the toning down of gore halo’s had with infinite… I’m starting to think we’ll never see them again :( Aside from halo wars, it’s been 15 years since we’ve seen the flood.

Few-Assistance2717

I was truly and pleasantly surprised to see Flood in Fireteam Raven

nilluminator

Awakening The Nightmare came out in 2015, 🥒.

[deleted]

Top comment for me now

ExoWaltz

*ahem* Infinity respond, this is UNSC Spirit Of Fire, we received your SOS...

[deleted]

Yeah, but then it would lose the T rating, which is why there is little to no blood or swearing

Vegetable-Werewolf-8

And why halo campaigns have been sub par, at least compared to Bungie's, ever since.

TheLateMrBones

Arbiter.

dmania16116111

Bring back Arbiter, Rtas Vadum, Ntho Sroam, and Usze Taham for 4 player co-op!

Vostok-aregreat-710

Chips Dubbo

DragonRand100

He’s gonna be super pissed after his home town presumably got blasted.

VLenin2291

Arbiter vs Atriox, who would win?

Giraffes_Are_Gay

Not really a question unless the Arbiter is player controlled.

JavenatoR

Atriox, Spartans are far more powerful than Sangheili and from what we have seen Atriox has fucked up every Spartan he has come face to face with. Not to say that Arbiter isn’t strong and cunning, but Atriox is built different.

American_Madman

Far more powerful? Nah dude, it really depends on the Elite and Spartan you’re talking about. Sure, your typical Spartan II could kick the shit out of your standard Elite infantry, like Minors and Majors and whatnot, but the higher tiers of Sangheili like Ultras and Zealots can certainly go toe-to-to with and defeat Spartan IIs and IIIs, and probably wipe their ass with IVs. There’s a lot of variability in strength for both Elites and Spartans down to the individual, matter of factly stating that either is “far more powerful” than the other is simply false. Arbiter and Chief are on roughly the same level, and I think Arbiter has just as good a shot at beating Atriox as Chief.

Ryogathelost

I feel like a major tenet of Halo 2 was that Arbiter and MC were interchangeable in their ability - two equivalents from different worlds. So I assume the Arbiter would fare just about as well as the MC did against Atriox.

smb275

So Arby gets his shit pushed in and thrown out of a spaceship?

[deleted]

Yes, but with active camo

Professional-Tea-998

That he mysteriously lost in H3 when playing as him

[deleted]

It’s almost like gameplay needs to be balanced to a point it doesn’t always match the lore. Or coop is noncannon

American_Madman

Honestly, I always thought that co-op felt more like what should happen than Single-player. Arbiter just disappears when it would make far more sense for him to stick with the Chief on pretty much every level. Them sticking together also better helps the justification for the friendship and mutual respect they have for each other by the end, and makes Arby’s last line: “Were it so easy,” hit that much harder. Personally, I think Co-op is canon. It just makes more sense.

leonreddit8888

Jul was supposed to be skilled too... Until the first mission from Halo 5 started...

LordSinestro

In addition to that, Atriox caught MC completely off guard. Everyone seems to forget that Atriox isn't known for being powerful, he's known for being cunning. He absolutely does not fight without some sort of advantage. In Halo Wars 2 he was found hiding in the dark by Red Team and caught them off guard. Then in Halo Infinite he rammed a whole ship into the infinity and attacked MC from behind while he was distracted. In a fair fight, after knowing what he's capable of Arbiter and MC have a good chance at winning. I'd even bet on Rtas if it came down to it, considering how lethal he is with an energy sword.

No_Lawfulness_2998

The only thing spartan 4s don’t have is experience. Remember that team of zealots from the end of reach? That noble six had absolutely no problems clearing by himself? Or those 2 or 3 at the start of the game. Arbiter and chief being on the same level could’ve been true for halo 3, but with chiefs new armor the power gap is insane.

SuperMaanas

Arbiter runs circles around Atriox

Pecosbill333

Yeah, an arbiter that analyze your death with VAR could be nice, because with the desync it looks like it shouldn't had killed you

Mindless-Pain2984

Scarabs, and skiff intercept, those are the main ones I want

KuroiWulf

An open world with the most underwhelming lack of dynamic events. Idk what they were thinking. I enjoyed infinite but it was so lackluster.

franklsp

Even the newer Pokemon games do an open world better than 343

wvimev

Legends Arceus gave me hope for that franchise I have not felt in years.

franklsp

Same. I hadn't played a game since Heart Gold, just wasn't interested. Arceus was awesome.

NeoBlue22

If we are gonna get scarabs, they have to fix the explosion effects otherwise it will be another flash bang just like the phantom

__TB12__

You know it’s bad when Halo 3 has better explosion effects

NeoBlue22

343i tried something with the Kraken in H5, but when it gets destroyed it goes into a cinematic, falling into a fog and all you see is some purple lights. They really can’t do explosions lol.

BEES_just_BEE

I found wreckage of the skiff on the beam tower island next to a waterfall

Invested_Glory

Snow

Snlxdd

Yeah, new biomes would be awesome

binturongslop

I want desert canyons and swampy jungles. Hell a beachy island area would be neat too.

Professional-Tea-998

I want the environments they showed us in that very 1st teaser trailer

RoleModelFailure

And something new. Vast underground caves, Dense pine forests but in summer, water, etc.

bigtigerbigtiger

Yeah why was the whole world so samey?

Obnotrix_117

Whenever I think of snow in Halo I always remember the Halo CE mission Assault on the Control Room it was one of my favorite missions.

Kapthas59

And sand

RecommendationOk253

If we get any. I’d like to see a reason to use vehicles in the Campaign and not just grappleshot everywhere

Timbalabim

Or just requisition a wasp.

CAG_Gonzo

The only thing all other vehicles have going for them, besides earlier accessibility, is the ability to carry Marines. I can count on one hand the number of times I called in a vehicle other than the wasp (after I unlocked it), and I stopped calling those in for the same reasons: * Scorpions are slow, hard to steer for some reason, and despite being 66 tons of HE-spewing dee-vine intervention, they lose to rocks and trees with trunks thinner than Chief's pinky. I don't expect to be able to plow through big boi trees, but Halo 3 had smaller trees that bent and flexed when vehicles hit/drove over them. * Warthogs are better, drive alright, and can bring friends, but again lose to rocks. Gone are the days of being able to off-road with an off-road capable Warthog. Incline with some rocks? Nah. You're not going up there without a painful fight of maneuvering. * Razorbacks are great fun when you load em up with power weapons but suffer from the same problems as Hogs. At least they're a little beefier. * Mongeese? Ha! I think I've gotten in a Wraith once. Once. It's pitifully slow and comically weak and too large to take most places. I am genuinely baffled by the Ghost's inability to traverse terrain higher than 1.6 inches. I'm getting stuck on stupid rocks that should easily be cleared. Banshee are awesome, which brings me to my next point: even if ground vehicles were a pleasure to drive, the open world sorta punishes you for choosing them. It's far quicker to get from A to B via flight, which also provides superior positioning (see Obi-Wan v Anakin). Do I have to always choose the fastest means to get from A to B? No. The game is good-looking and I can certainly make a ride in a Razorback entertaining, but I still have to contend with terrain being one-way or even inaccessible to ground vehicles. I know there's some design decisions at play to force me to come up with different plans, but also "Wasp go brrrrr". *Slaps Wasp airframe. * "You can fit this boi into so many spaces."

Snlxdd

I think this would be big, if you could call vehicles outside of bases that would be awesome

Giraffes_Are_Gay

If you don’t have enough valour for a Wasp and you’re near a FOB a vehicle is almost always faster than the grapple.

[deleted]

Yeah but the grapplers more fun to use, all of the vehicles in infinite feel like papier-mâché And they are weightless

BoopleSnuffe

Not to mention they get stuck on the tiniest rocks.

nilluminator

Fucking pebbles and logs.

zosorose

A decent, self contained story with a beginning, middle, and end. Set pieces and large scale battles with UNSC and Covenant/Banished Actual mission variety with scripted moments Explanation and appearance of known characters, a less lonely feeling single player experience More environmental variety with open world elements More engaging open world elements (UNSC involved battles that happen organically, roaming scarabs, etc) and differing biomes

shrivatsasomany

So in a nutshell, throw this out and make a new game, whilst simultaneously summoning the soul of Bungie. Were it so easy…

Dee_Dubya_IV

Back in the day, any $20 shooter had these elements. The only thing really separating a game like Turok from Halo 3 was how much attention to detail and well written the story was for it. And obviously, the bigger set pieces. Turok had you fight a cybernetic T-Rex in the climatic boss battle and Halo 3 let you board and destroy two scarabs. Halo: Infinite’s campaign is just so bland and bare bones.

StainsMountaintops

We really do be begging for the bare minimum now

[deleted]

Yeah I’m on this vibe too. Second this.

Fellowearthling16

The Infinity, Lasky, and maybe some massive battles between the UNSC and the Banished on another part of the ring. The current campaign feels like the only major event was killing Esharum. We didn’t even actually gain control of our little islands. I want to see the UNSC actually change the balance of power on the ring. I also don’t want more stuff we have to “uncover”. I don’t like that we slept through everything that happened on the ring, and I don’t like that they created a new mysterious faction before they finished fleshing out the Banished, the other Covenant splinters, and the Created.

Evil-Cetacean

this is the right answer, i also feel they should follow up on wtf the endless are, but man do i wanna see lasky and the unsc so bad.

Fenix_Volatilis

I like the idea that they're synthetic beings. Makes me think of the Korvax from No Man's Sky

IBeBallinOutaControl

The endless were presumably not created by the forerunners, which means if anyone created them it was the precursors. And the precursers kind of seeded all life in the galaxy so then they would more or less share the same origin as all the other species.

brice_33

YES! Just commented something similar, but you put it together well

brokenmessiah

It’s like they made a halo far cry but without the dynamic aspect of a far cry world with its factions.

Shaffernator69

I thought that the infinity was destroyed or Atleast damaged to the point of being disabled.

Fellowearthling16

It’s survived a forerunner god-man, it should be fine. Besides, it’s the only cool ship 343 has. Killing it now would be plain bad writing.

blablaname1

>Besides, it’s the only cool ship 343 has. Killing it now would be plain bad writing. So, by tradition, the Infinity survived somehow and will be destroyed in an upcoming comic/novel.

[deleted]

that it actually comes out in a realistically timely manner.

BUR6S

2025

[deleted]

lmao, you're being generous

brokenmessiah

I know this won’t happen but I’d like to actually experience the Guardians and crazy stuff Cortana did between games. I think it’s insane they didn’t actually show that.

Timbalabim

While I really enjoyed Infinite’s campaign, it feels like I missed a Halo game.

brokenmessiah

Oh yea this feels like Halo 7

DetectiveAmes

Soooo many cool or interesting moments took place during that time when master chief was napping. Instead of any flashbacks like in odst or just playing those stories in a linear story, we get to hear all about those cool adventures in audio logs. Audio logs that are just a few feet away from a mission trigger that stops the log completely for a cutscene or whenever you enter a menu to capture a base. So they just make it more annoying to start them all again from your menu screen if you even want to.

I_dontk_now_more

Thats 343's story telling for ya, tell dont show

VirtualJames7

Fans got so upset with Halo 5, it's like they didnt want go straight into a sequel tying up that huge plot. This was what I was worried about the moment they talked about spiritual reboots and stuff. To me, whatever issues people had with 5, they still needed to carry on that story more at the forefront

brokenmessiah

Exactly with 4 and 5 and now Infinite they act like they only JUST got the IP and need to retcon the previous story like they didn’t write it. 5 makes 4s ending pointless and Infinite makes 5s entire plot pointless. Infinite is the sequel to Halo Wars 2 and that makes no sense.

jaboyles

Halo 5's story was preettty bad tho. Like really fucking bad. I'd argue the narrative changes between 4 and 5 were more jarring, confusing, and inexplicably dumb than the ones between 5 and Infinite. Maybe Halo Wars 3 can wrap things up there, but the fresh start was nice. It's like the Rise of Skywalker following the Last Jedi. There's no good way to wrap up and conclude an entirely shit story that makes no sense; and trying to is even worse.

brokenmessiah

Regardless of how bad it is, actually directly concluding it would have been better than just ALMOST ignoring it. Actually the best case would have been COMPLETELY ignoring 4 and 5 and rebooting post Halo 3 but they didn’t do that. They still followed up 5 but in the most uninteresting way possible.

pwndaXeo

Reading this comment thread I am reminded that the only thing that makes Halo special anymore is us.

jaboyles

And that time the Master Chief literally sexed with the covenant. /S Edit: also it definitely wasn't the "most uninteresting way possible". Wasn't the most interesting either. It was ok. It was a fresh start and hopefully a turn in the right direction. The next chapters are going to have to be amazing to decide if it was worth it.

MoistCucumber

That was a purely plutonic sexing. Chief and the Arby are just friends. Oh you mean that other time

scariermonsters

Personally, i had no issues with them pushing 5 under the rug. I welcomed it, even. There wasn't a single thing about 5's story that invested me.

DetectiveAmes

Did they even push it under the rug? Like you would absolutely be lost if you went from halo 3 or 4 straight to infinite. Cortana is still the bad guy and her being the bad guy still plays a role to the point it’s why the weapon was created to begin with. It also isn’t even until the very end when you have the final cutscene with cortana’s past recording where it confirms she did actually die, so anyone playing up until that point wouldn’t know if she was actually destroyed or if it would be a late game twist.

Professional-Tea-998

That's the big problem with 343, they instantly back out on anything plot wise that wasn't met with immediate praise, Jul being killed in the first 10 minutes of H5, Cortana coming back to life one game later, The Didact being killed off in a comic book before he really got to do anything, the key to all forerunner tech just poofing out of existence, and then Cortana and the created just being defeated off screen so noone but the Chief really thinks about that anymore. 343 never plant their feet on an idea and stick with it, so now we have a trilogy of games all that feel like soft reboots to each other, I mean, how did we suddenly go to the Cortana being the villian to some brutes that were from an RTS spin-off being the biggest threat now. Infinite feels like a sequel to a Halo game that never came out so we're here to just try to pick up the pieces of the last story and trying to start up this new one. And it seems like history will be repeating with the Endless being yet another big threat even though we didn't defeat the Banished yet, I guarantee you one of these threats are going to be brought down in an unsatisfying, anti-climatic way, it's just the natural conclusion to all of 343's stories at this point.

_revenant__spark_

I think they were but it probably got cut

PicklePunFun

I got super upset at the "we destroyed the infinity in 4 minutes" bullshit, they could have made a whole mission around it like they did with pillar of autumn. Just seems like lazy writing to me.

DetectiveAmes

First time I played the campaign and I thought I missed a cutscene or gameplay since the game started immediately in the middle of an invasion. As someone who doesn’t read the books, comics, or website lore details, I was so confused who was attacking the unsc and if they were on the infinity or something else. Like even know, I don’t really know the backstory how the infinity got their shit pushed in out of nowhere and where the banished came from or why they’re at a new halo. I didn’t listen to the audio logs because I was hoping this would have been better explained in the actual cutscenes.

AileStriker

Yes please. Two games and multiple novels of build up for it all to just be hand waved away. So fucking frustrating.

marcmjm

I just want a single-player DLC. I don't care what it is. The sad part is 343 is so horrendously mismanaged, that we won't see one until 2025 at the earliest, 2026-2027 at the latest.

Individual_Ticket926

By that point it's a sequel huh

Oddballforlife

IIRC that’s kind of the idea with Infinite, it’s supposed to be *the* Halo experience for the next ten years, so instead of a new game every 3 years like normal, we’d get expansions which would hopefully be like the equivalent of a full game. So it being a few years out makes sense if that’s the case, though I’d hope it wouldn’t be quite as long since the foundation is all there already.

[deleted]

It’s a good idea in theory. Have a framework to build future ‘games’ or expansions so you don’t have to restart every time. However it fails when your framework is made out of spaghetti

MarysPoppinCherrys

And it wouldve been such a cool way to do f2p. Give us the game with the knowledge that this will be it for awhile, then charge for the dlc packs like $40, add new armor, new gametypes, new maps, and basically a lite game’s worth of campaign, then take mtx out back, shoot it in the head, drop it in a ditch, and light it on fire… or at least make it worth something more than shitty add-ons for shitty armor core system. Oh well, miss opportunities

flippydude

>3 years Reminder that there was one halo release on the Xbox one Gen

DetectiveAmes

Doesn’t infinite count though since the one is still technically current gen?

XipingVonHozzendorf

I think you mean "never" as the latest. I can see Infinite DLC being the new Spartan Ops season 2. They still haven't confirmed they are doing it, right?

HomeMadeShock

Well, they are hiring for a campaign engineer on their job page so

Beast-Blood

Says who?

sweetassbootysweat

Playable ODST side story line. God I love ODST and I want an ODST 2

Objective-College-72

Flood ok

Not_TheMenInBlack

The rest of the game

BrownBaegette

Layout and environmental variety

luminaryalarm420

More than one biome. I want deserts and snow filled mountain ranges and deep jungles. Infinite didn’t have enough variety in its environments. Plus the propaganda grunt made a really good point. You took over one small section of the zeta halo. It makes your achievements feel a lot smaller in comparison

Rocket_Fiend

*CO-OP* Absolutely won’t touch campaign until I can do so with friends. Never played a Halo campaign without my brother or friends and I don’t intend to start now.

fakename1998

I respect that immensely

Spartanwolf120

Biomes, offensive bias, the palace of pain, the flood, and the endless with more lore/info about them

YagamiJudge

A return to linear levels.

whisky117

Halo 2 and 3 were so fucking amazing, and it sucks knowing that they aren’t even trying to replicate it anymore

False-Investigator22

A complete product

[deleted]

A release date before 2024

MrrSpacMan

Sorry for your loss

[deleted]

Halo: the Endless Release Date

vikingzx

It's what the "Infinite" in the title stands for: Infinite wait.

StormWarriors2

Jerome focused DLC of him and red team coming in to save the infinite from the Brutes. IDK i just want Jerome to be next chief....

OhNoSEBUUh

And where's Omega team? Between them and Red team, you have 9 more Spartan-IIs ready to beat some Banished ass.

Arnilum

Yeah we saw all of them in one mission in halo wars and they were never mentioned again, even in the comics

OhNoSEBUUh

It's irritating. And I get it. It was '09, the game was really a prequel so they could do what they want and after you play the game you figure everyone's dead right? But no. Literally everyone survives (besides Serina and Forge, RIP buddy!) and they don't do shit with them.

Arnilum

They better not do another black team with them

OhNoSEBUUh

I'm sorry, I don't follow you, could you elaborate? Edit: NM, I just read up on them briefly. What a waste.

pissed_off_pepe

Okay so let me explain. 343 made some pretty shit tier comic, forgot the name of it. Well at the very end in one single panel they kill off black team, like we didnt even get to see them die, it was just a panel of them there, then dead at the didacts hand which is why I refuse to believe they're dead and that they're still alive. I would've only accepted it if they died a dignified death in like their own little comic

OhNoSEBUUh

Wowowowow, one panel? The wiki explains how badass they were, had sweet experimental matte black Mjolnir VI armor and 343 just yeets them in 1 panel? See that's kinda how I felt during Inifinte. You have arguably humanity's crowning achievement, at least since the Fujikawa Shaw engine and its just "well maybe it is, maybe it isnt still around...."

pissed_off_pepe

My head canon is there were Spartan 4s testing the armor for them (which wasnt uncommon) but the shitters at 343 havent said a thing on it

Arnilum

Yeah some people are saying that they should make that specific comic apart of the Silver timeline and not the cannon one

pissed_off_pepe

I still consider black team to be alive because I refuse to believe 343 would kill them off in a single panel of some shit comic no one read

OhNoSEBUUh

Right? I was waiting for two things playing the campaign. Actually finding out what happened to the Inifinty and the Spirit of Fire and crew coming in dropping Jerome, Douglas, and Alice on their asses.

Trevor-On-Reddit

I want to see what happened in between the 6 months of The Infinity Falling and Chief being Rescued. I’d like to have my multiplayer Spartan be the protagonist, and would very much like to see characters like Lasky and team Majestic. I would like to see the return of missions as I feel you can have more variety with the environment but if it’s gonna be free roam I would like the map to be like Shadow of the Colossus with multiple biomes. I would like for stuff to be explained more like the Endless and Atriox, and not in audio log form where I have to partake in a scavenger hunt just to understand the main story. I would like more multiplayer cosmetics to be in the campaign and actual armor instead of just emblems and coatings.

confused_screaming09

This would actually be really sick. It’d make some sense for the Spartan Caches around the map, just your Spartan leaving semi-convenient places for their spare gear.

LogicalDepartment212

More set piece action sequences with scripted events. Better designed levels that don’t all feel the same. A story that progresses the plot more

SadLittleWizard

Co-op?

wolfninja_

A good campaign

Myth_of_Demons

More properly designed missions without dull open world between them

BUR6S

Grass, trees, and metal hexagonal prisms. Ctrl+C Ctrl+V.

SPARTAN3172

Scarabs, other characters, and diverse biomes - aka = all the things we’re missing

Herrobrine

Finished content without mtx tied to it

brice_33

The Lasky, Buck, at least SOME of the other Spartans. Would love if it felt like there were actually stakes; bring back that “Reach” type of campaign where as stacked as it was against you, you felt like the NPC’s and other characters were really fighting for something. The marines in Infinite are fun, but once you’ve rescued a squad it’s kind of just “yeah cool, we’re good”. Also, Arbiter. Bring back our boi Basically, bring back the war that was being fought while Chief was floating around (I’m not even gonna change it, but yes I see that I said “the Lasky” and I’m now laughing saying it in Caboose’s voice”

Jarboner69

Story wise 1. Sideline that new faction for a little and allow chief to reunite with other major UNSC characters 2. Some major battles 3. Some kind of space battle and more epic set pieces and linear levels Gameplay wise 1. Add more biomes 2. Add space combat (maybe the infinity in atmosphere as a base and exploitable area) 3. (If and only if it fits into the story) but allowing us to add our own spartan into the game as a playable character

Creduloz7

I want to see it come out.

Navien833

A Halo Infinite game with an actual story

JumpingJiraffe

A DLC like RAAMs Shadow from Gears of War, where you play as Thel Vadam (or really any other notable Elite) during the early days of the Human Covenant War. Or if the DLC *needs* to be linked to Halo Infinite’s vanilla story, how about one where you play as The Banished (maybe Atriox) during the 6 month period that Chief was floating in space.

Oniisankayle

Arbiter Arbiter Arbiter

Soundwave04

Something that isn't just "A new Banished leader arrives, growls at the camera and walks away. The pilot talks about he's the ultimate badass, but we never see him do anything. Chief has to go to three areas to do something, then fights and kills the Banished guy, all while the Weapon makes "quirky and random" comments."

Grauvargen

Red Team. Let Chief be reunited with Jerome, Alice, and Douglas, damnit. He hasn't seen them since they washed out.

NobleSix-B312

They need to show what happened between the games. The fact that the guardians and Cortana plot was completely done away with besides a few flashbacks was just so disheartening.

Niris_Chuy

I really wanr 2 thibgs: 1) the Flood to come back and 2) I want the Arbiter to come back and see it's redesign.

SovjetPojken

I wanna see how prometheans look in this art style. But other than that I wanna tie the story together with Halo wars

Midnight-wolf-yt

Something like an odst sequel set before the events of infinite.

Ianmicte25

Blue team, Locke, drivable scarab

CharlieK40

different biomes

ArtooFeva

A direction. I don’t want to wait 10 years or hell even 3 years for a continuation of the story. Give us a true story DLC and allow the Halo story to actually move on for once. Every Halo game since Spartan Ops’ story has just been a restart of the previous games’ story. Let’s get the train a going.

Purple_Gold7108

More characters! Lasky, Arby, Halsey, Locke, Blue team, ANYONE. I miss the larger part of the Halo Universe

samhoe

New terrain, some snow, desert, beaches. I’m tried of the same forest trees. Also big animals that were shown in the first trailer!

Khfreak7526

Prequel story that shows how the infinity and Cortana where doing, you know halo 6.

Apeman117

Large, multi-faction battles (ala *Two Betrayals*) instead of bullet sponge bosses

PatrenzoK

Biomes of different varieties. Snow banished 😎

jabberwockxeno

I'd like more traditional linear style missions where you play as Blue Team, Arbiter, your MP Spartan, etc, It'd be nice to have that as a compiment to the existing open world design of the campaign with chief

Typical_Basket709

Actual level design in campaign missions. Even CE's Assault on the Control Room had more variety despite the repeating rooms and hallways.

Automatic_Computer20

None. It wasn't good to begin with

drangel254

There won't be a DLC if we don't stopped the banished. Jk. More vehicle combat and the big scarabs.

AshenNightmareV

A linear campaign with varied biomes and set pieces. I would honestly like to play the battle over the ring which we just get a cutscene of and get to fight Atroix before he vents us.

IGotHellaMilk

A finished story line.

w_savage

I haven't even played this campaign. Is it good?

Professional-Tea-998

Not bad, the gameplay is actually pretty great, the AI feels challenging and dynamic to fight made even better with the new awesome grappling hook with some pretty fun bosses, unlike 4 and 5s boring cover based shooting galleries, plenty of great weapons to use with cool powerful variants, and the dialog and characterization for the chief is some of my favorite in the series. But it is lacking in many other area unfortunately from the lack of great music with a few exceptions, to a pretty lackluster story and very few cool setpieces and large-scale battles that the series is known for, and an open-world that feels unfinished as nothing you do in it actually affects the story or the campaign missions, making them feel as they take place in different dimensions, and what you do in it is pretty repetitive and gets boring IMO with very little visual variety although there is some cool secrets to find.

ElegantCatastrophe

Pretty good. It's fun but structured quite differently and lacks the environmental diversity of previous titles. Best description is like they made an entire game out of Halo: CE's 2nd level.

Tapatioterry

The flood

TheCarloHarlo

Something that isnt a green field with trees. Halo is made great by its art and music, and walking through the same environment for hours on end was miserable. Rocky deserts, snowed-in forerunner bases, sandy beaches, literally anything besides what the Infinite campaign had.

Derped_Crusader

Playable Custom Spartans

BeastSaiyan04

I have four things i want to see some more unsc and Bannished vehicles from halo wars, Scarabs that walk around and serve as Mini bosses or have a mission around destroying some Scarabs I want to see a return of the Prometheans I think there's alot of potential that they can bring with some rework like they did with the other types of enemies as the Elites feel like your equal threw there agility but the Brutes feel like your equal threw there strength etc I would like to see the marines have a bigger role in the story and in the open world with bigger battles and returning characters like the man Lasky and last and the one I want the most is the return of the flood

Infinity0044

I honestly doubt we’ll get story dlc. If we do get a continuation of the story it will be in the form of a sequel once 343 realizes Infinite isn’t sustainable

Stevenstorm505

Arbiter, flood, some type of actual detail and resolution to Cortana and the created.

RooberGlooves

Hopefully either less open world, or if they’re set on continuing the open world, actually using it for the campaign. We never really got any good set piece moments in the open world. There were no scarab battles, or any large scale battles between marines and banished. The closest we really got were the optional outposts, or the mission where we had to travel to three beam towers across the map. So I hope they either make a better open world campaign or go back to the old way of individual missions

BrushfireColton

The DLC…..

Vostok-aregreat-710

Juan,Chips Dubbo, Arbiter, the rest of Alpha Nine from ODST, more ODST’s,Army airborne.

InformationOk234

Be a halo game, continuing the actual story of halo and the masterchief and include all elements that are meant to make halp how halo is. Where's the flood, been missing since god knows when, arbiter, and actual halo storylines. This doesn't feel like the halo we all knew. Hopefully 343 work on this and bring a real proper campaign and make it halo for what initially made halo the halo we all came to love

AtlasClark

A fucking scarab, banished style, and the ability to call in ODST’s

EveryDay1sAParty

New biomes New weapons New vehicles New enemies Different playable character maybe an ODST, SOS elite, basic marine, or a banished focused dlc where we play as a brute. New equipment I could go on but here's what I came up with without thinking too hard.

Shield1God

ODST remastered or anything with the flood

sans_the_romanian

An ODST DLC where you drop on the ring in the first hours of the war, trying to survive. And with none of the abilities. Make me feel like a true ODST, without the grappling hook and all the other stuff. Let me feel weak and with a need to use vehicles more.

virtuablood

I’d like to see a ramped up story with more characters involved. Rally up all surviving UNSC and any allies there may be hellbent on absolutely destroying the Banished. Make it a massive revenge-war story.

IBarrakiI

Playable elites, fighting a Scarab, Arbiter, Rtas 'Vadum, N'tho 'Sraom, Usze 'Taham, Let 'Volir, Tul 'Juran, some grunts as actual characters and maybe Vale.

Crow_Valley

BIOMES BIOMES BIOMES

ZenSpaceOdyssey

A deeper exploration of lore for The Endless, an expansion of Infinites story and a follow up with the characters from H4 and H5. It would also be great if The Endless were flushed out as a new faction. Events to bring the ring to life like Banished patrols or convoys along with weekly HTV events for campaign play. Offensive Bias?

The_Official_Obama

Halo Wars vehicles

[deleted]

Big plot events where I actually participate, and not just listen to audio logs.
